UAE Cardamom

Salaam, friends😁 This is my review for EMIRATES LAND (happy national uae day). The bottle is almost the same but the notes listed on the Taif website, not at all. I'm leaving this here in case anyone searches visually for this one, as I suspect that Fragrantica's listing may be actually more accurate! My favorite from the GCC collection. But jeez, is it linear😫It has a leathery feel to it, nothing original per se, reminds me of some Tom Fords and limited summer editions Muglers at once. I get a pineapple vibe from it more than a citrus. Sweet woody but not sugary. Smoky, earthy, catholic-y (those who know, know). Somehow it works in the daytime, but really steps up at night. Enjoyable in Emirati heat and in Quebec's cold, humid weather. It's a powerful juice, yet almost impossible to overspray (the spray is the most PERFECT mist I have ever tried). The bottle is very heavy and solid, the packaging is overindulgent though. Comes in beautiful lacquered wooden box, inside a velours pouch, inside a box with a sleeve, inside a gift bag... all of which I have no use for😅 Makes for a fantastic gift, though🥰 I fell in love with the brand but I deplore the customer service in their boutiques. I hate those BS expat sales reps who blatantly LIE to you because they want your money. They invent perfume names, pretend the notes are secret, will declare any perfume you're testing their 'best seller, Madame'.... These charlatans are in every shop regardless but still, I have higher expectations from the brand😔
