OPULENCE OF DUBAI

Oh yes, oh yes! Opening with ginger and bergamot and the last one stays there for a while. The rose and kardemom is the first thing that come trough and then the pink pepper. I am not really getting the chocolate. I am not a big fan of incense, and lucky me that it is barely there or very complementary to the rest of the notes. It normally induces a headache with me. The base is mainly amber en cedar for me with a hint of vetiver and coffee. It's a scent that haven't smelled before. I do get the La Nuit de L'Homme, but it's only similar for maybe 10/15%. Basically it is doing it's own thing...

Opulence of dubai by Swiss Arabian is a fragrance that user enjoys it. Throughout the frag journey from the initial spray from top note to base note not even single minute user would take his nose from enjoying the scent. Would recommend for evening wear, night out, or any function. Nice fragrance. Love it

Fizzy and sparkling citrusy Nigerian ginger with sweetish rose and woods. Longevity is great up to 10 hours and projects around 6 feet and more sometimes, airy and sparkly but not suffocating.

Its a slightly green, woody incense fragrance with an addictive amber to it. Likely inspired by YSL Caftan.

Well blended, nothing to dislike here. Amazing dry down!

The dry down is heavenly with good longevity.

This perfume is polarizing. After letting the juice rest for a few months, the initial blast is a sharp, but muted, earthy green aroma, like opening a spice jar of dried sage, basil or curry- that is just beyond it's expiration date. This is followed by some very dry woods and incense. I get no sweet spices in this. When this phase drys down, a musky, powdery freshness layers with the earthiness. I still smell the opening notes, but my coworker, who is in her late 60's, said she can only smell the powdery notes. She says I smell like talc, which I imagine means I smell like my late, great-grandma. Ultimately, it ends up being a thick, musky, incensey powder bomb. I personally like it, but it isn't a safe blind buy in my opinion.

After giving it a few tries, I’ve come to really appreciate it. It’s not overly loud, but it feels so nice and pleasant against your skin. People at work have mentioned how great I smell when they get close. I’d suggest it for a close or intimate encounter, or even for work since it’s not disruptive to others. The only thing is that it leans a bit feminine, so I won’t be projecting heavily, but it’s still fantastic. Do I like it? Yes Would I wear it? Yes Does it last? Yes, 6-8 hour Did it blow me away? Not at first, but after yes Safe blind? No Worth the price? To me yes Is it unique? Yes Overall rating: 8/10

Update: it's so addictive. I've been wearing it for the last few days non-stop. I keep catching whiffs of it and it's so beautiful. Smells slightly sweet, slightly powdery, slightly woody and slightly spicy. It's a meh. Nothing really stands out. It's an expensive face cream smell. I would wear it around the house when I want to smell nice and don't want to wear my niche perfumes, because I'm cleaning etc. I think it's too expensive for what it is. I already have way cheaper perfumes that fit this role, hence I don't recommend this fragrance.

Opulence of Dubai is a warm spicy, woody, aromatic fragrance that radiates luxury. It layers bright spice, dark gourmand notes and smoky woods into a rich, luxurious Middle Eastern profile. It comes across as spicy, resinous, chocolate‐tinged, smoky, and woody, with a warm amber glow underneath. It’s intense, and built with a lot of contrast: sparkling citrus and ginger at the top, deep chocolate and rose in the heart, and a smoky, woody, coffee‐vanilla base. It’s not an oud fragrance, but the incense + cypriol + cedar combination gives it a dark, Middle‐Eastern depth.

Ugh. The notes are all over the place and they don't match at all. It's like putting salt in tea by mistake, and then you triple the dose of sugar trying to make the salt go away

An awful perfume...it makes me sick when spraying it

A wonderfully spicy scent that is surprisingly easy to wear. I'm happy Swiss Arabian decided to exclude oud in this fragrance and instead decided to focus on a more interesting combination of incense, pepper, rose and chocolate. It's sweet, spicy and fresh all at the same time. The spiciness is prominent even from the opening but it's slightly freshened up by the ginger and pink pepper. There is almost a oily, sort of mentholated type note -- it must be the cypriol oil. It's very subdued but it's an interesting addition to cut through the denseness of the sweet, dark chocolate and vanilla. None of the spicy notes are overdone or choking -- they are well balanced. I'd say the quality of this scent is on par with a designer brands private line with their more 'niche' or 'exclusive' scents. It's elegant and warm but not strictly for nighttime or special occasions -- you could definitely use this as a signature scent.

Question for the group. I am so curious to try Opulence of Dubai but do not have access to it here in the USA. Though I think I may have found a scent that might? be similar. Is Opulence of Dubai the more expensive/mature/intense version of Vanilla Romance https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Bath-Body-Works/Vanilla-Romance-98137.html recently released by Bath & Body Works in the same year? Please advise. Just trying to understand how the two scents are similar or different.

Gorgeous scent but lacks blend quality. spicy ginger chocolate smell that dries down to a beautiful woody background. Very overbearing opening I personally don’t enjoy the spicy ginger burst that remains throughout its span but the woody dry down is its saving grace 7.5/10 cos the chocolate is well done, wouldn’t personally buy it after reviewing with decant over a week - especially with better options in this Cities collection.

First week impression is: beautiful opening, splendid, DHI + elemi and amped rose. After some minutes its an ugly designer cardamom+ambroxan fragrance. Will let it sit for a month and see what happens. Do not blind buy. Edit after 2 months: nah, this isnt it. I love swiss arabian but they went nuts with the blending of the iso-e here. Its unbearable and not in a good way. Its really poorly blended. A shame for 100€.

To me it’s a powdery cardamom, ambery and aromatic scent. It’s pretty hard to describe. I don’t get any chocolate unfortunately and there’s a note in there that is not very agreeable with me but blended well enough to not be bothersome. It’s a luxurious scent that gives off brunch at the country club. Test first if you can.

This perfume is like nothing I have smelt before. It is spicy and aromatic and a little bit floral. The ginger is very pronounced but done so beautifully. I don’t get much of the chocolate or vanilla. It is long lasting and truly opulent, as the name suggests. Gorgeous masterpiece IMO .

This is fruity ambry niche fragrance in the realm of Roja Dove and Fredrick Malle The dry down is fruity rose with slight bozyness and oud undertone It's best used for special occasions.

You get stopped by a salesman who wants to sell you a secondhand car....you immediately hesitate and think “this feels sketchy” This salesman wears this perfume.

This smells like marigolds tea. You know, medicinal, slightly bitter herbal tea that you drink when you have a cold. Not unpleasant but a very serious fragrance.

Wondering about those who resemble it with YSL Nuit L'Homme, it has nothing to do with it. It has same opening and DNA of Spice Bomb the Original one.

Deze geur kost 85 euro, wat naar mijn mening echt te veel is voor deze geur, 40 tot 50 euro is het niet waard!!!
