Vanilla 01

This really is lovely. Its not one of the Vanilla Voyage Cream Velvet Eclaire sisters that I love but are very in your face bakery vanillas and super sweet, but it is an incredibly well done vanilla that is definitely creamy, powdery and soft with whiffs of caramel cappucino, and a lovely angelic floral backdrop which is not those harsh florals you can taste but very muted and well blended mix that makes the whole thing smell so expensive and one of a kind. I just finished my bottle of Vanilla Toffee which I enjoyed but it had alot of things going on at the same time so could be a bit intense, yet was giving the most high end cupcake vanilla scent of all the cupcake vanillas I have tried so I decided to get this one from the brand next and give it a go. This is probably the most expensive dreamy vanilla I have smelt. Its definitely not as cupcake gourmand as the Vanilla toffee was but it still has that side of vanilla not a woody vanilla, still a gourmand but more so dreamy flormand than photorealistic gourmand. And that vanilla that Swiss Arabian use is so exquisite none of the Vanilla Voyage etc hold a candle. Also the bottle is currently my favourite in my collection.

Swiss Arabian Vanilla 01 – First Impressions I don’t know why I waited so long to buy this one. When Vanilla 01 was first released, I actually ordered it directly from Swiss Arabian, but shipping took so long that I ended up canceling the order. Then the reviews started coming in, and so many people seemed disappointed that I convinced myself it probably wasn’t for me. Well... a year later I finally bought it, and I’m completely in love at first sniff. I can understand why some people expected more vanilla and walked away disappointed. The vanilla isn’t the loudest note here—but to me, that’s exactly what makes it special. It’s definitely present, and I smell it throughout the wear. It’s beautifully blended with the coffee, which adds depth, warmth, and a subtle sensuality. This isn’t your typical sweet vanilla bomb. It’s creamy, elegant, rich, and incredibly smooth. The vanilla feels unique rather than familiar, and honestly, I can’t think of another fragrance that smells quite like it. For me, this was worth the wait. Sometimes the fragrances we hesitate to buy end up becoming the ones we fall in love with the most.

Still contemplating getting this but i did try it out (on skin), long story short hated the opening but loving the dry down. I don’t know why but for the first hour i was picking up some sort of chemical/synthetic note, but after the first hour i started smelling the florals better and bit of the vanilla hiding in the back. As some mentioned it does become creamy. Need to retest i guess.. 🤔 Edit- So i caved & got it anyway i really love it but i have to get past the first 20/30 min to get to the good stuff (on skin) on clothes the opening stays longer which sucks. I’ve always seen people describe scents as a “old grandma perfume” but i have never related until now. I can’t pick up any specific note that’s making me feel this way it just seems like a jumble of mashed florals that come off as harsh & a bit too sweet. The dry down however smells more well blended i get the vanilla , sandalwood, and a tiny bit or caramel. It is nor gourmand but it is sweet (to me). Last Edit- i love it soooooo much! Even the opening (shocking). Longevity is superb 24 hours on clothes.

This is beautiful. And smells niche quality. It has vanilla in it but it is mainly a creamy lactonic floral-gourmand - with vanilla. It's got some spice and woods added too. Basically this is similar to L'ORCHESTRE Bouquet Encore Latte (and Bouquet Encore *OG*). They could be sisters imo. This one has more sandalwood in the base. I love BEL and this is great as well. This is absolutely nothing like Bora Bora or Queening. And the only thing I get in common with Musaman White Intense is the woody aspect. I own all of the fragrances mentioned. This is really beautiful and suggest trying yourself, especially if you love lactonic floral-gourmands, with a little spice and woods added. This juice could be in a $250 bottle from a niche brand and it wouldn't be out of place. Really well-done. More interesting than your traditional designer fragrances without going too off script.

Let's get one thing straight, the name is misleading..that doesn't mean it isn't a good perfume. Which it is! I love it, but the name, it's not it! Now that confusion is out of the way, I will say what this smells like. Mandir. Sandalwood incense mixed in with florals wafting in, with vanilla lingering around.. It's the kind of scent you get if you have attended a housewarming event where there are aromatics floating around, and it stays on you even when you have left. Dries to smoky woodiness and has vanilla on the dry down, but no way vanilla is the star of the show, it just brings everything in. Has excellent projection and lasts about 7 hours! Do I love it? Absolutely. Will I repurchase it? Maybe idk. A true compliment getter tbh. I think I will wear it around all year and then decide!

Does not smell like Vanilla 28, La vie es belle, or Black opium. It honestly doesn’t remind me of any other fragrance. It’s slightly floral.... you get a sweetness from the coffee and caramel which is not too pronounced at all. Also I pick up the sandlewood and faint nuttiness. It’s creamy, well blended with just the right amount of sweetness. I can tell the scent trail will be out of this world! It’s definitely gourmand leaning not a super sweet cake like vanilla. A good balance of notes that I think many can appreciate. For now it’s a 9/10 for me only because I haven’t had it that long.

Honestly I blind bought this perfume because of all the positive reviews. I am a vanilla gourmand perfume wearer and I must say I adore those perfume. It is not super gourmand if I have to be honest but it still makes me want to eat it. It did smell a bit strong for me when I first sprayed it on. But when I smelled it a few minutes later on my arm I just wanted to eat it really bad. I am layering this with my Victoria’s Secret liquid coconut bodymist as this compliments the perfume even more. This makes it a bit more coconutty and it is especially great for spring or summer days.

One of, if not the best vanilla fragrances I have ever worn. I'm a man who really doesnt care about whether a perfume is for females or males, if it smells good, I'll end up buying it anyways, and this smells damn good. You gotta love white florals to enjoy it for the most part, which isnt a problem for me, it dries down into the smoothest vanilla you have ever smelled, you WILL smell edible. I get a good 6 hours during the day with this, and 8 hours at night, and it projects strongly for the first 3-4 hours. Would I recommend buying? Fuck yeah. This stuff is good. 9.5/10.

This, ladies and gentlemen has finally beautifully matured and I am really in awe by how beautiful it has become. This is now my favorite vanilla. The intense florals I smelled in the beginning has smoothed into the most beautiful, intoxicating vanilla. Absolutely unisex, with a nod towards feminity. On its own or with a floramand or whatever moves you. It is indeed worth the hype. Knowing this is Swiss Arabian, I do look forward to seeing what Vanilla 07 and 74 will be. High praises to Swiss Arabian 🫶🏻 It's an absolute Love 🤍🤍🤍

I actually like this one, which surprised me because I usually don’t enjoy white floral fragrances. However, I can detect vanilla in the base and it softens the white floral, making it incredibly smooth. There’s also a hint of caramel which adds more of a burnt sugary note. It leans feminine to me and I’m undecided whether I’d wear it often enough to justify buying it. I’ll stick with my decant for now. If you’re a woman seeking a unique white floral vanilla scent, this is worth trying

Very lovely and high quality but the name is deceiving. Very heavy floral presence upon opening and after a while the cappuccino tip toes in. I "guess" there is some vanilla in the dry down but it's overshadowed by the florals. Not what I was expecting but I love it anyway. Take two, I've had this for about a week and the heavy floral presence has toned down and allowed the other notes to come forward. I love it even more and will have to purchase again when this one runs out!

Okay so this is a flormand, in the same Way la vie est belle, the Narciso Rodriguez perfumes, and idole and si are flormands. It immediately reminded me of la vie est belle and donna born in roma It isnt the same, but has that generic designer Vanilla floral perfume vibe. So it does have Vanilla. This is NOT for men, deffinitly feminine for sure. I usually find most unisex perfumes masculine leaning (not for me) and this doesnt Iean masculine in the slightest. Its soooo good!

Love it! Spicy florals and a hint of milky coffee witn caramel and yes - there is a warm vanilla in the background enveloping everything. It’s not quite strictly floral and not quite strictly gourmand, it’s very unique. Reminds me for some reason of a mix between Initio - Rehab and Diptyque - L'Eau Papier . It’s quite sweet tho, I wouldn’t wear this in summer lest I wish for people to drop dead around me. But for autumn and winter, even early spring - definitely!

This is so good, I am not sure how long I have had it, probably 6 months at least and I never reach for it, well that changed about 3 days ago and now I have worn it every day since. This has matured into a beautiful fragrance that smells expensive, smooth and projects so well. I have had everyone asking what I am wearing. I hate having to explain what it is but also telling them their bottle won't smell like this right now, but next year it will :-)

Oh my dear!!!! No ageing process needed!!!! On arrival, first spray spectacular!!! It is a floral vanilla with a hint/pinch of sweetness. This is for grown folks!!!!!!!! Wow!!! It kinda reminds me of Narcisco Cristal, but with a peppery caramel kiss. This In Love at first sniff for me. I will update later about sillage/longevity.

This is not an ordinary vanilla ... It's a mature, grown, elegant, classy vanilla, with some caramel and white flowers, and a hint of cappuccino. The pink pepper it's slightly detectable.. it's so well blended. Love, love it! *It doesn't remind me of any other vanilla on the market. I think it's an original creation. 👌🏻

This is a gorgeous unique vanilla fragrance it’s so airy floral and sweet it’s not a gourmand scent be all means there’s nothing else that smells like this either it’s very special to itself by being its own creation. I love it and it lasts a long time just like all Swiss Arabian perfumes do this was an awesome buy

I love this so much. To my nose I get florals and the sweetness of homemade caramel and a gentle vanilla. it just takes me back to a time when I would be playing with my toys and my mom ironing clothes just after she baked. there's a hint of Vanilla sweetness in the air and a strong floral fabric softener scent.

It opens with a beautiful and prominent Indian jasmine note that is most noticeable during the first hour. As it settles, the fragrance transitions smoothly into warm vanilla, soft musk, and tonka bean. The longevity is impressive, lasting around 7 hours on the skin, with good projection throughout the wear.

One of the most unique vanilla scents I own. Its very woody and you get the tuberose and the cappuccino notes, and vanilla is a supporting role in this fragrance.

I know this is hella early and swiss arabian doesnt really do inspirations but im curious if this has similarities to other perfumes, would love to know

White florals with a touch of cappuccino and vanilla plus loads of incense which is weird as it's not even listed in the notes? I don't mind this as I like incense, but just be aware. It's not a sweet, fluffy vanilla perfume, it's grown up and complex and vanilla is just one the many notes here. I'll save her for colder season that I think she's more suitable for, she'll be a good layering partner for other fragrances too. Good projection and longevity. I like her, but I'm not sure whether I'd repurchase.

I blind bought this one and I’m happy with it. It’s mostly floral but not in an old lady floral kind of way, it’s soft and sensual. The vanilla is there but is faint sadly, wish it would be more prominent, same with the cappuccino note, I love a good coffee note but it’s very mild here. Overall, I really like her. I think it’s a safe blind buy, I can’t see anyone hating this fragrance. To me this is a unisex scent but for some may lean slightly more feminine but I can see this smelling very sexy on a man.

Vanilla 01 ironically has nothing to do with vanilla it seems. This is predominantly a sandalwood fragrance with a hint of coffee and faint florals in bg. It's kinda cozy and perfectly unisex btw. It's good but I do feel this is being over hyped by influencers. Edit - I actually love wearing this in cold weather. The vanilla is faint but it does get sweeter in dry down. Overall all turns out to be a really sophisticated alluring scent.

I was really looking forward to trying this and managed to get my hands on a decant when it was launched. Its nice but I prefer Musk 01 to this and if I had to choose between them that's the one I would go for - in fact I already have a full size in it. That being said it is a pretty scent for cooler days and night its cozy and subtle but the performance didn't wow me compared with the others I have tried.

The longer I smell this fregrance the more I take to it. I would classify this as unisex. Definite sweet woody notes come through. Cap on the bottle is unique but otherwise pretty basic

It was a smart decision to get a decant first, because it's nowhere close to its name, and quite controversial. Heavy, balsamic white florals from the opening and during drydown, it's giving elderly vibes.👵🏻 Suffocatingly strong musk. Vanilla shows up faded the whole time. It's there, but it's only whispering. Most of the time you're gonna feel the heavy jasmine and tuberose.🌼😑 Despite I don't really like the creation overall, it's indeed a quality scent, giving niche vibes with great projection and longevity. I try to give a shot to maturation, but I don't think the agressive white floral notes will fade away.🙄

This is a delightful vanilla floral scent with an exceptional performance. On my skin, it lasts for more than 24 hours. It doesn’t project heavily, but its performance is fantastic. The only downside I’d say is that it’s a feminine fragrance that suits better for nighttime encounters. It’s a lovely choice for women, even though it does remind me of my grandmother in some way. Do I like it? Yes Would I wear it? Probably Does it last? On my skin over 12 hours Did it blow me away? Yes Safe blind? Yes Worth the price? Yes Is it unique? Yes Overall rating: 7.5/10

Fragrance Journal Entry #28 To be clear this is for women and should not be worn by a man, i own many "unisex" fragrances but this is purely feminine. Now as for the scent the name is very misleading, there is little to no vanilla until the very deep dry down (6-8h in), what you mostly get is this sort of sour milk powder over a bed of flowers and coconut, the lactonic notes in this fragrance are some what nauseating. On the other hand i have not smelled anything like this but this just is NOT for me. Rating: 3.7/10 Blind Buy Safe? NO

Where is the vanilla in Vanilla 01? The name is confusing. On my skin this is orange blossom+sandalwood+incenses for some reason. I don’t know why, but to me this smells really incense’y. Maybe it’s the cappuccino note. I’m really trying to smell cappuccino here, but I get incense. Either way, this does not smell anything like what the notes suggest. But I will say that it IS a really good scent and it feels high quality. Just get a sample first.

This perfume really took me aback. I think it’s certainly a bit overhyped. There is very little vanilla at its heart. It seems to center more on heady white florals coated in a bitter cappuccino foam. A bit conflicting for sure. Certainly would be far prettier if it was not as excessively musty.

This smells like hotel bar soap at a luxury hotel (soapy with a hint of vanilla). I don’t get gourmand or even flormand. Just high end bar soap. It’s not a bad scent per se, I’m just kinda disappointed because it wasn’t what I was expecting based of the notes and reviews on social media.

All I can smell is an overpowering and sharp musk. After three months of maturation, there are subtle hints of white flowers and vanilla. It should be called Musk something, not vanilla 01. Fortunately is only 50ml and I have finished my bottle yesterday

Since I do not enjoy heavy flowery smells I cannot enjoy this to the max. But it’s decent and I’ve got compliments.

I've been re-exploring vanilla-centric fragrances that are vanilla with a twist. It was suggested I try Swiss Arabian "Vanilla 01" as it is (allegedly) a unique take on vanilla. For starters, Vanilla 01 is very peppery and the pepper note remains throughout the wear. The opening coconut note is overwhelming, as is the addition of musk. I know this perfume is an extrait; however I find the perfume excessively oily. For me the perfume smells sharp, sour & bitter, which I attribute to the combination of MUSK, coconut, tonka and pepper. On skin, I get tons of briny sandalwood but zero florals, zero cappuccino and nothing reminiscent of sweetness. For me, Vanilla 01 gives light petrol (similar to the smell of vaseline) and paint varnish. Truly disappointing.

I got a decant of this because I was so curious seeing it being reviewed. On my skin I smell nothing but strong sandalwood and white florals, which unfortunately was actually quite nauseating. Upon settling the musk really becomes apparent, but still??? No vanilla??? For a perfume named Vanilla 01 this scent profile is so misleading, and I wasn't even expecting a gourmand vanilla either. Unless I just can't pick the vanilla notes up??? Personally I think this is not a safe blind buy. It almost reminds me of those toilet cakes I used to smell when I was a kid.

Initial impressions since my bottle just arrived today. I mostly get creamy florals and then some vanilla on my skin. The fragrance is slightly lactonic. I will let my bottle sit for a bit and see what happens. Edit: had this for a while and I didn't get much vanilla from it. My fault for blind buying it. In the end, I gave away my bottle.

I had high expectations for this one, cause, in general, I love Swiss Arabian perfumes. But to my nose this is a screechy white-floral mess. I can’t understand the composition, the name, nothing.

When you see the name Vanilla 01 you think you're getting a main character must have in your collection Vanilla! But this is not it.😬😐 Unfortunately, Swiss Arabian never fails At creating heavy overbearing, intense Arabian DNA fragrances! And it's pretty on brand with the owner being Middle Eastern, born and bred, and I can't be mad at her for that. She doesn't make apologies for a Western audience. She stays true to her roots. And unfortunately, while I always want to Support this brand it's hard because the fragrances are always so suffocating. With these notes, we should have gotten a gorgeous, beautiful vanilla scent as the name suggests. But this is overbearing heavy and screechy, very, very strong. And as it dries down , it gets stronger and starts smelling perfumey and leaning heavy into a WHITE DIAMONDS type feel! I'm not even getting vanilla. It's sweet but not vanilla. A 10 out of 10 recommendation , for my GRANDMOTHER she would love this!!!

I tried it more than 10 times but was never convinced. On me it leans feminine, and for my wife it leans masculine, so I decided not to buy it. This unisex trend should be stopped, perfumes should be either for men or for women.

A mess of tuberose and incense. This is my second experience with Swiss Arabian smelling like incense but not listing it. The vanilla note isn’t there at all, overall this is nauseating and not a safe blind buy.
