Embrace

I got a sample booklet and finally got to try 6 Symetrie perfumes this is one if them. This was love at first sniff. Very soft and creamy. The paperwhites highlight this gem of a fragrance. Very beautiful. A summery scent that's romantic and gentle. I imagine wearing this on a rainy summer day. It's so refreshing and clean. Somebody has is it smells like SJP Lovely I can't wait to buy a bottle of this. Update I bought a bottle but it does not smell as beautiful like in the tester booklet. ..sad. Luckily I just found my signature scent ( a fragrance by Clinique) so no more looking and buying perfumes!

Embrace is truly lovely! Okay, that was a little tongue in cheek, because it is both lovely and smells just like Lovely by SJP. So, I'm going to leave a more impactful review on Sarah's perfume on a later date, as it is the original and an absolutely affordable way in which I've experienced this number. It's a combination of scents that challenged my self-attested disdain for patchouli. The lavender isn't medicinal, the rose isn't too rusty, and the bergamot isn't too bright. It is just pleasantly feminine and positively approachable. This is what I wear when my soul needs a little comforting. It is an optimistic solution to the now of everyone's strife in 2020. In fairness to anyone reading - I am again describing Lovely by SJP, with is cheaper, more cheerful and possesses a much rounder profile. I know this seems unfair to have you read a preview of another perfume, but I tell you all this to point out, that to me: 1. This is Lovely's less prophetic sister. 2. Lovely is a less expensive, far finer performer. 3. Ultimately, we are talking about Symetrie - it is what it is, and you get what you get.

I got a little booklet from Francenet and I sniffed them all. This one caught my attention like an old memory. I could'nt know which note. I loved it when rubbed on my skin. So, a moment of weakness and I bought it (with icluded coupon). Well... From the spray bottle it's so different. It is a lot sharper and I get mostly rose. I know there is something else, but it reminds me of all the other perfumes with rose in it. I am a bit disapointed. I hope to get to the drydown, but I'm afraid the scent will be gome by then.

Starts out as a very soapy lavender. Clean, fresh and inoffensive. If you want to smell like a lavender soap bar this is for you. Ends a bit sweeter and less soapy but this fragrance is all about the floral notes. An easy to wear fragrance but nothing remarkable. Terrible sillage and longevity but I suppose for us$20 per 100ml you can afford to reapply. Everyday, workplace scent. Too simple for Night time wear.

This is a clean, syrupy citrus scent. It reminds me a bit of a room spray my parents used when I was growing up, but it's certainly not bad. This would be a great choice for someone who likes citrus, since it's basically a citrus bomb. I wouldn't personally wear it as I'm just not into *this much* citrus, but I would enjoy catching whiffs of this on someone else. I like it. For the price, I recommend it.

This is a pretty lavender, rose, white floral soap type of perfume. Very fresh, clean but not in a shower gel way or an aquatic way but in a good old-fashioned high-end soap way. This is a classic, could lean unisex because of the lavender and cedar. Smells like a high quality sachet you use to scent your sweaters, very nice.

very light and crisp, it smells like a sophisticated bath and body works perfume. sharper than b&b perfume and pleasantly sweet, yet childish and cheap smelling. horrible longevity. its nice, but not for me.

Goes on a good deal like for her. Quickly becomes quieter, greener, more unisex and office appropriate. Not a standout in any of these types, but not unpleasant.

Smells musky and ambery, reminds me a lot of Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker.

I have a paper sample of this fragrance. The patchouli and cedarwood are forefront here and it leans unisex. They support some soft florals and fruit. It’s quite nice!

Orange blossom, cedar, lavender and citruses. Fresh, white floral, slightly citrusy, woody and fresh spicy. Meh.

very green, similar to clinique happy. I have both narciso rodriguez and lovely by sarah. Not similar to me

In general, for some reason lavender turns grassy, green on me, and this is no exception. For those who get wonderful lavender note, I think this will be pretty nice.

First Impressions: (booklet from fragrancenet) All I’m smelling is heavy patchouli, and cedar wood smell. Can barely smell the rose or the lavender. Verdict- pass

First on this smelled like cheap synthetic fragrance oil to me, mostly in the white floral range. A nicely dusty yellow pollen edge came in to back that, but the sense of inexpensive fragrance oils persisted and when it dried down fully, all I could smell was a single note white flower with no dimension. As with other scents of this line I've tried so far, it's not bad in anyway but it's also not something new or anything I will wear. Price point is fabulous, though, as KikiLee points out.

Soapy, clean lavender at first; stays very lavender forward even in the dry down where I can detect a warmer essence, no doubt the patchouli and cedar wood. This warmth after the freshness keeps the fragrance interesting for me, although it doesn’t last long- the perfume, in general, lacks staying power. Maintains that soapy flavor throughout.

Embrace reminds me of Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune. The orange and bergemot notes translate into an almost grapefruit accord. The cedar and patchouli creates a note very akin to musk. Very well done and very affordable.

Only note I can get is a faint, soapy, harsh lavender. Like a synthetic lavender hair oil or something. Not for people who don’t like lavender, and I don’t. 2/10.

This reminds me a lot of SJP’s lovely. If I were looking at a fragrance in that style, I’d still probably go for Ajmal’s Shadow for Her.... or Lovely...

This is a long lasting lovely rose floral scent on me. I pick up the rose notes more than any other. Pretty floral.

this smells exactly like my grandmother i would never pick this for myself, definitely smells vintage

Complete copycat of Lovely by SJP. Honestly would be better off with that one + it's cheaper
