Romance Noire

It is difficult to decide which is a favorite from this perfume line.. but wow! I am in love with this perfume. It is rare for perfumes to have such rich and fulfilling accords that are notoriously known for being lackluster in the perfume industry! This brand is a great representative for Vietnam. It has scaled to my all time favorites. Romance Noir is by far the most coquette scent in this perfume line, but despite this I find it being so appealing for any gender. There is a unique balance of fruits, REALISTIC wine, and heavier notes such as smoke, leather and dust!!?. It is a romantic blend of rose and berries, although it is nothing ordinary.. you will find smoky accents and a rich leather,, all given an abandoned,, dusty feeling... giving it the “per fumum” (through smoke) storytelling style.. That being said, this is a veil of sexy romantic smoke,, old memories making up the untold stories of a past love.. If you are goth,, you need to try this, it is all things a sexy vampire would smell like, and best of all... you will never feel like respraying because the performance is amazing... such a complex scent, but blended perfectly,, you will slowly dissect the notes over time.. giving a full story experience. Poetic!! And kudos to the perfumer ;)..

very dark, exotic, gothic, sensual, elegant and extremely unique, the dried rose is so well balanced among the wine, berries and smoke, and even the smoke is not that typical smoke note you get from other fragrances, it's very subtle. I usually don't like rose in fragrances except for a few ones, but this one is genuinely unique and even addicting, and I love the wine note too, it's more of a wild berries wine of sorts there's also something in this that gives a menthol effect to my nose, yes, even with it being this dark and deep there's still something fresh in there, like a pale, smooth skin over time a really nice old leather starts to come out, and you start noticing the smoke a bit more than before, but it all stays very balanced throughout, and on the very late dry down, 1-2 days later, it starts having a spitty/saliva quality, but it doesn't bother me I really love it, there's something that wakes me up deep inside when I smell this, I genuinely cannot stop sniffing it, such a perfect night/date fragrance, really romantic, and it's true to its name. longevity is almost eternal too, easily 2-3 days even showering every day, it's still going strong

It is almost impossible to wash it off the skin — the aroma lingers even after a shower, for at least another day. As for the downsides, I must note that after the top notes fade, it starts to resemble moldy warm water with wilted flowers. The rose here doesn’t feel dry to me; it’s more of a powdery, vintage lipstick-like rose. Patchouli isn’t listed in the notes, but I definitely sense it in the mid. As someone who appreciates a gothic atmosphere, I think this is a wonderful choice for a vampire heading out on a date — just make sure there are no florists nearby, as they tend to perceive it almost exclusively as spoiled water.

This will definitely be my signature fragrance when I get my hands on the full size bottle. It's THE romantic goth perfume. It makes me feel like an ancient vampire who loves a deep red wine and is covered in priceless velvet. After spraying, I first got the deep wine note but after a couple of minutes went by, I now smell leather with lingering smoke. Major Lady Dimitrescu and Carmilla vibes. Excellent. Edit: changed it to be more accurate now that I’ve had it for a while (still love)

Just got this and it has blown past my other gothic fragrances by a mile and jettisoning itself straight to one my favorite fragrances ever. It’s incredibly good. I will be definitely buying another bottle. It smells like a light berry wine upfront but it’s got this dark allure to it that keeps it from smelling too feminine. Perfectly unisex, and addictively delicious.

This is probably the most vampiric scent I have ever smelled, very dark and mysterious but also alluring. The wine note is enchanting, and the leather is subtle and not overwhelming. There's a bit of earthiness to it, suggestive of a underground crypt. Really seductive in my opinion. Makes me feel like the vampire Lestat.

This scent is gorgeous... wine stained wooden floors, rose petals dried up in a gothic library by candlelight...I didn’t expect to love this scent as much as I do. 10/10

Dried rose, red wine and dusty smell. Definitely one of my favourite perfume, projection and longevity is insane. Very unique and high quality.

Lately, I’ve developed a new obsession with syriac monastery wines, and this fragrance instantly evoked that very sensation. This is unapologetically, excessively gothic; utterly vampiric. Wohahah. To my nose, leather is the dominant note. Others may disagree, but while the opening wine note is unmistakable, it soon gives way almost entirely to what I’d call smoky russian leather. A restrained, mineral-leaning rose runs through the composition as a constant companion, never sharp, and absolutely beautiful. This is what my fragrance Dracula should have been. I still appreciate that one in its own way, but this is the scent that truly fits the concept. Finding such a dark, uncompromising rose+leather+wine combination feels like a rare find. A dark rosy scent. Gothic at its finest. Feels very nostalgic yet dark and sexy.. red wine is there and makes everything better, the rose is a bit strong but still incredible. Love this! This is like a scent of the past..9/10

The individual notes in this fragrance are quite good, but unfortunately, they just don’t come together harmoniously. I had very high hopes for this one since it’s often hailed as the ultimate vampire scent, but it missed the mark for me. While it’s certainly wearable, it leans extremely floral and bright. The combination of dust, leather, dried rose, and smoke ends up creating an impression that reminds me of finding an old pack of bath oil beads from the 1990s in the attic, or a dead stock holiday spa basket from Kmart in the early 2000s that somehow ended up in a thrift store. I’m not a fan of the rose note used here because it smells more artificial than a genuine, high-quality rose. There is a wine-like element, but it leans more toward a fruitier, cheap gas station wine such as Barefoot rather than something rich or velvety. If you’re a fan of truly dark, gothic scents, I would recommend skipping this one entirely. I think people are just hyping this scent up because it’s been shilled on social media, looking at the other reviews of some of the Romance Noire fanatics I’m not surprised this bath and bodyworks tier scent is getting the unnecessary praise.

A dusty bottle of cherry wine with a rose scented candle burning nearby. It’s spicy and boozy with a hint of dust and powder in the background. Smells like an old black and white romance film come to life. Unfortunately leans too masculine on me, but such a cool concept.

When I first smelled it, I even dreamed of it a vivid dream of being in a forest in Mexico with one of my best friends, dancing slowly like witches, wrapped in layers of clothing, smoking and drinking wine under the trees. The perfume had clearly reached my subconscious. This is not just a perfume it feels like an artistic object. It connects to imagination, memory, and inner worlds. The development is stunning: from rose to leather, from sweetness to smoke, from youth to something worn, dusty, and deeply sensual. Despite its references to youth the rose, the wine, the cigarette the overall effect is sophisticated and elegant. When I wear it dressed in black, lace, and tailored silhouettes, it makes me feel sensual, refined, and intensely myself. It is gothic in the truest sense: an ode to beauty living inside decay. I have never smelled anything like Romance Noir. After only a week with a small tester, I knew I needed the full bottle and I ordered it without hesitation. It is expensive, but worth every penny. This is a scent I want to grow old with, one I know will someday transport me back to many lives I’ve lived. I am wearing it on my wrist as I write this, and every time I smell it, I catch my breath. It is haunting, performative, sensual, and deeply personal. Romance Noir feels like the definition of who I am and who I have been. I sincerely hope this fragrance is never discontinued. 🖤

It fits the artisanal nature of the fragrance but doesn’t stand out visually. I keep oscillating between liking and not liking this. Some days it feels smooth and addictive. Other times, there’s a note or texture that throws me off just enough to make me question it. My sample is almost done and I am contemplating buying another to see if time is what I need with this scent.

The easiest to the nose and most linear one from the Noir collection. Reminds me of a much simpler, fresher, much less challenging and more watery version of Amouage Opus X.

It smells like you're drinking a 100-year-old bottle of red in a dusty old library. Extremely realistic and very nostalgic.
