Love

I received a sample booklet of Symetrie fragrances. Out of the 6 women's fragrances, "Love" and "Harmony" are the ones that caught my attention the most. I am so glad that the booklet came with a coupon, which means I only paid $14 for each. I would not have been a happy camper if I paid full price for both fragrances. I like the bottles. They have a simple design and are easy to hold/spray, unlike several flankers I have. "Love" is a soft scent that sits close to the skin once it dries down. If you like soft fragrances, this perfume will work for you, especially in an office setting where some people may be sensitive to strong fragrances. You'll likely need to carry the flanker (or an atomizer) so you can respray once or twice during the day. The longevity and sillage are weak. There is nothing unique about this fragrance. It smells familiar-- like something I already own or have used in the past. It's a forgettable scent. I always find myself having to sniff the nozzle just to remind me what it smells like. In the sample booklet, it had more of a punch to it, but an hour or two after spraying "Love", I couldn't smell it anymore. I used this fragrance during the summer, the fall, and have occasionally used it this winter. Most people may find it most appropriate for the Spring and Summer, but I will use it whenever I feel like it. I haven't decided whether I want to keep it or pass it along, but I know I won't repurchase any other fragrance from this line.

This is a beautiful scent. Well-balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. It would be a typical fruity floral, but the praline adds quite a bit of depth. More than anything, I pick up on gardenia and musk. Pretty!

I have a paper sample. This is tangy, fruity, and floral with a nice musk. It’s a little too fruity for me, and there’s a creamy aspect as well that’s not my vibe. It’s very nice, though. Great if you like apple and creamy praline.

A frutiy cassis vintage synthetic mess. Don't even bother. So much for being named "love", hypocrisy before my nose.

Fairly sweet, but not cloying. It’s unobjectionable.

First Impressions: (booklet from fragrancenet) Just get juicy contour that one is better. Nothing striking me about this one. Verdict- pass

I dislike the red apple and the praline note in this. I wish they were left out. Those notes ruin what could have been a nice white floral.

I'm not sure if I should even right this review as I suspect my body chemistry may be to blame for my dislike of this fragrance BUT this was my experience. Opened with a delicious syrupy honesuckle, but rapidly went downhill from there. The honeysuckle lasted less than a minute then it morphed into some sort of nondescript floral soap bar, more soap than anything else to me, which faded within 5mins after which I could not detect any fragrance on my skin. I can not explain why this happened as I have never had this problem with any of the other fragrances from this brand.

A bit on the generic side: reminds me of a really nice hand lotion you'd give as a gift to someone you know likes scent but not what type of scent they favor. It's a faintly sweet floral with creamy undertones. It isn't exciting or new, but it's imminently wearable. What I refer to as a tea party scent; pretty, feminine and unlikely to offend anyone.

To me this fragrance is the blush pink satin on a ballerina's slipper - soft, sweet, uplifting, light, and elegant. It feels classy enough that it could be a wedding day scent. All notes are blended so that nothing stands out - it's just a feminine, clean, powdery white floral. Could be a cousin or little sister to Ralph Lauren's "Romance".

You are probably anosmic to one or more notes of the perfume. Try once a month spraying the minimal, smallest spray possible, perhaps the anosmia will lift, since your nose will be used to the note (s). The nose is overwhelmed by one or more notes and blankets the scent in an attempt to avoid you smelling more.

Kinda get a grandma old ish smell like bliss from the same line, smells old but in a nostalgic way. I get synthetic rose and fresh ozonic florals, but smells like a shampoo you’d find in a retirement home. 4/10.
