Patch Absolue

I have to say this fragrance really surprised me. I don’t generally gravitate towards patchouli fragrances which I often find too dank and earthy. This was such a pleasant surprise..... it is smooth, spicy and warm without the cloying sweetness that you might expect from the vanilla. The boozy notes made it lovely to wear on a winters day. The sillage was lovely early on, but after about 5 hours it was mostly a skin scent. I also tried the others in the Absolue range, and this was the best by far for me. Andy has some stunning fragrances in his range, but this is moving to the top for me. Well worth a sniff.

Very good. To me, a more earthy Coromandel/richwood. Very well done with good performance, my issue is its nothing innovative as its pretty similar to the two mentioned above. Still very worth the buy if you dont own those

Patchouli exactly as you’d expect from Andy Tauer. Rich, creamy, and spiced-up with his signature DNA! I love this...it’s infinitely wearable.

This starts out as very dank patch - like a walk through semi rotten autumn leaves. It’s not my style of patch- no chocolate going on at all. It gradually warms up a bit and becomes slightly sweeter with benzoin. Still not enough for me though. But it is a good perfume for those who like dank patch.

I'm not usually a fan of patchouli and vanilla used together, especially when amber is added to the mix. Hopefully both are fairly restrained and any sweetness comes mainly from the benzoin. The rest of the note pyramid looks quite appealing. I'll give it a try if I come across it.

This seems like it could be very similar to the discontinued Patch Flash from Tauerville (which I love). Can anyone confirm, if they are close?

Hasn’t anyone bought and used it? I’m dying of curiosity.

Hopefully this is a dark fragrance
