Ghost Flowers

ataraxiuh's description of white roses bought at the airport is perfect. In specific, the long stemmed white roses came from that rotating flower vending machine at the Vegas airport. Ghost Flowers perfectly embodies the bleakness of white florals. Melancholic. There are whispers of something more tangy, salty, sharp in the background, but it cannot make its way through the dense fog. Comforting - some dryer sheet. Morning dew drops falling from the soft petals of flowers that reside on a chilly, rocky coast. This scent feels like you put on someone else's sweater.

I was initially attracted to this scent’s notes and got a sample. Ignored it for a while because I didn’t love it on first wear. I just revisited it today and on first smell, I really started picking up the milky, lactonic nature of this scent. I imagine the scents of a spring cottage full of green magic and a milky pudding on the stove, surrounded by concoctions of decomposing florals stewing on the hearth. Very magical scent. like visiting a tombstone to clear away old flowers and replace with new ones. Will be reaching for this one more often!

Great scent. Cold, icy, like you’re in an empty church decorated purely in white.

taking a walk through a shadowy forest while your bare feet press into the moss and lichen...your flower crown has started to decay and you’re aching for chamomile milk tea to soothe the ache building in your chest. pallid, lonely, grim

Probably the most photorealistic flower I’ve ever smelled in a fragrance. It’s like you stuffed your face in a bouquet, it gives off a very green, cold sweetly sour flower stem smell. Paired with maybe a little waft of sunblock and fresh laundry? Less ominous and ghostly like I was hoping. But it was fun to smell regardless.

Wavey tulip is great on me , this one not so much. The white flowers are similar. This one has a dusty musky funk.

Unfortunately not great on my skin. Spicy opening that never faded into the mellower notes I expected.

Ghost Flowers is aptly named, as it is an intangible pale floral. Earthy, ethereal, not a fragrance a fairy would wear -- simply how she would smell as a product of environment: a blossoming, wet, mossy forest--flitting from lichen lounge to reshi recliner, catching a ride on an orchid mantis to powder her cheeks with pollen straight from the pistil. Setting the dew to glisten upon every glossy leaf in sight. The lactonic quality is calming, more a milk soak in a waxy flower bath than a cold glass of milk. It never grows heavy or cloying. The wood notes are not overpowering at all, a measured restraint used with the sandalwood and fir renders them beautifully blurred chiaroscuroic background. I can't believe I am the first to review Ghost Flowers here, it is such an engaging landscape--peaceful, wearable, comforting and full of charms to experience.

lukewarm milk tea at the end of the world. traces of lily and jasmine, planks of polished wood. primarily a creamy sort of faint floral. i had to consciously sit with this for a while until i really grew an appreciation for it. the nondescript nature of many of the accords used here has a sort of blink and you'll miss it type of subtlety. a diy fusion of jovoy remember me and passage d'enfer. worn on a cream white sweater with an iced chai latte at the season's first frost.

White flowers and milk of course instantly brought the novel White Oleander to mind. This is pretty- milky and sweet with a bit of a melancholy undertone. Deadly flowers mixed with milk to poison your lover who broke your heart. I’m enjoying this on my skin- first spray is surprisingly inky, dries down to white floral and prominent indole with creamy milk and some spice in the background.

very nice lactonic NOT TOO SWEET which feels rare when it comes to perfumes which have milk as a note.. as for the white flowers? idk . kinda powdery.. not SO indolic , a bit fruity and thick, im guessing thats the cardamom and vanilla . feminine, natural smelling but its just okay .

first impression: smelling a bouquet of white long stem roses purchased at a flower shop in an airport. Funerary and sterile- something sad and solemn. slight milkiness that invokes an almost velveteen sensation. you can feel the petals tickling your nose.
