Noora

Of all my Arabian perfumes - and I have about 70 gorgeous little bottles, from all sorts of tiny and larger perfume houses - Noora has turned out to be my most worn, most loved attar. Something about the sweetness of honey, lilies and vanilla with an armful of roses and the barest underbrushing of saffron meld into an incredibly pleasing composition, a fragrance that everyone, of every age seems to enjoy. I love some of the heavier Arabian style perfumes, I especially love the sweeter compositions with lashings of saffron, and I even can admit to liking some liberally oud laced lovelies that, thankfully, missed the train to the barnyard...but this - this FABULOUS, super affordable Noora is absolutely scrumptious, from its first sweet entry to its lingering memories, 24 hours later, of lilies, roses and exotically elegant ladies. This fits about every picture of a glorious scent I can think of, additionally, it does an amazing job at being the underpinning to many of my Western perfume collection, especially when a little warmth and sweetness would make the Western scent "perfect". To me, Noora is a rare 10/10: If this was the only perfume I owned, I would be ok with that. A little deprived,but ok. Its that good.

Scent: 8 What i smell the most is the honey. I can feel too the Orange, but not a bitter Orange but a sweet Orange. Saffron and rose are appreciables here too. I like the smell of this perfume but i find It a bit lineal. Longevity: 8 Noora last quite muchas time. Un my skin around 6 hours. This is quite good, more attebding to the price, but being an oil i thoughr It would have a bit better performance. Sillage: 7 As most attars noora has not a very intense projection. It acts more as a skin scent, only appreciable from short distances. Even so It is better here than in other perfume oils that i have tried. Price/quality: 10 I have paid 12€/20ml what is great. Versatility: 10 Noora id very versatile. It can be wore every day at any time but for me It is better during the day. I see It as a totally unisex fragance and suitable for any range of age. Total: 8.5

Review for the oil: A room filler in the beginning, starts off with a syrupy sweet, orange honey, which then dries down to a soft saffron, vanilla honey scented soap bar. About 3 hours after, the scent sits a few inches from the skin, however it's still very noticeable, especially for close encounters. Noora lasts around 8 hours on me. This scent does well in all types of weather and seasons, in fact, I think it really blooms during summertime. Can be worn day or night. It leans a bit more to the feminine side, however men who love oriental spicy, sweet scents can get away with it too. Overall, Noora is a GORGEOUS scent that is very versatile. It embodies elegance, class and uniqueness. For the price, it really is a steal! Big LOVE!

I love love love this perfume! I have the oil and I'll admit that when I first bought this I was not very into the scent, but as I wore it, it seemed to sit far better on me than it did within the bottle lol. The honey scent really jumps out at you all the way through the journey but it does also dry down into some floral and vanilla notes very nicely beyond that. Personally, this is my favorite oil, I can't get enough! Definitely try it out if you would like a warm honey-sweet sort of perfume!

This perfume is delicious. Please donnot judge it by smelling it from the bottle, specially if it came to you by post and has been in a cold enviroment. Let it template a couple of days and try it then. It will come alive on your skin. To me this is a gourmand fragrance that plays in the same leage as Angel of TM. Smells like patchouli, chocolate, honney, yellow flowers, rose and musk to me. All deliciously blended.

Noora is a warm, dark, spiced, honey-forward scent. It smells much more complex than honey right out of the jar and does not smell sickly sweet to me. Noora is immediately clockable as a scent of middle eastern origin. The oil is insanely potent- a few small drops are enough for me all day. Though marketed towards women, I could see a very cool and amazing smelling man rocking this.

What a different vanilla fragrance. Sandalwood, honey, saffron and orange blossom. Stays close to skin & throws very faint. If you like vanilla/creamy fragrance you’ll love this. On some women it smells like cherry almond, on others it smells like faint orange sandalwood. Adjusts uniquely to each individual and the bottle is great.

This is my current signature fragrance. It opens up smelling slightly soapy but after a few minutes saffron and honey take over and linger for the rest of the day. Lasts a full day, from morning to evening. Perfect in the winter time

Very warm, heavy almond, cherry and saffron. Reminded me of Forest Essentials’ Soundarya (and Swiss Arabian’s Daeeman). Longevity isn’t as good as the woodier CPOs from this brand. Settles down to a faint vanilla.

I really like it. Fore me its smells like Almond liquor - Amareto. Sweet and bitter at the same time. The drye down is a little soapy

So far. It is a little "thinner" than I expected, i.e. the scent lacks some depth. It is a very pretty scent. I smell vanilla, chocolate, maybe a hint of coffee and orange but it is more like orange blossom to me than actual orange. These are beautiful notes and it is a very pleasing, nonintrusive scent but I just wish it had more oomph. There needs to be more chocolate and more orange. The vanilla could be smokier, denser. I do like it but it doesn't seem very strong on me and I doubt it will last long on me either. It did remind me of Coco noir initially but then that didn't last. I think this needs to be layered with something else. I have noticed my Mukhallat al oud by Rasasi seems a bit thin too and I can layer with virtually anything as there is no dominance in this perfume. I think I prefer something more powerful, more heady and more in control. So, Noora, while you are beautiful, perhaps this Divine Light means you are not a heavy perfume? Or, you quietly sit in the background like a good girl? If so, then nice to meet you but I think you blend into the background too easily. I like to stand out a little more. This is initial impressions, I could change my mind - wink woman's prerogative! Edit***** I put this on before I went to bed, after my shower, I could still smell it on my skin in the morning - very syrupy sweet, but still there. No sillage though.

Really really love this. I own the oil version. For the first 2-3 hours of wear this is an intense honey bomb on me, very sweet, yet not headache or nausea inducing. In this phase projection is enormous on me. First compliment I got from hubby when walking in the room right after applying. 'You smell so nice!' The next few hours i get whiffs of musk, vanilla and soft florals. Honey remains the dominating note, though the entire scent starts to remain closer to the skin now. 6 hrs into wear in hot humid climate with quite some sweating i do have to lift my arm up to my nose to still perceive it. But what remains is a wonderful blend of saffron, some spice and musk. To me this is clearly feminine, but I can see how some men could pull this off too. But if you're a guy and considering it, you really should test it before buying. It's sweet, comforting, multifacetted and quite interesting in the way it develops. To me there's quite a luxurious feel to it. And yeah, for the 1000 Indian Rupees (approx. 14 USD) it cost me this is a clear win for me.

Initially Noora reminds me of Armani Code for women with its delicious honey and citrus notes. This, however, evolves into something quite sultry and sexy, and totally edible. The saffron offers a beautiful spicy undertone, a little like sweet licorice, but more like the red candy licorice, not the black natural confection with its anise-like character. Yes, Noora is quite syrupy and a little synthetic to the nose. There is also a bit of an almond/cherry nuance in Noora -- a friendly sweet cough syrup vibe. Perhaps this is where it is reminiscent of those red candy cherry flavored licorice ropes. The calorie-laden syrup can get a little overwhelming, but Noora is a good solid fix for me when I need an occasional warm rosey honey rush as the complexity provides a good balance. And just a drop of the oil will do as this perfume has some incredible sillage and longevity.

notes according to the seller I buy my oils from: Top: orange, tangerine, ylang ylang, plum, and honey Heart: ginger, lily, iris, tuberose, rose, jasmine, hyacinth, and saffron Base: sandalwood, agarwood, musk, vanilla, chocolate and civet Noora is multifaceted, as you see from the notes, - there are some naughty things going on behind the sweet facade, makes me think of someone's mischievous younger sister. It is not extremely sweet or heavy, you can always feel some breezy notes between honeyed gingered fruits and chocolate. For those civet-cautious - do not worry, it present, but tiny little bit, just to give earthy touch to this orange-fruity concoction. Saffron note is not as strong as with some oud-rose-mainly compositions, it appears now and then, but mostly you will smell honeyed white florals, fruits and nutty-chocolate really. Strong "like" from me.

The first time I tried this, I really enjoyed it. It is a honey-heavy scent that gradually fades on the skin into an amber-sweet rose dripping with golden dew. I was impressed. Then I tried it consecutive times, and I was put off by a chemical syrupy aroma, and I also recognized a very strong, synthetic burning toaster accord. The red jewel on the cap popped off as well. I can see how Noora could be wonderful for those who like sweet fragrances and don't care about bottle design (or who get a bottle that was glued together better), but the synthetic backdrop of the oil, and lack of quality of the bottle eventually turned me off from Noora.

Noora is a sweet little thing. She starts off wearably sweet and inviting, like a cozy bubble-bath full of adult bubbles. There is a shampoo vibe, but this is luxury shampoo. Later the white florals perk-up and go slightly heady but the vanilla amps-up to restrain them. The honey languishes throughout and comes across as a sweet amber. It’s very western and no way a scary Arabian so this would be a good blind-buy for your mum. I must investigate this further as it’s very, very interesting and forever evolving. Is it too vanilla sweet for me? It probably is.

Magnificent! I have a 50 ml spray and now I bought 20 CPO oil - the oil is amazing! It has a great projection and silage that I was looking for. Now it has become my daily signature fragrance, a wonderful diamond from the Swiss Arabian. A beautiful, fragrance with the wind, you can feel vanilla, honey and saffron, for every season of the year. scent 10! 5 stars for Swiss Arabian.

This is lovely and unique! I bought it on a whim because of the low price and I’m really pleased. It’s warm honey and oranges balanced with saffron, definitely sweet but not overdone. Musky, clean, and a little soapy as it dries down. For me I think this will make a great casual fall-winter scent when I want to smell warm, cozy and inviting.

Cherries, honey, slight sweetness, a creamy pepperish aroma from the saffron, almonds... it's feminine, soft, sort of a juicy fruity scent as well... It's a really lovely, perfect for the spring and summer seasons. Very youthful and pretty, a great buy for the price. 7.5/10

This is a sweet nectar CPO, I'd say honey-orange-rose-saffron in that order. Good feminine fragrance but not excellent, overall 4/5

wonderful multilayered perfume. at first it hits you with iodine smell. but then it evaporates and it blooms on your skin.

Inexpensive, sweet, sickly but nice. Lasts and ofcourse is great for building a layer

Reviewers were raving about the cherry almond notes of Noora. If you are looking for a classic Jergen’s Original Cherry Almond scent, this is NOT it. And this is not a gourmand cherry almond either. I will agree with another reviewer that Noora is in the same soapy aldehyde family as Red Door but much nicer and less chemical. I believe this to be a winter scent. It is too serious for me. If it were a bar soap, I would like it. It has a mysterious quality to it without being incense. It is definitely feminine. I don’t hate it, it is simply for someone else. I enjoy scents like Clinique Happy, which on the opposite spectrum of this.

I am surprised that not all notes are listed here. I bought a sample from a website, where are the notes listed as: orange, mandarine, ylang-ylang, plum, honey, ginger, iris, rose, tuberose, jasmine, hyacinth, saffron, amber, sandalwood, aquilaria wood, musk, vanilla, patchouli, chocolate. Women seemed to love it, according to the reviews. Well, I dislike it. To me, it smells like I was sitting in the dentist chair, eating a chocolate. I know it sounds absurd, but this fragrance smells absurd to me. There is a prominent chocolate note, but the menthol - bitter - sweet desinfection smell is shouting loud ❗It is very unpleasant! If those notes weren't there, it would be a nice, pleasant chocolaty smell. Well, I was hoping to find some elegant chocolaty fragrance, but this is not it 🤷♀️

I recently smelled both this and the Al Haramain Noora at the Dubai airport and initially was leaning toward buying this one. This is a sweet bright scent--which after a short while dried to a very animalic note on my skin. I'm actually shocked that no animalic note is listed here. I'm not sure how to describe the conflicting feelings this produced in me. That dirty deep body smell gives this surprising dimension and complexity beneath the syrupy sweetness. Alas, I would be too paranoid that I'd be offending those around me wearing this.I went for the Al Haramain Noora instead, which to me is a somewhat cooler, "bluer" version of this.

This is a honeyed floral with Middle Eastern vibes. The honey has citrus nuances, the saffron renders a medicinal aspect and the unlisted oud/smokey woodsy accord makes it easily recognizable as an Arabic perfume, though it is not a beastly oud as many others. The sillage and longevity are excellent especially for the price. I personally don’t like it as I’m getting more and more less tolerant to oud. It slightly tightens my chest as I’m mildly asthmatic. However it might be a good starter oud for women exploring it.

Medium bodied, sweet orange/cherry/saffron smell that seems a bit off to me. It reminds me of reed diffuser fragrance. Noora has strong projection and a slightly bitter undertone that I think is reading as soapy or chlorinated to some. I get it too. This one isn’t to my taste.

I wanted to love this one! I know it has many fans, and it's certainly attractively priced. On me, however, it turns into a too-sweet shampoo scent. I'm very sensitive to sweetness however, and others may not find it at all too sweet.

Not sweet, musky, sharp...Not a sweet feminine smell....I gave it to my husband and I do like it on him. Reminds me a bit of Samsara with darker, muskier more powdery overtones. Maybe more for an older woman.

Blind bought this. Smells like wet wipes initially, dries down to something slightly more pleasant... but feels grandma-ish per the other reviews. It can work if subtly applied, but I'm still super disappointed. If you want higher quality fragrances for a similar price range, check out stuff by Al-Haramain.

Noora Concentrated Perfume Oil- Many CPO's start out smelling very, very similar, & only begin to differentiate their notes after 1+ hours of the initial blast of oud & top notes. While I found Noora not quite to my liking, others may enjoy it. Make no mistake, this is a succulent, fruit-centric oudh CPO :) After an hour, I was able to differentiate an undefined- (perhaps lip-smacking juicy peach / mandarin / mango / pineapple / tangerine / etc?) fruity / perhaps floral? / synthetic oudh. (Oudh isn't listed, but sample a few dozen similar CPO's, you can be sure that a bit of synth. oudh is utilized as a fixative / giving body & fullness to the overall composition of Noora.) Fruits & Oudh clearly rule. Disclaimer: It is entirely possible that I'm mistaking the Sandalwood (listed), for synthetic oudh (non-listed) ??? Either way, it's a strong woodsy frag. I love sweet, sultry Sandalwood, & I don't think I'm mistaking it for the heavy-handed synthetic Oud, though. Scent lasts 12-18 hours+. The strong presence of oudh (Sandalwood?), renders Noora truly Unisex. I'm unable to differentiate the listed top notes, middle florals, & vanillic / musk base notes- Beware, notes combine into an overly sweet fruity confection, imho. I think it's quite popular among the American Market iso Mid-Eastern perfumery. Far too sweet & fruity for me (in case you didn't notice that yet, lol!) Do try it, though, if you enjoy fruity / woodsy frag's :) It is pleasant :) As an alternative, I greatly prefer, & recommend "Shadha" Concentrated Perfume Oil, by Swiss Arabian. It's a cleaner, non-sweetened, beautifully blended floral / woodsy / smoky / green / earthy frag. No succulent fruits to be found - Just a more elegant, mature perfume, where florals gently summon others closer to you, & the juxtaposition of the smoky, earthy woods (atop the feminine florals), seduce :) Shadha CPO: Stunning!

3/18/2020: Just got this today. Short story: It is “sophisticated casual.” Not exactly business casual. It is “clean artsy casual.” I read that this was similar to another perfume that smelled like Jergen’s original Cherry Almond lotion. I have had Noora oil on for about 2 hours now. It is nothing like Jergen’s Cherry Almond lotion! But I do like this perfume. I applied very lightly. It reminds me of if I would have taken a shower with an intense version of the original Pantene shampoo, very strong Dial gold soap and a hint of spice. This doesn’t smell like honey, but it smells like the color honey. If I close my eyes and smell it, my mind creates an image of the color gold. This isn’t immature but it isn’t “old lady.” To me, many of the attars I have tried from different companies remind me of either sneeze inducing strong dryer sheets, a Yankee candle, or Youth Dew (which can be nice but not on me.) Unlike the other perfume oils I have tried, I find this will be wearable! And even though I say it smells like Pantene and Dial gold, there is something unique about it that I like. It is old school “lotion” like. It is “retro clean.” I am getting no vanilla. I was going for the amaretto cherry almond vibe, which this is not. I feel like it is 1993, I don’t know that Bath and Body works exists and I found some sort of oil my mom had tucked away that smells good to me! I could do this in t shirt and jeans or dressed up. If you like a clean scent but are not into the modern clean scents, this is bright but not headache inducing. It is clean but also has a little warmth.

such an incredibly sweet and comforting scent......doesnt suit a lot of my outfits but you cant go wrong at that price, with that cute bottle! was showing my boyfriend and he said it was familiar, like a candy he knew from India. i was distracted that day and neglected to inquire further but the next day it came back to me and i was overcome with curiosity, taking it straight to work with me to get him to smell it again and re-recall what kind of candy it was.....but whatever he'd be thinking was already lost to time, he said it actually smelled more like the temple he used to go to. i showed another coworker and she said the same! at the end of the night showed yet another coworker and he simply said he liked it and wanted me to put some on his wrist....he has good taste in cologne so i was quite flattered ^_^ ~ i would like noora onyx too but i wish it had a fruitier scent profile.....tart black cherries and plum wouldve been lovely......

This is a super sweet oriental, lighter than what I'm used to with Arabian oils but still has a lot of depth to it.. it really does bloom on the skin, especially in hot climates. Sniffing from the bottle and when first applied I do get a bathroom air freshener vibe from the muskiness of the florals but in time the honey and sandalwood develop and turn this into something complex and lovely. Truly one of my favorite Arabian oils, it's a bit less mature-smelling ("old lady-ish") than what seems to be the norm in Eastern perfumery. I like a deep, heavy scent but that doesn't mean everyone else likes that, so there's a little less guilt regarding sillage with this one. It seems to project well as I can smell it radiating intensely off of myself while going about my day. This actually could be a dupe for Red Door. They are very similar!

Yesterday I tried Noora Swiss Arabian for the first time. Throughout the course of 4 hours, I took notes of my experience. The first hour of wear: It smells like a soapy rose with another note I cannot pin point, maybe woodish? The second hour of wear: The soapy smell began to fade leaving the rose and wood which created a really nice spicy sweet smell. The third hour of wear: At this time I realized Noora was much lighter than I anticipated. The smell remained the same but the longevity was poor. The fourth hour of wear: Noora became sweeter, the floral notes started to blossom. Final thoughts Though it says unisex it is definitely more feminine than masculine. I will wear this again. I rate 8/10

This has been my biggest surprise for the year. I liked it several months ago in a shop but thought it would be way too floral and fruity. At the time I thought this would be nice on a woman. Fast forward a few months and I saw the reviews on this site. Because of the reviews and the cost of $14, I decided to give it a shot. The top note is floral and fruity, maybe a little soapy. It made me impatient until the dry down. After it settled down a bit I received several compliments, including compliments of importance. Nothing like any of the others that I own but holds it's ground very well and is very pleasant.

I bought this as it had been likened to pen haligans vaara, which i smelled at a friends house and thought it was lovely. I can see the similarities. This to me smells sweet and oddly I can smell carrot in there..... Its not a perfume I like to wear on my skin as a scent. I use this in the bath. It leaves a lovely sweet smell in my bathroom. NOTE: I find this is no way similar to Al Haramains Noora, Al Haramains Noora smells more smokey and incense filled. I do not smell any incense in this.

I blind bought this after a few months bc of the good reviews, so i didnt know what to expect. In the packaging it smells so strong and like medicine. On my skin it also smells like strong medicine syrupy something. Then it dries down to a very strong grandma scent. I can still smell something oudh ish. Overall i didnt like this, expected so much more from it.

This is a mixed one for me. There are really nice scents in here of honey saffron woods and florals. But. I am also getting a slightly chlorine scent, especially on drydown, the kind you get after having been in the swimming pool. Not really pleasant...might just be my sample though someone else did mention chlorine a bit further below. So I guess not!

I have not try this one. I was tempted to order it and came here to see the reviews. But one review discouraged me to buy it since the person has compared it to Angel from TM. Since I absolutely hate this perfume, there is very slight chances I like Noora if it as just a little bit of Angel in it to compare :(

Was soapy till I sniffed my wrist in UAE where weather was hot. When came back to cold Europe tried it again. Wow! First came saffron, orange and lily then honey and vanilla. After hours everything mixed into delicate oriental fragrance. Agree that it more feminine.

Another one for the soap making. Very nice, but still getting that touch of chlorine - might be ok in a soapy setting. I believe that "chlorine" is an attempt at saffron, which can be quite bitter and medicinal.

Yes, definitely sweet floral scent, but in a pleasant way. I'm a man and I don't know yet if I'd wear it or not. I will, some day, and I will see if people like it on me or not.

A slightly sweet, gourmandish opening with a rather fresh, clean, chlorine/musk drydown. I don't get much in the way of complexity from Noora. Maybe I'll have to try again.

This Noora by Swiss Arabia is a completely different scent from that by Al Haramain. Al Haramain is darker with patchouli. Both of these Noora last incredibly long.

Fruity sweet and playful. Lasts for ages and for weeks on clothes (mine that is!) Great for the modern perfume nose - no oud is detected in this.

Nothing to do with jasmine exclusif by mancera but to me opening smells very jasmine

I swear to all the heavens, there's a note of civet that I LOVE!
