Sunshine

Angelic. It instantly reminds me of Musk Tender by KO-GU, a soft, musky skin scent I bought in Miyashita Park in Shibuya that I wore constantly, then somehow lost. It still hurts a little, especially because no one really sells it in the States, so it’s become this vanished object tied to a very specific time in my life. Sunshine felt similarly elusive. Hard to find here, but the moment I saw the notes, the aldehydes, angelica, and musk, I knew it was already speaking my language. Clean, airy, slightly futuristic, with gentle amber flourishes underneath. I can definitely say it’s deeply nostalgic in a quiet way. I get transported back to slow, sunlit walks in Japan, but at the same time I catch unexpected flashes of springtime in Virginia, from dawn to dusk. There’s something genuinely comforting about owning a scent like this, a scent that holds you rather than tries to show up. One that can catch you off guard when you’re introspective and suddenly make your eyes tear up. One perfect for the seasons of change. If you’re into the Frutiger-Aero style aesthetic, this one should click for you. Think linen, green pastures, pale sunshine, a body at rest, a body at play.

This was a difficult bottle to get a hold of, as the few importers to the states I could find were charging nearly double the price. Unfortunately, for a blind buy, $200 was too much to spend. Luckily, a friend of mine was actually flying through the Incheon airport and was able to pick me up a bottle there for a much more reasonable price. On to the actual scent. When one hears "Sunshine" in terms of fragrance, they tend to associate it with aquatic, fresh, citrusy scents. Tamburins, however, chose to go a different way with this one. It is a very clean, woody, and light scent reminiscent of a weekend solo camping trip in the desert where sunshine is endless. It lingers in the air and in the heat radiating from the rocks after the sun goes down and it's just you and the infinite stars in the sky. Tamburins have nailed the sun baked warmth of a beautiful desert evening without being overpowering and loud. This fragrance is special to be sure. One of a kind, just like you.

Extremely clean with zero sweetness. The opening feels like sun-dried linen with a subtle forest-like freshness. As it dries down, it becomes softer and more rounded, adding a gentle, comforting touch. Overall, a very pleasant and easy-to-wear scent

it smells a little aquatic, soapy, clean but not in a cotton type of way for me personally. I love love love how it smells, just wish it lasted longer bc for me it disappears after not even 2 hours and i spray like 8 sprays ):
