Rose Malaki

Let me start off by saying I love this one. It’s not my favorite out of the ones I’ve tried from my Swiss Arabian sampler so far, but I would say this is definitely in the top 3. The scent profile on the Swiss Arabian website is a little more in depth than this one if you want to look. When I first opened the oil up, I was invited in by a beautiful, strong but not overbearing whiff of raspberry, bergamot, and ginger, with a tiny bit of woodiness. Halfway through dry down, the raspberry got a little stronger and the patchouli came out and started to play, making a sweet and almost tangy scent. When it finally dried down, it became a mix of resin and bergamot and maybe the slightest bit of rose and geranium, with the latter being stronger. This one doesn’t really smell too much like rose to me, which I don’t mind too much because rose can be overbearing/overdone a lot. I almost wish there was a little more rose in it just because it would interact nicely with that raspberry and the woody notes. At dry down, it smells a little bit like when you’re walking through the perfume department of Macy’s or something. All in all, I really liked this one, and I would probably rate this a 7.5/10, I like the fruity, woody, leafy notes of it. It’s fit for adults: Serious enough with the woody notes for a sexy night out, but playfully sweet enough from the fruit to go on a casual dinner date or an evening stroll.

As an oil, I love that I can layer this with other rose fragrances, adding a fruity dimension. This has a considerable amount of wood and dried fruits that prop up the gorgeous rose, and the fruit notes I draw associations with dried apricots and peaches. I do not detect any ginger, although the opening pushes due to the citrus notes, and the base notes of wood are resinous and rich with balsamic sweetness. This was a blind buy, and my collection is better for it.

I loved this on its own. The first whiff was spicy and different. Florals and raspberries came out. I dabbed it on my arm and sprayed Giorgio Armani Si Fiori, Si Intense 2021 and Si Passione eclat on different areas of the body. Amazing! I can’t wait to try my other perfumes with it. If someone finds this scent cheap and sweaty than I guess I find cheap and sweaty delicious! It was lovely on its own, but gave my other perfumes a beautiful base to layer with.

Luxurious plush rose. Last all day but intimate sillage on me. On fabric it last for days. Unisex, can be worn in all weather ( a little dab here & that is all you need). Great for layering too.

For all rose perfume enthusiasts, I have found this perfume to be an excellent choice for both collecting and frequent use. It possesses a delightful aroma of rose and wood, creating a straightforward yet captivating scent. While I am not typically a collector of perfume bottles, this particular one has captured my attention and serves as a beautiful piece of decorative art.

The scent profile on this is great and very attractive - rose with oud and wood notes to add depth and richness to it. Unlike some other roses this one is not medicinal at all, it's a great rendition of rose

I really like this, I got a small decant. Not much to say except that both me and my girlfriend really only smell rose. But it is a very rich, long-lasting rose. Maybe smell some other notes after it cools down abit.

With the greatest respect, this is nowhere near the quality of the oils on offer from Abd al-Samad al-Qurasi and Arabian Oud. No Arab I know likes this stuff. It smells cheap and sweaty. Top quality oil does not smell like this at all. That being said, it is better than Mukhallat al-Malaki. 4/10

I received a sample of this from a kind swapper. I like it, but I wouldn't say it smells like rose. There's a nectarous kind of smell.. which manages to stay somewhat light and transparent and does not tip into cloying. I smell something like Petunia flowers and clover honey. It's quite pretty and somewhat fruity. My sample seems like perfume oil, and it only has a dabber, so based on this sillage is weak. Looks like the bottle is a dabber too. It's a surprisingly gentle and personal scent. Pretty!

I wish this came in a bigger vessel with more fluid, but it’s absolutely divine rosewood and raspberries, and it lasts a really long time. I got mine from Amazon and I absolutely love it!! TO ME It smells similar to liquid imaginaires “Dom Rosa” and Elizabeth and James “rose”. That kind of Gothic dried fruity rose.

This is a rose with some spicy facets (woody, basalmic, maybe some eucalyptus, cinnamon) that is also bright and fruity. These last aspects make the overall tone of the perfume more 'fun', which is how I'm ultimately going to categorize it among my samples. I enjoy this and think it's pretty.

This is a really bizarre scent. It has a very sweaty/stinky undertone to it that I find pretty repellant. Something about the way the oud, florals, and spices combine in this does not produce the desired result.
