Akatsuki

I bought this in July at Rebellion in Bangkok, which is a must visit for any fragrance fan who happens to be in the city. The staff is kind and knowledgeable, and my friends and I got to meet Tada, the perfumer behind this brand. He creates his fragrances in the lab part of the store. The scent is beautiful, light, and fresh, and slightly aquatic. I don't get too much of a floral vibe, and the grapefruit is the strongest note here. It has good projection and longevity, and lasts 8-10 hours on my skin. This is the perfect summer scent in my opinion.

I never imagined a bamboo-scented perfume actually existed, and Tada Parfumeur has crafted this Akatsuki scent exceptionally well. It is a truly unique green fragrance. The fresh notes of bamboo are blended with tomato leaf, and the added brightness of grapefruit and melon gives the scent a very multi-dimensional feel. I feel like this is a perfect addition to my collection because it’s an intriguing green profile that doesn't make me feel like I’m literally smelling like a tree or grass. Very well crafted.

I am so impressed with Tada. From the delicious gourmand (Boba tea, radiant memories) to this fantastic green scent. Instantly pleasing. I am going to buy more. Update: It seems like an clean fresh athletic scent but with forest twist. Hints of Irish Spring Soap at the beginning. Gentle florals throughout. I am trying to smell that melon. If i press my hand up to my nose i almost believe it is there and the reason why this stands out. Overall a lovely scent.

I bought this perfume in Bangkok from Dunsi Central Park at the skoox space. It’s literally like a what the picture depicts: a rainforest of bamboo strolling with a mild rain. It’s done to perfection and a very unique scent from the rest of the collection. It’s green, earthy, wet but calming. it’s definitely a day scent and signature scent worthy. Tada has done an incredible job with the quality of each perfume and this one is no exception

I'm not sure why it's mentioned that this one is a floral. For me, it's a green and fresh perfume. While I say it's green, it's a very unique green scent. It really reminds me of bamboo scent as it should be if you look at the picture on the bottle. I've used Akatsuki for sometime, and it never fails me.

Smells so green at first, the bamboo and tomato leaf really come through. Then it fades to a much sweeter green smell. Maybe it seems warm because it's kind of subtle and you have to get close to smell it. It reminds me of corn husks.

Starting with unique, fresh, and green scent from bamboo. Dry down is also good. Considering this one is the collaboration between Tada and Prin, this one is a must for perfume collectors.

Wow, this fragrance is really surprising and beautiful. I get green damp earth (probably the bamboo but I have no idea what bamboo smells like) and some grapefruit. It smells just like the art in the picture, but something also rainy and wet, without being a standard blue/aquatic fragrance.

The tomato leaf and bamboo was a really nice choice of green!! Plus with the aquatic+fruity (guava smell tbh but I think its grapefruit) combo is really good!!! There's a hint of white floral that I think ties it all together! It was an interesting smell.
