Journey

This is nice. Journey evokes gentle euphoric feelings by its simplicity. It takes me to cloud watching in the spring in a field or meadow, or a hike through a pine forest. I picture a young lumberjack wearing this as he slices up some cedar. I personally can appreciate this on a summer morning for around the house. I'd also wear it with a flannel shirt or if I'm going for a more rugged but clean look in an outfit. This is easy and safe for the gym and for work. Not a signature by any means, but it's truly enjoyable. Though it's not listed as a note, I get a whiff of pear, especially in the opening. It's not particularly sweet or juicy. It's got a smooth effervescence. The lemon notes, while expertly blended, stands out. Mostly in the opening, it's like Sprite with a hint of pear and with little to no sweetness. Fresh but mature in my opinion. I personally don't really enjoy the combo of cedar and lavender in most fragrances, but here I find it not just endurable, but enjoyable. I've had this fragrance for at least 2 years, and while I didn't like it at first (not that I hated it, I just felt neutral towards it), my opinion has shifted to appreciate it. Perhaps because it's had time to macerate, it has lost many of it's synthetic characteristics that I remember being slightly put off by. Journey has blossomed into an enjoyable fresh fragrance I find myself grabbing for work or before hitting the gym. I can see the resemblance to CK Obsession, however, I'd dare say this is better. The only area where Obsession beats it out is in the longevity. This is a very clean, fresh, borderline soapy fragrance. For the price point, it's really well done. You won't hurt anyone's feelings with this one.

This is a pleasant and unobtrusive aromatic scent with a slight herbal tint that will offend no one. Ok for office wear. It won't get noticed except in very close conversation and leaves no trail, so it's safe for the elevator, but don't expect compliments from passersby. Though not listed in the above "main accords" section, I do detect a very slight and pleasant "muskiness." There's enough floral quality to put this fragrance into the right side of the "unisex" zone. Maybe appropriate for a young woman looking for a sportier scent. But take the bottle with you. By lunch you'll need a retouch if not by morning coffee break. Too weak for me. I'll be giving this away.

Another fine fragrance from Symetrie underrated here because it is given away in samples from a major distributor. This smells like fresh flowery fields with some distinct patchouli underneath. Extremely reasonably priced, this would make yet another good office scent.

Reminiscent of Tommy Bahama Maritime Journey. Soapy body spray type freshly. Not bad.

This smells a bit like a male shampoo to me. Not bad. Something to wear to the office but you won't catch many ladies attention w/ this a tad safe and boring.

Lavender, pepper, sage and a faint hint of neroli. Aromatic, sharp, green, herbal, fresh spicy and generic. Good sillage and longevity. Very basic.

First Impressions: (booklet from fragrancenet) Ehhh, inspire smells better than this one. It smells like head and shoulders that used to use. Verdict- pass

Aquatic citrus, leathery lavender, very masculine, but nice too. There's a nice warm woody base with the top notes laying smoothly over that. I don't doubt that this might very well smell like men's Obsession, as Franky1122 says. It smells familiar.

Smells like citrus musk body wash from native. I don’t know why every men’s fragrance from Symetrie smells like Native body washes, but it does. Like a 1:1. I rate it a 6/10.

Smells like Head & Shoulders Shampoo. As a matter of fact, exactly like it.
