BIBLE NOIRE

Bible Noir, is a very serious call on humanity’s state of corruption.. The scent immediately reminded me of a priest, but one that has witnessed terror, that has witnessed the flames of hell. How did he? It is a mystery,, but we can say hell is even present on this planet sometimes... but was it god’s will? Much more like our own. I am a big fan of church and incense perfumes, this one is amongst my favorites, it dares add a much more challenging style to it, harsh animalic notes. Combining the holy with what is unclean,, it is a powerful statement. That as many believe, religious authority on earth, is also vunerable to imperfection, it is our nature.. So this explains the terrors even they bring onto us.. It is a very beautiful message, one that will certainly reflect humanity as time progresses. It helps us realize how ugly we all truly are... but through the smoke of incense,, we feel cleansed, away from our problems.. This perfume, I would say represents very well, the process of struggle. And sanctification,, it reminds me of times I was lost.. and poisoned by resentment.. such gorgeous contrast of precious woods and incense,, all known and loved by many.. but animalics? A heavy Guaiac note? Bring it on,, this is a challenge and a well done twist on such traditional and almost heavily replicated ‘churchy’ scents. This one stands firm and clear,, and special to it’s identity! Another scent I couldn’t imagine being done differently, but I was thankfully wrong.. kudos to SY! This one is mega! A good challenging message is carried within this Scent!

an antique mink scarf that has been marinating in a metaphysical store for 70+ years after hanging in someone's wood shop for 20+ years. Incense and leather explode on first spray, then you get a slightly sweet woody note with a more sharp leather note. I'm not a huge fan of woody smells (i find sandalwood and cedar too sweet) but the woodiness of this is balanced really nicely with the myrh and animal-pelt smells. I'm also used to "leather" notes being too like, new-car chemically so this is a really nice, more natural and warmer wood scent experience. I'm a fan! Definitely for the person who looooves the smell of incense resin, which I know can be polarizing. I've really liked everything of what I have tried from this brand so far.

Like a fresh garden. Milorganite heavy soil with wet mulch on top. No plants, just fertile dark fecal dirt and soaked wood chips. Easily the darkest fragrance I've smelled so far and I can't stop smelling it.

Wow nice scent, exactly like a burned-out church (hot, ashy, red fire+ incense), it reminds me of scene in Van Helsing movies (2004) by Hugh Jackman where Frankenstein in the burning church at midnight.

wow, this is strong, smoky, incensey resin, pretty animalic, super woody, leathery and kinda reminds me of propolis on the spray, but overall it doesn't blow me away like Romance Noire did, this one is not really unique, I still enjoy it since I like incense fragrances anyway, but for the price there are so many more interesting options out there

Dry woods with a salty, slightly fecal animalic undertone. The animalic smell disappears quickly revealing a comforting but rather common woody profile. The drydown introduces into the mix a dry leather smell that takes over the woods. If you're familiar with this type of scents you won't find anything really unique here.

I could smell it before I even opened the package. It’s like a dusty and warm cabin. I think I would like this on someone else but it’s not something I believe suits me.
