Shaghaf Women

Tart APPLE & PRALINE Summer Gourmand. Opens with a fruity-citrus burst of lemon-lime, that transitions into an apple-praline heart rounded out by peony, all resting on a musky cedar base. When I first smelt this it read as a tart pineapple scent, but now I get an apple-praline scent. With average or slightly above average performance, this could be worn year-round, but ideally a spring-summer wearing experience. Reminders for me of Nina Nina Ricci & To Be Woman Police. Contrast to Nina Nina Ricci: Shaghaf Women is inspired by Nina NR, but they're not identical. SW is a little more tart, while Nina NR reads more clearly as an apple scent, with roughly equivalent performance. Contrast to To Be Woman Police: This is another scent inspired by Nina NR, but not identical. TBWP reads more clearly as an apple scent than SW, but all three get more and more similar as they drydown. Roughly equivalent performance. Overall: Slightly above average performance with a beautiful fresh, sweet & tart scent, this is a perfect scent for a summer gourmand. Enjoy! Update 06/02/24: Unfortunately this gets stronger over time to where the tart fruity notes are a little too piercing for me. I suggest testing an in-store bottle before buying. Good luck!

I don't understand why people don't like this. I love it! This was a very blind buy for me. I didn't even look up the notes. It was on clearance, so I just bought it. I have no regrets! Bright citrus opening. I know it's listed as peony but I smell a honeyed type of floral. It smells like the color pink to me. I spray it on my decolletage before bed and I can smell it when I wake up. It drys down to a slightly floral, slightly soapy skin scent after around 4 hours on the skin. It stays floral on my clothes for days. It's very feminine, classy, mature and smells expensive.

This is the perfect fruity and sweet summer scent! It opens fruity with sweet lemon, then I get the peony and a sweetness from the praline. The dry down is definitely musky but sweet and cozy. Many people complain about the performance and longevity of this fragrance, however I am happy it does not project too much since I can wear it on hot summer days. Regarding its longevity, it's actually one of the few perfumes I can still smell on myself after I wake up the next morning. Faintly, but still. I adore this fragrance, will repurchase for the summer forever for sure!

Such a beautiful scent! For me, one of the most beautiful and I have a lot of scents. 1/ I also consider it very underrated and 2/ I'm surprised that no one talks about the fact that it is very similar to Donna by Trussardi in the beginning. Which is also my very favorite, but I'm sorry about its longevity. Shaghaf lasts longer, the scent changes more, all its phases including the drydown are really beautiful. I've been wearing it for seven hours and I can still smell it nicely, so the longevity is good.

Crisp, light, slightly sweet and juicy fragrance. Lovely for summer work-from-home situations as it's not heavy or cloying. I do not choke myself or co-worker (husband with sensitive nose!) out even in 30+ degree C temperatures. I enjoy this one, and it's great value for money.

I don't understand what it is about this scent that is so polarizing, but from reading comments here it seems to be either love or hate. Well, I love. The blend of lime, apple, cedar and praline is magical to me. It's fresh, slightly soapy and fruity, bright, and happy.

Veeery mixed reviews on this one, but for me it’s a total LOVE! Quick limey blast in the beginning and then fresh, lingering apple and cedar which always makes me think of spiced apple cider. Amazingly fresh and at the same time cozy and comforting.

This is a very alluring fragrance. It has the vibe of Oud Bouquet; That is somewhat strange as the listed notes are not similar. It's very feminine and will certainly please all the Fragrantica female contributors.

Smells nothing like Shagaf Oud which is great for me,citrusy, crisp apples, fresh, floral and a bit sweet...Not typically a fan of citrusy fragrances but this is a must buy for me!! LOVE!!

I just love this fragrance very alluring and seductive was a blind buy but I am so happy with this wonderful perfume .

Pretty! Soft sweet summer citrus with a little fruit and floral

So I bought this with hesitation mainly because of the longevity / performance reviews that were quite negative. I had tried a tester of this and totally loved it so I ordered it before I read the reviews. Fast forward to testing it today and I can gladly say that I am not disappointed. It is a light scent, not beast mode by any means. On initial spray the citrus hits you (amalfi lemon and lime) which gives way to the peony and praline. The praline makes this sweet and decadent but not too sweet and gives that gourmand kick that makes it beautiful. It stays on for 4-6 hrs strongly then dies down but not completely, you still get whiffs of it as you move about amd in your scent bubble. Such a lovely uplifting scent for day to day that will not choke anyone out. A beauty. So glad I din't listen to the naysayers. Sometimes you don't need a scent to last 12 hours. Disclaimer; You will have to over spray to get it to stick. 1-2 sprays will not do the trick.

I really enjoyed this scent, it’s lovely. It reminds me of something but I can’t put my finger on it, I don’t have / haven’t had any of the ‘reminds me of’ currently on here, so I will have to keep trying to recall what scent memory I am getting from this one. However I totally agree the longevity is really disappointing, I think if it was a heavier scent I would have hit love. Had to overspray many times. Tested before bed lastnight and within 1hr the scent had almost disappeared, just very faint on skin, (stronger on clothes though). Woke up after sleeping and cannot smell on skin any longer and a very very faint scent left on clothes. I will try to find a way to layer this to get the best out of it. Adore the bottle and the notes in it!! So such a shame on the lack of performance.

Overall, myself and many others may not find Shaghaf to be a mind-blowingly great perfume but I think it has a ton of value as an easy reach that has some character and does not come off in any way as obnoxious. This is fantastic on my Wife as an office scent, but she'll also apply a couple sprays before bedtime as she gets a cozy feel from it. I may be in the minority, here, but I absolutely detect the praline - albeit, a very soft touch - and it's appreciated because it adds just a tiny bit of sweetness and warmth that eventually helps balance out the brighter citruses and florals. It can lean a little "perfumey" before that time, yes, but the volume is never turned up.

I found this at Marshall’s on a clearance shelf. At first, the citrus-praline-wood combo smelled odd and I didn’t really like it. So I left in a box under my bed and kind of forgot about it for about 6 months. Now it smells fantastic. No more weird notes clashing. Just fresh and citrusy with a light woody base. Light sillage, just a little stronger than a skin scent. Gives a casual but classy kind of vibe. Great for spring and summer when I wanna smell fresh and put together, but not bother people around me.

It’s pleasant on my skin during the spray and reminiscent of Prada Paradoxe on the dry down. I’m madly loving Shaghaf Oud, & I had hopes for this but I’m glad to have had a sample and know now don’t need to grab a bottle... onwards!

I meant to order Shaghaf Oud, but accidentally ordered this one. I'm glad I did! Such a smooth, citrusy, fruity scent. Perfect for spring or summer. Yes it's generic, but the price can't be beat. I can't stop smelling myself.

This is a light, softly sweet, and citrus perfume that smells "bubbly". It's very uplifting bright, and perfect for spring and summer. If you found Shaghaf Oud too heavy or if you reserve it for colder seasons, get this!
