Sanzu no Kawa

A friend of mine shared this fragrance with me. At first I didn't like it at all. But after I knew that this one was a limited piece with an inspiration to imitate the lake of the dead according to Japanese's belief, I tried it again and understood what Tada Parfumeur wanted to communicate with this bottle. From my thought, the animalic scent plays a major part as a represent of the dead body. The sea notes represent the lake of the dead. The floral notes represent the flowers around the lake of the dead. And the rest adds the mysterious vibe for the perfume. Judging it as a niche perfume, it's very interesting to imitate the imagined scene like this. The opening tells the whole scene. While the dry down becomes an Asian oriental scent that is hard to find in other perfume. This is worth to add in my niche perfume collection. Hope I could find other limited pieces from this house.
