Vanilla Flash

Oh my Lord! This is STUNNING! Andy Tauer is a God!!! Vanilla Flash is indeed a different take on vanilla. After several disappointing blind buys of recent, I requested a sample to be included with my purchase of this perfume so I sprayed my little sample, with my fingers and toes crossed. HOPING for a successful purchase. Well, I'm absolutely in love with this. On first spray, I was a little worried it was maybe going to be a little too 'green' but within seconds, that Andy Tauer signature came thru with a strong reminder of his classic 'L'Air du desert Maracain' which is a beautiful perfume, representative of a hot Moroccan desert breeze, unlike anything that I smell in other high end perfumes, (the 'Tauer' sig) followed by a dark vanilla, not sweet but stunningly cozy. (L'Air du Desert Marocain, I believe is Andy Tauer's best seller.) A 'must have' for niche perfume lovers. So, if you took LdDM and added a splash of Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille, you'd have Vanilla Flash! (Or something similar) I'm also grateful for the AFFORDABLE and SENSIBLE 30ml bottle size! ($99AUD @ mensbiz, authorised Australian stockists of Andy Tauer and Tauerville fragrance lines. The review below this describes the perfume beautifully. There's nothing I can add to that other than I too get superb performance and excellent longevity. Big YES from me! Just divine! Seriously divine, a real winner for me, and it's right up there in my 'most adored' perfume list. EDIT, the rest of the 'Tauerville Flash' line is well worth checking out too. Incense Flash, Amber Flash, Fruitchouli Flash, Rose Flash and Tuberose Flash. :)

STC was having a white flower/vanilla samplethon, so off I went! I really enjoy Tauer perfumes; they all have something "in common"--the Tauerade, that is a little chemical, a little acrid, pungent and peppery. It's not for everyone, but I like it. I love the incense series and his roses. I'm not a big rose fan, so the dry down with Tauerade in the rose is quite nice and there is always a smoky burnt aspect--again, that I like. At first spray, I got the vanilla--but then Flash quickly moved into something else. I don't really get a lot of rose or patch. The pepper shouts to me, and then, in the dry down wisps of vanilla appear here and there; they are not the typical gourmand sweet vanilla (THANK goodness), but a dry vanilla and tobacco quality without sweet aspects, more of that Tauer base. Vanilla is not my thing, but I wanted to explore it in a different way, and this succeeds in "Not your mother's vanilla." Actually, that should be, "Not your daughter's vanilla..." This is vanilla with a difference; you won't smell like suntan lotion, or "hippie" vanilla roll-on, or some kind of vanilla body spray. It's quite nice, different, spicy/pungent woody vanilla--but very, very light and evanescent. The latter is a problem--this goes on huge for all of 30 seconds, but dies down quickly to a low humming, on and off again skin scent. It is not big. Just when I thought it was "gone"--it came back. When I went to bed, I could smell whiffs of it off my pillow. I like it, but I'm not FBing. When my sample is gone, I'll be back to my Tauer Desert Marocain.

The first Tauer fragrance I've ever tried... At first it was much too rosy for my taste, a very in your face deep rose. After a little while it starts to transform into a boozy, vanilla tobacco leaves scent, quite lovely. I need to test this more to be sure, but it's pretty good if you're looking for a simple tobacco/vanilla scent but still want something "perfumy" smelling, hence the strong rose theme. The rose does tone down as it dries which is nice if you're not too keen on the floral end. In my mind as I smell this I imagine a fine tobacco shop wafting the aroma of sweet blends of tobacco leaves flavored with the richest vanilla from a far away land...as you walk outside that scent mixes in harmony with the rose bouquets that adorn a florist wagon nearby. It's such a soft aroma, you can almost "smell" the softness of VF as it wafts off your skin to caress your senses. Vanilla Flash is a happy medium for folks who are looking for a good "beginners" tobacco, vanilla, combo fragrance but not looking to delve into the (easy to get lost) world of exotic niche perfumery, no Vanilla Flash keeps it simple, to the point, but delivers what you would want from a niche fragrance: a well crafted scent that develops into something wonderful on your skin. If you love the notes of tobacco, vanilla, or bold rose, then this should be on your test list. It is definitely worth a good try! Unique and beautiful, this will generate compliments. The perfect romantic scent in my opinion...I feel inspired to write when I smell this.

Vanilla Flash was such a wonderful surprise to me! I'll admit that I tried it because of all the Tobacco Vanille comparisons I was seeing. Vanilla Flash is is not a TV clone, but I do understand why some people mention it as a similar less-expensive alternative. I actually think I might **gasp** prefer Vanilla Flash. My bank account certainly does. It opens with dry vanilla and tobacco, just lovely and fresh, not at all a cupcake scent. I get the barest hint of soft rose in the background, a true rose garden smell instead of a synthetic rose chemical mess. After a bit, bam, it transforms into almost pure patchouli for a brief time, with the vanilla and tobacco coming back to play softly in the background. Then, bam, another transformation, this time the tobacco steps up and the patchouli and vanilla take a backseat. Then at the end, everything rounds out and becomes balanced again for the duration. I love all of the stages! I couldn't stop sniffing my wrists throughout the day, and more than once I unwittingly exclaimed "Damn I smell good!" I was worried a slight bit during the brief omg-patchouli stage because it was on the edge of being overwhelming (in the way Angel overwhelms me), but it never crossed that line. Vanilla Flash had great longevity on me, 6+ hours with one light application. Projection is only moderate, but that's ok with me. I prefer to walk into a room before my fragrance does. Vanilla Flash is just lovely to me, and I expect that it will be one of my frequently worn favorites.

This reminds me of Tauer's other scents (particularly rose khandar and rose chypree) very, very strongly. I guess it's the tauerade or whatever. But to me this is a GOOD thing, as I can't get enough of his stuff! It is also similar to TF's Tobacco Vanille, as others have noted, but I don't find it to be a dupe or even overly similar. TV comes off as much more cinnamon candle/clove-y smelling than this does. This is also not as syrupy sweet, it's dryer and softer. I kind of wish this had the punch of his other Rose Flash, but it's more of a skin scent.. may have been more appropriate for him to release it in winter as it does not seem like a summer fragrance at all to me. Still, it's gorgeous and definitely worth buying a full bottle. Longevity is great too, just wish it had more projection. Do note that at around $60 for 30ml, it is less expensive than his other scents, which is nice. Overall, recommended. Edit- I just got a bottle of Fumerie Turque, and upon smelling it I thought to myself "I've smelled this somewhere before." Turns out, Vanilla Flash is pretty similar to Fumerie Turque. I'm sure I am not the only one who would think so, as they share many notes. Worth trying this one if you are interested in FT but can't afford it, as this is very inexpensive compared to $300 for a bell jar.

My second purchase from Andy Tauer and my second love for what the guy is achieving. On my skin Vanilla Flash starts out with a strong rose note which I absolutely adore and then settles down into a more tobacco / vanilla rich fragrance but with the rose still hanging in there in the background. It does remind me quite a bit of Tobacco Vanille which is one of my favourite fragrances but whereas TV is a loud, somewhat in your face fragrance, this is a much more restrained and refined fragrance which is much more versatile in my opinion. For a niche fragrance of this quality it doesn't break the bank though it is hard to get hold of in the UK (I had to buy it from a German fragrance shop) but it sure is worth making the effort. Longevity is superb and projection very good as well, I've had a number of compliments wearing this already, it truly is a gorgeous creation. One of the highest compliments I can give it is that now I own this when I come to the end of my Tobacco Vanille bottle I may not bother repurchasing it as VF gives a similar vibe but can be used on a lot more occasions due to it's versatility. Think of it as Tobacco Vanille Lite if you will. I highly recommend making the effort to add this to your collection, I guarantee you won't regret it.

I blind purchased 2 bottles of Vanilla Flash as I was certain I was going to love it judging from the notes, and how right I was! To tell you the truth, I imagined it to be a little different, more of a boozy, bourbon stand out Vanilla but instead the Vanilla is a dry, semi sweet, dark Vanilla like the Vanilla used in Tobacco Vanille or Mona Di Orio's Vanille, the grown up, rich and expensive smelling Vanilla. The opening on me was very close to Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille as the Tobacco note in Vanilla Flash is very prominent and syrupy. It then changes and a beautiful ambery Rose mixes in with the Tobacco and Vanilla. The Patchouli does not stand out much so I would assume that a non Patchouli lover would enjoy this scent. Vanilla Flash is quite strong so I only need one or two sprays and that lasts for about 6 hours on me and silage is outstanding! This scent is perfect to wear in colder months, day or night! If I had to describe briefly, I would say that Vanilla Flash is a lush, intense spicy Tobacco and Vanilla fragrance with subtle dry woods and a sweet ambery Rose that is perfectly blended, Tauer style! If you are a lover of Tobacco scents, you must try Vanilla Flash! I wore it for 3 days straight, it is highly addictive and delicious!

I just tried Tauerville Rose Flash yesterday, and Vanilla Flash is fantastic as well. A strong, fun, expression of the signature note that is certainly different enough from other vanilla fragrances that it merits a lot of attention. Vanilla Flash is not purely a beautiful floral expression of vanilla as Black Flower Mexican Vanilla by Dame Perfumery. Rather, Vanilla Flash is slightly boozy in the sense that it does smell like alcohol (nothing specific like rum, but just alcohol in general), and slightly dirty in the sense that it smells of patchouli and tobacco. So while the vanilla is dominant, the other contributing aspects give it its own identity. And although Rose Flash is a pure perfume, Vanilla Flash is still a strong EDP that is great for the price (30ml for $63). Projection is strong (though admittedly not the same cloud as Rose Flash) and the longevity is convincing, as well, in the 8-10 hour range. Rose Flash is an imminent buy for me and Vanilla Flash is right up there. A great structure built around one of my favorite notes. Bravo to Andy Tauer for these affordable Tauerville creations, which have set the standard almost too high for his more expensive line. Can't wait to try Incense Flash. 8 out of 10

This fragrance is absolutely gorgeous. My girlfriend loves vanilla scents, Guerlain Spiriteuse Double Vanille being one of her favorites, so I picked up a sample of this for her to try. She hated it. So, I used up the rest of the sample and I fell in love with it. Once the sample was used up, I immediately went back to the boutique in my city that carries the line to snag myself the bottle. On my skin, it's basically a spicy vanilla rose fragrance for most of its life. The tobacco and patchouli are very faint until way into the drydown but when they do finally come out, they add great nuances to the fragrance. In the air, the sillage it's pure magic. The longevity is fantastic. The projection is good. The price is fair. It's perfect for early spring, late fall and winter, but also could shine in late spring and early fall as well if you don't go too heavy on the trigger. Overall, another masterpiece fragrance from Andy Tauer. This one beats out some of his much more hyped fragrances for me, like L'Air Du Desert Marocains and Au Coeur Du Desert, although those are great, too.

Love this. It does have some similarities to TF Tobacco Vanille in the sense that there's tobacco and vanilla, but it's a distinct fragrance. Vanilla Flash isn't so loud like TV and doesn't have the cloves. Instead it has rose, and while it reminds me of Tauer's Phi Une Rose de Kandahar the rose isn't so upfront here and it's a bit different in the impression it gives off (Phi is a bit more sickly sweet rose at first, though the drydown gets it closer to this one). Sillage is somewhat ephemeral, hard to pin down at times, but it does last awhile and I often get unexpected whiffs. Both TV and VF are unisex in my view, though TV might lean a bit more masculine due to the cloves. However, I've been told that the rose makes Vanilla Flash more masculine, so it really comes down to preference. I like both this and Tobacco Vanille for what they are--I don't think either is a replacement for the other. I'll wear TV when I need something strong, perhaps for going out. Vanilla Flash is my preference for more regular wear.

I've bought 30 ml sprey version in Zurich for €65, back in June. I wore it couple of times now and I am really liking it. When Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille came out I tried it few times but never really liked it except its performance. More tobacco than vanilla. But overall you are having nutmeg perfume as a result. But here, this gives you what promises, as the name suggests. Quality vanilla, plus some tobacco note who ever seeks for it. Some spices, too. To cut short, this is what I've tried to find in Tobacco Vanille, but couldn't. Not sure if it suits well on a woman. Definitely evening wear and the right season is I guess fall. This fall/winter I'll enjoy wearing Felanilla at day time and this on evenings. It lasts on me for 5-6 hours and projects just fine. Then again, both longevity and projection far less then Tobacco Vanille...still worth a bottle.

Tauer's new Vanilla Flash is nice! It has an interesting opening that smelled a bit like ginger cola, bright and a little tangy, yet no citrus. From there it only gets better. The heart reveals intense tobacco, and any spice is extremely subdued in this phase; vanilla seems deliciously natural, like vanilla bean ice-milk. The base smells like a boozy, spiced rum ice cream--wonderful! It is not smoky at all, in case anyone is wondering. I also smell a vein of wood running throughout the perfume. It is similar to the wood I like so much in L'Air du Desert Marocain. This is no Tobacco Vanille. Vanilla Flash holds its own. It is spring in my city, and this vanilla wears well in the sunny and warm air. For the price point, Mr. Tauer is right, this is a fantastic vanilla as well as a fantastic tobacco perfume. Certainly a love for me! Full bottle on its way.

The vanilla fragrance for folk who usually cant stand vanilla. Its vanilla but its totally natural smelling. It never gets girly although it has some sweetness. This is vanilla that hirsute men can wear with pride. Why?! Well, its because its been tempered to perfection with tobacco and spices. I admit on the opening there is probably more tobacco than vanilla but then its eases off along with its similarity with Tobacco Vanille. Yes, there is rose as well but its still bang on unisex. The rose is perfectly balanced between the vanilla and tobacco. There is some patch but I am sure there are wood notes here. The result is a wonderfully cosy spicey vanilla fragrance that I personally would not be without. Its definitely in my top 5 of vanilla dominated fragrances. Good longevity and good sillage.

I have had this beauty for over a year now and I often receive compliments when I wear it. Some remarks have included that it smelled expensive & others have included how I smelled of freshly baked cookies. I get a very edible smelling vanilla with a mixture of dry rose & some spice hiding in the background. Sounds simple right, well it is but the ingredients used in it are not like your average drugstore perfumes. The longevity has varied for me, anywhere from 8-10 hours but can remain on clothes even longer. The sillage in the first few hours leaves a scent trial where you go, later stages of the fragrance it is about an arms length bubble. This my third Tauer perfume & I can't wait to get my hands on some more, as for this I'd give it a 9 out of 10.

Bagged a bottle last Autumn. Finally. On my skin this is quite rose-forward (reminds me of the rambling roses that used to grow in the hedges around my dad's garden years ago) especially for the first 30 mins to an hour. The rose is accompanied by a light spice and the start of a subtle vanilla. Eventually the vanilla and what could be perceived as a subtle tobacco note comes fully into play until its end as the rose settles. I find Vanilla flash quite 'airy', nowhere near as heavy as I thought it would be. It pleases me well. I voted unisex, but some may say its a touch feminine in the opening My only gripe? The atomiser emits strangely small puffs of fragrance! One spritz from any regular bottle would equate to around three from this. Odd 🤔

This is a delightful fresh yet strong vanilla. I get more vanilla than anything else, no tobacco for me (and I love tobacco). The rose is probably what makes it seem fresh to me. I blind bought this because someone compared it to TV which I am infatuated with. I also love vanilla, so I figured it couldn't be a loss if I tried Vanilla Flash. I do like it a lot - it's a comforting yet different vanilla for me. I can see it being worn in any season. I find zero relation of this to TV - and I'm not sad about that because it smells great in it's own vanilla-right. It made me interested in smelling other Tauer perfumes for sure. Nice lovely clean yet interesting vanilla. Sweet but not sticky marshmallow sweet. Definitely unisex.

I tried a sample of this two months ago, liked it, ordered it a month ago, but it had to be shipped in to the UK retailer(Les Senteurs), and have just received it, and it is an uplifting, bright blast, slapping me out of the doldrums of English voting stupidity, as well as a bunch of wasps deciding to make a nest in a hat on top of a wardrobe in my bedroom, forcing me into pestocidal mania. Vanilla lifted by spices and rose hits me immediately, and the tobacco sneaks in keeping it interesting over the long haul, and no, it isn't like TFTV, thank the stars. Also, this is unisex, I know it doesn't smell of tar, blood and chainsaws, but, you know, the 21st century...

Fresh tobacco and cold, rose flavored milk. No sugar added. It's like tobacco rose ice cream. Vanilla Flash is a beautiful unsweetened tobacco scent. There is a sheer creaminess that smells more like milk than vanilla. I think this is going to be an excellent all-season tobacco. Not heavy and the lack of staying power is good for me, because certain tenacious tobacco aroma chemicals tire me out after their 2nd day on my skin. By contrast, Vanilla Flash feels extremely natural, calming, and just right for me. A petite tobacco for a petite woman.

This is my absolute favorite of the line, but I've not tested Rose Flash. This shares some similarities with Eau Sauvage Parfum without the citrus notes, but this one is much better. I can smell a wonderful myrrh in this, even if the note is not listed. I also suspect a little amount of almond. I don't know Tobacco Vanille, but I have Tabac Rouge. Vanilla Flash is much more pleasant to my nose than Tabac Rouge. Thank you Andy for this magnificent scent. The price is quite high. 60 EUR for 30 ml is like 200 EUR for 100 ml.

So much more enjoyable than TV or Pure Havane or Chergui etc. Tauerville streamlines its fragrances perfectly so this is all about the vanilla which is slightly smoky and evolves nicely with the tobacco and rose. Where TV etc. can be cloying and overly sweet VF is dryer and less complex. There comes a point where a fragrance has too much going on and loses its identity as a result, VF never loses sight of what it is. From start to finish it is simple and well structured. Andy does it again.

My deepest fragrance regret is not buying this before it was discontinued. The only vanilla fragrance I’ve ever loved. Vanilla Flash captured all the depth and complexity of Madagascar vanilla, while seamlessly blending it with spicy, woody tobacco, and making it entirely wearable. Not sticky, not cake-y, no one-note powdery vanillin being passed off as a true vanilla note. Sigh. Still holding on to the hope this comes back to the Tauer line in one form or another.

Vanilla flash reminds me very much of Tom Ford Tabaco Vanille. In fact it smells more than TF than Tauer. I am not overly happy I blind purchased this. It's nice for the fall and winter I am sure , I can't imagine wearing it in the spring and summer. Funny time of the year to release such a scent. Update : not minding it right now ,I'm had Vermeille on this morning and still smelling the dry down of it , I took a spritz of VF to my wrist and the combo is heavenly.

My bottle is going to be empty soon and luckily I found out the same high-quality, natural rose used by Andy also in 'Tobacco Rose' used by Liz Moore. Some reviews also stating that Tauer's 'Incense Rose' and 'Rose Flash' also reminds the rose of 'Tobacco Rose' of Papillon Artisan Perfumes. ROSE is the dominant note in both perfumes, not tobacco nor vanilla. As a man in his 40s, this is the rose I like, not the one in 'Portrait Of A Lady' or 'Noir De Noir'.

Mostly a high quality tobacco with an incense-like quality on my skin. I can easily pull out the rose. The vanilla note mingles with musk and spices, emerging in the middle and drydown. There’s a bit of powder in the mix, I catch whiffs of this hours after application. Perfectly unisex scent for cold weather. This may smell similar to others but it’s unique in my collection. Edit: should be renamed Tobacco Flash (more tobacco than vanilla on my skin)

It's a nice enough vanilla scent, more like an adult vanilla with a few peppery spices. I'd say longevity is average as it's an edp. Sadly this is only available in the edp, unlike Rose Flash which is extrait perfume and lasts 24hours straight. I expected something abit more adventurous from Andy Tauer, however it's not bad at all and due to the price opens up Tauer's fragrance wardrobe to those that may have been priced out before

This is a work of art. I can smell the passion and skills of the perfumer. High quality, sweet, super boozy vanilla-tobacco. Grown up type of sexy (but not "mature"), great for going out. 13 hours on my skin and more than 24hrs on clothing. It is quite strong at first (for like 30 min - 1 hour) but then it becomes softer while remaining noticeable for 6 hrs on the skin. Lovely. Great quality for the price!

This is the second installment of Andy Tauer for his new line, Tauerville.. Vanilla Flash is a boozy, spicy and rosy vanilla.. I would say it's a mature, sexy and sophisticated scent, not the typical sweet and gourmand fragrance that we usually smell.. Each note compliments the others and the result is a magical potion! Highly recommended for vanilla lovers and perfume aficionados in general..

BEASTMODE This stuff smells so amazing and it's in my top ten for longevity and projection. I don't think it smells like anything else but what it is by Tauer. It was a success in blind buying, we all know how nice that is. The most prominent notes are rose vanille and tobacco It makes me want to take a chance on rose flash now. Scent 9/10 Longevity 10/-10 Projection 8/10 Overall 9.5/10

This is a boozy vanilla with a lot of rose added, the rose is similar to the one in Phi Une Rose de Kandahar. You get the tobacco, and hints of spice. Altogether, a fairly linear and simple fragrance but very nicely done. It's slightly cheaper than the other Tauer fragrances at £53 for 30ml (equal to £176 for 100ml). Longevity and projection are fairly moderate.

I love this scent! I read it as pretty straightforward and a progression: On me it's vanilla for a second, rose for an hour, and tobacco for-ev-er. Maybe that's why it's called Vanilla Flash?. The tobacco is dry and sweet - reminds me of sniffing the inside of my grandpa's tobacco pipe, and the overall scent is very comforting if you don't overspray

I think I may be the only person that gets a patchouli punch in the face when I first put it on. Thank gosh I love patchouli. Moments after this becomes smooth righteousness. One of my favorite fan-van (fantastic vanilla) fragrances. Spicy vanilla with an edge - no wonder it comes out punching. I cant wait to try this whole Flash line~

Andy Tauer would you marry me?...this is just about the perfect vanilla for me...not sweet, rich, with a good dose of smoke, and a tiny dash of incense...I don't smell the rose at all in this...great everyday perfume and sure to be on my dresser for all eternity...

I have this, Tobacco Vanille and Vanille Havane. Yes, they all have tobacco and vanilla but there are differences between them. Vanilla Flash is definitely my favorite due to the rose. For me, the rose puts in on another level and makes it very addictive.

I've been using this since 2015 and I strictly advice to finish this up within 3 years. Last year it became powdery and heavy amber scent. Tobacco has gone, patch was gone, rose is barely there. I am rushing to finish this up.

On my skin, the dry down of this one is very similar to Stella, which I love. Not liniar at all, it changes a lot throught the day. Too bad it's discontinued, it has great longevity and projection.

Call me crazy, but this is a dupe for Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille. The only difference is that I like this better! It is just a touch heavier on the vanilla which I prefer. 10/10 for this one.

Kenzo Elephant plus some vanilla = Tauer Vanilla Flash. nothing new but delicious and very strong ! The 30 ml square bottle is cute too ! Love it !

Smooth vanilla and rounded tobacco; minimalistic with a slight edge. A great little intimate scent.

This is Dior Ambre Nuit with some booziness, more spice upfront, and more masculine.

So this was an interesting experience. A couple years ago, I had a coworker getting into niche perfumery who allowed me to play around with her samples she'd been buying, so I would write her little reviews on what I thought of each. Vanilla Flash stood out amongst the crowd and I described it in a letter as, "Yummy, youthful, nostalgic, a cool babysitter in the 80s or 90s that you wanted to grow up to be just like yet it could also just as much be black-tie in Vegas sophisticated." While that's probably a weird review, I had this one on my to-buy list ever since, but with it being discontinued, it was hard to track down a bottle. As of this week, I do own said bottle and I'm not entirely sure what I was thinking before. While I maintain it is sophisticated, the full bottle is not how I remember the sample to smell, so I will update my review here. As a synesthete, I'd initially equated this fragrance to an electric light purple color. Something plasticky, sweet, fun and uplifting. Smelling it again, I'm shocked by how much I didn't pick up of the booziness before. Vanilla Flash is extremely boozy, to the point I can't even say it's a vanilla-forward fragrance to my nose. I get the bourbon and the tobacco so heavily. It somewhat reminds me of my favorite scented candle, Yankee's Black Magic, which is very tobacco-forward. Both are lightly sweet but with this heavy darkness behind them. I wish I got the rose note a bit stronger, as I love rose, though the overall blend is beautiful. This fragrance is very strong with very high-quality juice, but it's so strangely not what I remember. I think if you like the scent of bourbon and tobacco with this strangely uplifting quality to it, then you will enjoy this balance of light and dark. A little goes a long way with great sillage, though on my skin it did not last all day. I'm unsure of what my opinion of it is, now, whether I like it for me or not, as I'm comparing it to how I remember it smelling before. However, owning a full bottle whose age I'm uncertain of makes me curious. I think I will wait to pull this out during the Autumn when I know it will shine the most, but I am considering this a new adventure for myself and this gorgeous juice.

This fragrance reminds me of Chanel’s Egoiste because of the rose and tobacco notes. Vanilla Flash opens with a bold and robust rose note. Vanilla Flash’s rose is juicier and more full bodied than Egoiste’s rose. After about 20-30 minutes the tobacco presents itself. It’s similar to the tobacco note in Tobacco Vanille but it’s less sweet and honestly smells like the inside of a pouch of shag. This is my favorite tobacco note I’ve come across. Around two hours after application I admit I fell asleep and took a nap which was several hours long. Upon waking up the vanilla had finally revealed itself. It took four hours for the vanilla to become noticeable but it was still overpowered by the tobacco. I’m writing this review nine hours after application and the tobacco and vanilla are still very prominent. I must say that I am disappointed and I feel misled by the name Vanilla Flash. I really wanted the vanilla to be the dominant note in this fragrance, but it isn’t. I don’t want to have to wait hours to smell the vanilla either. All things considered, I will probably replace my bottle of Egoiste with this. The rose and tobacco are just so well done, hats off to Mr. Tauer. If you’re looking for a vanilla dominant fragrance, this probably isn’t one that you should consider. But if you like Egoiste or tobacco fragrances you may want to check this out.

I’m not usually a vanilla person, but I can enjoy Vanilla Flash. It’s cheerful, but not too sweet, with a fine abstract hissiness to it, like the champagne-pale facet some Moroccan rose scents have. A few minutes in there’s a boozier, darker aspect, but mostly Vanilla Flash is a happy, sunny-yellow vanilla. Yes it’s sweet, but it’s not too literally like birthday cake or vanilla pudding. Just...regular, friendly, casual yellow vanilla, with a slightly floral quality around the edges. Simple but rich and dense. Over time, several hours in, it gets rosier. Rose-vanilla always has a sort of charming, romantic-ingenue, Disney-princess appeal; Vanilla Flash’s version is warm, rustic, and quite affecting. The Ur-rose-vanilla is, of course, Rochas Tocade, which is a much goofier, brighter, fluorescent-pink rose for when you want to lean hard into Girly Mode. Vanilla Flash is less flamboyant but more wearable. More of a briar rose in a cottage garden.

It's almost as though the vanilla is drowning in something, maybe a liqueur or some kind of elixir. It has a liquid quality that makes it feel more like a juice than a spice, although there is plenty of dryness coming from the tobacco and oriental notes. The fruit-like facet of the patchouli is doing a nice job of balancing out those two polarities, and the whole composition has an earthy, syrupy and warm finish. Really nice in the dry-down, very vanilla/ rose forward. It has some distant relationship to Tobacco Vanille, as though they were uncle and niece, but TV is waaay more complex and VF is lovely because it is simple. I only had a sample and I'm left undecided, I find it very easy to like but also did not fall in love. I think it would just be a really nice bottle to have around.

Dry skin: longevity: up to 6 h with really good sillage. After 6h still noticable with a warm vanilla note without being toooo sweet. Tobacco notes are very dominant but harmonises so beautifully with the rose and vanilla note. Does resemble tobacco vanille of Tom Ford somehow but the rose balances it out very well for it to be a still different fragrance. However, I get the same vibe and sexy but still somehow cosy feeling from this fragrance. Since this is a stronger scent, a bottle of 30ml will last a long time! Handy for travelling. Still not sure, if FB worthy...

Sweet vanilla rose The rose is dominant here, it is as present as the vanilla, so I would call it a vanilla rose. Tobacco is not very strong, and it is a sweet fragrance. It is a very positive-energy kind of fragrance and can elevate your mood and give positive energy to people around you. I wanted to buy it blindly but I am experienced enough not to do that. Currently, I have a sample and although I like it, I am not yet convinced to buy it, but there is a chance :) 7/10

Smells like a no-nonsense tobacco-vanilla fragrance with an added touch of rose and the signature sweet-spicy lift of patchouli. Leans powdery, perhaps the nondescript spice blend or ashiness of the tobacco, but not especially so. Moderate projection for 2-3hr, longevity 7-8hr. Much less cloying than Tobacco Vanille IMO, though I'm not a huge fan of tobacco scents in general.

Yeah I guess I can smell a similarity with Tobacco Vanille (gross) although this one has the Tauer base trying to break through and say hello. Doesn't really get there though. I can also smell a bit of rose in there for sure, which is what's drawing some of the comparisons to Ambre Nuit (too synthetic). I say Tauer quality always trumps all so I'd lean towards this one.

سبق وان علقت على عطرين من مجموعة الفلاش .. الورد والبخور والتي لم اجد فيهما مايستوقفني لكن بعد تجربتي للفانيلا تحديدا احببت ان ابدي رأيي بشكل مختلف العطر سويتي بشكل مرتب وانيق.. فانيلا متزنه لذيذه غير صارخه مع تواجد التبغ بشكل جميل جدا العطر اعجبني وشد انتباهي.. واتوقع ان يكون في الاجواء البارده اكثر روعه انصح بتجربته اكثر من اخوته 8.5/10

Very happy with my purchase, at first I could smell small hints of rose which were a little powerdy while the drydown was a lovely tabacco vanilla blend, not as strongly vanilla smelling as the name would suggest but very well blended, definitely perfect for autumn/ winter. The longevity is around 7-9 hours
