Shawq

Just got my bottle right now. I read a lot about the pineapple smell in this one, and all I read reminded me to Black Xs L'Excès, which is a pinapple bomb too. And wow, once i have it, i can tell you that the opening is extremely similar to BXS L'E. It is much more similar to Black XS L'Excès than to Creed Aventus, by far. I'll see what happens with the smells evolution. I'm happy with the purchase, Black XS L'Excès is discontinued and this makes the game well. I would say Shwaq is between Black XS L'Excès and the woody/smokyness of Aventus. EDIT: Shawq and Black XS L'excès have very similar top notes. Not base ones. Shawq has a strong ambroxan smell at the base that makes it last much longer and better than Black XS L'Exces. The more i use it, the more i like Shawq: 9/10 for me.

Swiss Arabian Shawq is a fruity-citrusy pineapple 🍍 fragrance. Very nice scent. Shawq has that realistic pineapple smell that last throughout the life of the scent. It last fairly well and people can smell you when you walk by. I can't believe that it smells this good for that low of a price. I also have Rave Now and Qaud Al Fursan. I can say that Swiss Arabian Shawq smells better in my opinion. Shawq is perfect to wear alone or layering. CDNIM Pure oil or CDNIM Pure Parfum layered with Swiss Arabian Shawq. It is fire🔥!! I believe Shawq gets better with time so I will let it sit for a while and see if it improves. Another great buy!!👍

A dense juicy perfume that is sweet and fun to wear. Performance is also solid with 6-8 hours longevity with 2-3 hours projection for around 2-3 feet. The top notes are fruity with lots of ripe pineapple and black current. The base note is a nice powdery musk that is pleasant skin scent to have. Suitable for warmer weather and for all ages. Excellent value for money Overall 8.5/10

Its a sweet smokey Pineapple bomb... More sweet and less smoke... My Latin wife loves it and can't get enough in the summertime. I always get complements by women when I wear this... It lasts forever and you smell me a mile away... I know some frag heads want to bash it but come on guys... Its $20-40 a bottle and it does exactly what you want it to do... Summertime in a bottle!!!

How good is this one? I am thinking of getting a backup bottle :)) Somehow, I can smell some tobacco scent when it is on my skin. The projection is good, but the longevity is not very good. For an EDP under $20, I am okay with that! I prefer this scent over QAED AL FURSAN by Lattafa for sure.

Sweet, fruity, smoky. It's an amazing scent with great performance. This is my best blind buy, it's very safe. It has the Aventus vibe, trust me. It's not an Aventus clone but it does have some sort of DNA for sure. Got a compliment on the first day with this fragrance. Love it!

Shawq is a really nice sweet fruity perfume. Good longevity and silage. In fact, the dry down silage is the most pleasant part, bright, fresh, soapy and juicy. If you want a sweet fruity summer perfume - maybe give this a try

Very, very beautiful fragrance. Brighter than quaed al fursan, more fresh. It reminds me a lot the opening of cdnim EDP but this one remains bright throughout. Pretty good performance.

Very beautiful fragrance, an instant love draw guaranteed compliment. 6 8 hours longevity with a decent projection for 2 3 hours pineapple note stays till last. Great value for money.

Update to below: Shawq is definitely one of the nicest fruit based perfumes in my opinion. It has a really lovely silage when the dry down hits. Fruity and soapy

200% Black currants. Smells like the drydown of 2015 berry aventus batches without ambergris base. Awesome frag on its own amazing presentation

If you mix cdni and Shawq you will get a Aventus 100%, Shawq is great Fragrance for low price- 9/10...

NOT AN AVENTUS CLONE! Was it inspired by Aventus? Probably, but to me this doesn't smell like Aventus, not even the "fruity batches." It is a pineapple and black currant bomb with some ambroxan and birch (not much) at the base. That's not to say it's bad. I think it's probably of higher quality than most Aventus clones, honestly. It projects very well and lasts a long time on skin - I'm not making a comparison here, but if you're missing the discontinued Montblanc Legend Intense, you would probably appreciate this fragrance. There's a major fruit salad vibe going on that lasts throughout the fragrance's lifetime; what you smell is what you get! If you're looking for a straight-up Aventus clone, however, don't buy this blind. Go for one of the other better-known substitutes.

This is great pineapple bomb, very sweet but not cloying. Has some citrus/black-currant backbone and very faint shower-gel vibe so it is fresh as well, especially in the opening. No resemblance to Aventus but more like aventus inspired since there is no smoky or earthiness atleast in the opening, comes closer to the DNA in the dry-down. Performance is okayish, lasts for about 5-6 hours on my skin and 8+ hours on shirt, with decent projection for the first hour or so; nothing great and definitely not beast mode. Presentation is just basic, cheap plastic cap but bottle is fairly solid and ergonomic. All in all its a nice scent, doesn't smell too cheap and is a good buy for summer rotation with average performance.

This is an amazing pineapple scent and most specifically like pineapple juice. It is very sweet and can give you that alcoholic smell once in the beginning sometimes but most of the time you are all good. In short if you like sweet or just the way pineapple smells? then look no further. It is a solid performer as well with great longevity and decent projection, it is a cheapie so you can reapply and keep on going. My batch is 05/21 and it is a solid scent. As for the comparison with Aventus? I don't really see it, just because it has pineapple it doesn't mean that it would be an Aventus clone. This is purely based on pineapple nothing else. Highly recommended if you don't mind sweet fruity scents.

Got a new formulation bottle. Smells like pineapple and woods (birch probably) Up close you may not like, in the air, it is quite good. Bought it for just 11 $ which is super good price. Totally different from Armaf CDNIM which is supposedly the best Aventus clone. Performance is Good and i have seen that many perfumes get better after some use and some time. Overall a good addition as I didn't have a pineapple fragrance. Overall 8/ 10 Recommended for test.

I got this for 14$ on notino. At that price you don't expect much from a fragrance, but this is very good. It smells a little chemically-dusty on first spray, but then it becomes woody-juicy with a considerable dose of sharpness. As for performance, BE CAREFUL HOW MUCH YOU APPLY! This one can easily be over-sprayed. It projects very well and lasts till the next day on my skin. Great fragrance, especially for outdoors.

@brandon.yambura I have the new bottle, I bought a couple of weeks ago and I didnt know the earlier bottle or batch. My bottle is rounded, the juice is like fresh pineapple, very fruity and lacks the Aventus's twist I think, the smell is good but I wanted to buy an Aventus clone. It doesn't project at all, at least on my skin, the longevity is also terrible, I'm disappointed with the purchase after the reviews.

Got mine today, blindbuy. Only 19€. A little bit smokey, very sweet and fruity. It has that Aventus vibe, no question about it. I think this is thick and powerful enough to wear in the fall and winter. I have a feeling that the sweetness is going to be cloying in high heat. So far it’s spring over here and still kinda chilly so i’m going to try it out.

Sampled it on my run in at the Swiss Arabia store. First of all not an Aventus clone, although there is a fleeting resemblance in the notes. This is an out and out pineapple heavy fragrance, it morphs into pineapple candy after two hours and stays that way. Overtly sweet for my taste! Performance is quite good as is with most of SA fragrances.

I'd say it's a fresh sophisticated summer fragrance that you'd wear at the office or maybe a nightclub. Weak to moderate sillage. I don't really get the whole pineapple bomb thing more like a aromatic fusion of begamot, blackcurrant, birch and ambroxan. Bit of a fresh leathery aromatic scent that's slightly fruity. It's a good buy.

Blind bought this months ago and rocked it heavy but forgot to leave a review. It’s a really really nice sweet yet smoky pineapple scent. Very bright and uplifting to me, definitely taking this with me on vacation. For the price and value it’s a must have for me. Plus it projects and lasts fairly long (6-7+hrs).

First Impression: Opening: Juicy pineapple, something that you can eat. Very nice. Dry down: Smoky pineapple, in the style of aventus but arguably more playful and modern smelling. This is more party oriented and youthful. More sexy and smoky than CDNIM.

Pineapple dominant scent. Sweet, fruity, and fresh in the opening. Dries down to a musky/smoky scent. Price to performance is good. I get a good 4-5 hours on it. Already finished my bottl. I prefer this one over Qaed al Fursan and Rave Now.

I brought this yesterday and its performance is terrible. Its merely a skin scent and vanishes after 2/3 hours. I brought this after reading good reviews here but they have reformulated the new batches I guess.

Smells to me like.... Thierry Mugler Ultrazest. I sold my Ultrazest long ago so I cannot do a comparison, but my scent memory is quite good. Someone please try doing a side by side comparison and let us know.

To my nose this is a mix of 2 perfumes : Black XS from Paco Rabanne and an aventus style fragrance. Opens up bright citrusy, dries down to a birch, citrusy, ambroxan and fruity scent. Not bad for the price.

If you want to smell like freshly cut pineapple - Get yourself a bottle of Shawq. It's refreshing but also a little childish and feminine. Scent: 8.0/10 Longevity: 6.5/10 Sillage: 7.0/10 Price: 9.0/10 (25$)

Smells almost similar to Paco rabbane black X's but that one is more smoother and rounded off and this one is sharp and bit synthetic

Wow, @ointmeal's description is spot on. From my personal experience I should add that pineapple was only perceptible at the top top, bergamot probably lasts longer on my skin and something gives me a pleasant soapy vibe... Aventus without smoke, less pineapple centered than the others that do something similar - at least on my thick skin. About longevity and performance, need to wait to see how it develops over time. Hope the "maturation" process helps out. My experience with Swiss Arabian fragrances previous to 2022 is that they kinda suck unfortunately.

It's a long lasting pinechouli bomb, no question about that (lasted around 9-10 hours on my skin, big sillage for over 6 hours). That said, it didn't ring Aventus on me compared to the other so called clones. It sits closer to some 80's classic fragrances like Gilda. It now comes in the same bottle as Kenzy, I do hope SA is just cutting corners on their bottles and not their juice though.

Very sweet for me. Not a mature fragrance. Would be better for teenagers. Tried layering with Cdnim but didnt work for me.

A synthetic sweet pineapple juice that projects for the first two hours. This is nothing like Aventus. It is cheap but too synthetic. For just a few dollars more, there are better fragrances.

many are saying that this fragrance got reformulated and now its super weak and barely projects, let me tell u something: you gotta watch out of all the countrefeit and fakes out there of this fragrance, buy from a trusted source only! i have the second version (new bottle) and its pretty much the same scent and lasts me hours and hours, and projects very well! i leave a scent trail behind me henever i spray this, ppl/friends notice it on me (even with their face masks on) i dont get the Aventus vibe when i smell it close to my skin but in the air it kinda have that aventus vibe but not much, this is way more pine-apply if i can say that, it reminds me of a fragrance from Mancera (forgot its name, might be wild fruits?) and as Parias in the review down below Shawq is synthetic and sweet, but its a good one though! Its synthetic smelling in the first 15-30mins but then the real magic happens and it gets smoother and smoother little by little, kinda remind me of Armaf frags... theres a lot more to say about it and i will do so in a video next week and upload it on the youtube channel: Oh the Parfum , if u want a full review of the current version of Shawq by Swiss Arabian

This smells very fruity and sweet. It might feel a bit feminine sweet to someone. I get only sugary pineapple and blackcurrant. May be a little bit of birch but it might be just the blackcurrant. It don't find it smokey at all. It is just fruits with soft sweetness from the ambroxan, but it is not sickening sweet. I think its suitable for summer and spring, but i wouldn't use it in high heat weather it might become cloying. It is very linear smell with no development at all, what you get at first spray stays the same all the time. The longevity is very good but i don't think it projects a lot - have to test it more. I do not think its a clone of Aventus, if you want Aventus clone look elsewhere - Afnan Supremacy Silver is a good choice. If you want casual fruity smell this is a good one. The quality is very good, it doesn't smell cheap.

I just tried this at a shop from a good local retailer. It starts off pineapple-y, the kind of canned pineapple, not the the real thing. It quickly transitions to a woody, ambroxan-y, birchy, and sweet dry-down that is undoubtedly Aventus DNA-inspired, but it doesn't have that smoke or intrusive oakmoss some of the others in this space are common for. The birchy, fruity sweetness that is the dry-down is very enjoyable. There's something edgy about it. Blackcurrant is also detectable (which I love!). I personally don't like the smoky or oakmoss overload style of the Aventus DNA at all. HOWEVER, the batch I tried has very, very weak performance. 2-3 sprays on my arm and after 2 hours it's a barely detectable skin scent.

This is a weird one. I thoroughly enjoy this scent. It is so incredibly juicy, the fruits popping madly, the sillage excellent, the longevity can be epic on my skin. I like it. But I would never consider it my signature, as I prefer less fruity stuff. Yet, when I put it on, this gets me more compliments than anything I own. Men and women get closer and huff me like I'm a freshly-picked rose. I understand the general love for pineapple and fruity scents but this phenomenon is ridiculous. If you are one of those people that needs that kind of attention, this is the scent for you. If not, you may enjoy it for the simple, sweet concoction my nose tells me it is.

I bought this here in Kenya 🇰🇪 after watching a review by Jay Amin and absolutely love this, I have 12 odd fragrances but this I love more than the rest, the quality is absolutely surprising,I own Designer brands but always shied away from the middle Eastern gems.. I wear this often but got so anxious that it might get reformulated that I went back and bought a second bottle 😅😅.

Pineapple dominant fragrance. Bergamot and ambroxan, very sweet and natural for the price. Surprisingly a hidden gem if you like the sweet juicy natural pineapple that Aventus used to in the opening back in the days. Really good performance 8 hours or more on skin, my girl wear it today and she love on herself. I pretty sure this one may be high on price soon.

Blind buy this because of few reviews on YouTube and the price ($22 USD), very pineappl-ish similar to armaf Italiano Nero but a bit more candy like smell in a good way, very good for the summer, don't buy it if you are expecting adventus you will be disappointed but if you love pineapple this one will be a good addition to your collection.

Just got this, when i saw the main two comparissons of black xs and aventus i was like hmm, thats odd because those two smell nothing alike. I wanted an alternative to black xs, but being honest this is like black xs and aventus had a baby. The pinapple is prominent. For£18 you cant complain.

This smells very cheap, chemical and soapy. Uncomparable - in my mind - to Ultramale and Black XS lexces. Sure you get the vibe of those frags but so what? It is in no way a ”replica”. Bad quality when smelled up close. The frags I smelled from AS so far is cheap smelling and not impressive.

Just got my bottle today. I'm very excited. This is just what i have expected. A gorgeous pineapple scent. So relaxing...beautiful. Nothing to do with Aventus btw. so don't expect it to be a clone or something cause it's completely different. Big thumbs up for this fragrance !!!

Tart citrus and woods - smells more expensive than it is. In the same family as aventus, but not a clone. I find it to be a good one to keep in my car since it’s really cheap. The bottle is trash, but for the price, I’m very happy with the scent. 6/10

It open up with a pinnaple burst but the drydown is more smoky. Longevity is moderate , worst than I expected. Maybe it's my skin' PH. Anyway for this prise os ok.
