Shumoukh Al Ghutra

This is a great and complex fragrance for the ones who loves oud, smoke, incense, mixed with interesting apple and vanilla, in the limits of niche aromas. Not an easy perfume to appreciate for the ones who only like designer or easy please-all perfumes. I think of it as a personal pleasure, focused in more experienced noses, who appreciate a complex and dynamic fragrance, with a long lasting life. I don't see it as a compliment getter ("wow, you smell wonderful, what do you have?" kind of compliments), but something to put you apart from the rest of the crowd, and maybe get comments like "what perfume do you have? smells really interesting". Totally male for my taste, because is not an easy going opening, and because of the leather, smoke (even though is not listed here) and the combination of apple / vanilla. The first 2-3 hours you are projecting continuously at probably 3 to 5 feet, BUT the last part (vanilla, some smoke, and woods) last for days on clothes (6-8 sprays). If you want something really interesting, well constructed, more like a self taste, and have experience with oriental fragrances, I recommend it. No one would feel uncomfortable with it, and I will use it in informal reunions with friends, on informal days at the office, or for some occasions where I want to distinguish myself from the crowd, without being formal.

Smells spectacular opens with voilet fruity spicy apple woodiness then transitions to a very addictive powdery vanillia leather dry down this lasts for days you can spray it on skin then forget and the next day you'll wonder what smells so good this is amazing best leather fragrance and overall one of the best fragrances could be worn anytime especially for the night out 10000/10

For me, I consider this a masterpiece from this house. a million dollar scent. its supreme and loud centered leather scent. Somewhat it is Musky-Fresh-Smokey-Sweet-Leather composition. I don't know why some of guys voted similiar to axe dark temptation. to my nose, honestly they don't.

Maybe all perfumes are both good and bad. I can smell like burnt tire on this one after a while. It does have tire marks in the design. I would even say that a perfume smells different depending on where on the body it is sprayed. Pair it with Encre Noire.

Must have hidden gem! If you want to wear something with solid performance and niche and middle eastern. I don’t want to promote it here much to prevent them from changing the formulation :) Definitely one of the specials in my collection.

Been a while and came back to it since it has a leather scent I didn't remember. Maybe it has macerated and there is no burnt tire smell anymore, or I have more experience, but it smells fantastic now. One of the best in my collection.

Note to all PLEASE LET THIS MASCERATE!! This smell is on another level when it matures. I should have bought a few more bottles. One of the best most complex scent that screams perfection.

Makes me think of a fine Mens lounge , you know the ones, Fine leather furniture and smooth tobacco. I really enjoy this fragrance! Nice and smooth. Last forever with great sillage.

I used to have this perfume. It is one of the best powdery leather scent out there, very affordable as well as a very strong performer. 13-Sept-2023

Exotic, classy, has great depth, longevity and projection. Very versatile. This is a unique scent done to perfection.

Leather, sweet apple, and violets. A lot less vanilla than what is listed in my opinion.

Smells just like DedCool “Blonde” but with added sweetness. Beautiful.

I like this, it was bought for me as a blind-buy gift, knowing i like beast-mode fragrances. I will admit it is very very strong, and its very vanillic-sweet from the start, but the opening is quite.. polarising? The apple note kinda blew my head off because it reminds me of the same exact apple note found in PR Pure XS. A lot of this fragrance reminds me of that, but its its own fragrance. I wish the leather was more prominent because its kind of in the background, letting all of the vanillic powdery and kinda fruity sweetness stay at the front. Ill let it macerate and hope the leather comes out more. It really isnt a bad fragrance, but the strong Pure-XS apple opening for me kinda kills the vibe for me because its a bit nauseating. Its a really good fragrance and its very strong, it says EDP but its so oily and potent its borderline extrait for me. Performance will go above 10-12h, projection is there too, so in terms of lasting power this wont disappoint. Its a slightly leather apple-vanilla scent for me right now, that reminds me of Pure-XS so if that sounds good to you, sure, go for it. Ill give it time to ‘master-bait’ and hope that leather comes out.

I agree with the review by gentel. The leather is very strong and overpowers everything else. The only other note I can make out well enough is the apple, and that's only if I actually look for it. The sweetness and vanilla does come out but more later on. Overall not a bad scent, but not what you'd expect if you were going by the notes listed.

This is a great fragrance unique and complex The spicy apple tone is very nice and the leather and vanilla are not overpowering on the dry down. Not too sweet. Performance is very solid with good projection and eternal longevity. It lasts me all day at work Can be worn all year around but may not be best in very hot weather. office safe

This is just amazing! Easely the most intresting leather frag so far for me, and i own a few! Lasts for eternity and smells just soooooo goooood!! Love it!!

Nose Note #945 I see why people voted for Memo. I haven't tried Italian Leather, but it is reminding me of Irish Leather quite a lot. I guess Memo Paris must have a similar leather accord throughout some of their fragrances. Besides that I can't say it smells like anything else, it's a thing on its own. It is sort of unisex leaning masculine. Very strong, very good sillage. But it overall smells funny to me, like Imperial Valley DNA or Lattafa Blue Oud are funny to me, meaning strange and not connecting to my brain at all. Maybe it's because the leather/oud accords don't mix well with fresh notes in those particular perfumes. It's not the most niche fragrance by any means, but I just don't particularly enjoy it. Smells like leather + tea/apple (i.e. something that gives off an impression of freshness). Definately quite vanillic. 6.3/10, not bad, maybe even really good, I just don't like it

I thought the first 3 or so hours smelled like a strong clone of Layton Exclusif, which I love. Literally thought I found a clone, but smelling it again at the 11th-hour mark kinda turned me off. I'm not sure at what hour it begins to smell like something else (synthetic leather frag), but I get sick of it after so many hours of the late-stage dry down. This thing is a freaking beast though - at least 20hours of scent and sillage. A well composed sweet leather fragrance. Smells high quality with good projection even from spray sample vial. It came in a (very affordable) sample pack purchased from the Swiss Arabian website. They seem to have a few interesting fragrances, and I felt this was among the best.

It's such a complicated scent. Sometimes I love it. It's really smokey and pleasant on clothes not on skin. It gives the Memo Irish leather vibe but bit lighter.

The leather really overpowers the other notes - without the violet and apple playing a role to make this more wearable and more attractive it's just a dark leather scent. Not what I want in a fragrance The late drydown ~5hrs later is a lot more pleasant with the vanilla and musk but I definitely did not like the first 2-3 hours

Not my cup of tea, but if you like aromatic leather scents like Memo Irish, Iberian or Russian Leather, this could be a more affordable alternative. The longevity is way worse than Memo though.

Very pleasant offer from SA.it has apple,flowery top and suede like leather at heart. it has sweetness from vanilla&musk. i wish it was less sweet but that is my preference . Here is the leather note is main player but it is not animalistic or on your face type. it has very good performance. It reminded me Davidoffs Leather blend and Nabeel’s Antar but this is better made and smoother. Because it is not so harsh leather , it is wearable for daily use for most of the year and different occasions.

First of all this is very strong (as well as the other Al Ghutras). Smells great to me too. I sprayed it on paper in the mall and went home. Left the paper on the couch and believe me or not I could still detect it from around 2 meters away. One day after, the paper still smells so strong. This perfume is great quality and no joke. However my girlfriend is not super fascinated by the scent (but she does not know) so maybe test it first before buying.

To be honest do not be afraid of this one,100% safe to buy,i love this perfume,i have them almost 3 months ago but it was not on fragrantica but i am glad to see this juice here...Absolutely beautiful,it last and last and last i should say last forever if i don't washing my shirt,,,no word to describe it,so get it and beleive it... My mother absolutely hates it on me, she says that I smell like an ashtray, well she's not completely wrong, I loved wearing it in autumn, honestly I couldn't wear it alone, I used to layer it with Jasminisha by Moresque to make it more feminine and everyone would come and ask me what I'm wearing, when I wore it to university my friends knew I arrived from the sillage even before seeing me😂

Pleasant leather fragrance with a moderate sillage. If it were going for 35 bucks or so, I'd give it 5 stars. I was gifted this bottle, and like it. Easy to wear light leather fragrance softened up by the vanilla. If you're into this house, this is one of their better offerings.

I don't know what it is about this, but it is disgusting to me. I'm pretty sure it actually made me nauseous. In some way it's similar to TF Ombre Leather, but missing the deep richness that Ombre Leather has. I tried about 3 times and decided to sell it.

You feel rich and on top of this world after using this gem. Smells exactly like Memo Italian Leather.Amazing Silage and longevity with almost one Third of Memo price. It will surely become my signature scent.

Frankly didn't find much of a difference from Rasasi La Yuqawum, same scent profile. Performance is great but was looking for a somewhat different leather fragrance.

This reminds me of a sweeter, less dry version of Memo Paris Moroccan Leather. This is really good.
