My mum bought me a small one of these for Christmas and I disliked the initial smell but fell in love with the dry down. What I didn’t realise is that this perfume was to become one of my most memorable. I lost my doggy of 14 years on Jan 30 and this was the perfume I wore that day, along with my fluffy blue jumper you can see in my profile picture (I was probably wearing it there too). Every time I smell it, I think of my beautiful boy. It is powdery, feminine, very like Parma violets when you take that first crunch into one and get a little of the dust wafting round your nose. It is lovely. It lasts around 3-4 hours with me but I usually top up. It’s not a massive projector but it’s by no means bad in anyway. I bought a big 100ml of this so I can always be reminded of my dog.

Was bought this as a Christmas present and would never have brought this for myself as not really a fan of Ted Baker however, for some weird reason I fell in love with this scent. I would definitely buy this again.

The new bottles of W (clear liquid with a red w across the bottle) list different notes, but it smells like the same perfume as the old pink version with less violet. The notes on the box of the new bottle are..... Top: Grapefruit, Rhubarb and Cassis Heart: Rose, Peony and Jasmine Base: Musk and Vanilla I think that there is still violet and raspberry here but the new version is just a tiny bit sweeter, less acidic and it’s a tiny bit weaker. It’s the dry down where you lose the violet. I’ve had the pink bottle for a while and the tingly sharpness is what had me torn on it initially, but it really grew on me. They’re both very pretty and easy going spring / summer scents that almost have a feel of honeysuckle in the way the floral sweetness wafts around! I’d grab the pink juice if you’re a violet lover and the new clear juice if you’re not into violet :)

I am so torn on this one. It’s super subtle but it also makes my nose tingle! I tried it because of the Parma Violet sweets comparisons, but this is not anything like that to me. It’s a dry Violet, not sugary at all. There is sweetness in the scent (it dries down really nicely to have a slight raspberry sugary sweetness, but the actual Violet notes are missing the sweetness and that’s what’s stinging my nostrils! It’s confusing because I sort of like it while also really not liking it! After not too long it becomes a skin scent and by that time the nasal tingle has calmed down a lot. I don’t get much vanilla. It’s just a slightly sweet floral now. I’m sort of enchanted but also don’t know yet if I’d recommend it. I don’t normally feel so torn over a perfume!

Well, this is something nice. For the price it's a great choice, if you don't mind that the staying power is so low. Anyway - on me it opens with sparkling raspberry and spiciness of the cassis. I do feel violet and fig, but raspberry is definitely dominant. There is a touch of vanilla at the beginning and of course the drydown, but it's not overly sweet, so that's a good thing. Actually, it does smell a little bit like raspberry cider or something like that. Little bit sour, spicy, fruity and very, very fresh.

I received this fragrance as a present from a good friend of mine who knows my obsession with perfumes. Before opening it, I read the reviews which most of them were negative so I was not expecting much of it. But to my delight, it really is a lovely fragrance, a sweet woody fresh juicy floral, nothing groundbreaking but it is really nice and so affordable.

I never find Ted Bakers frags particularly amazing, this one also, this one has prominent violet scent, which wasnt unpleasant but I didnt love it

Not amazing, just a pleasant fruity floral that's suitable for everyday use. Longevity not the best!

Poooooowwder. Very musty floral

I have Ted Baker W EDP 30ML which was part of a Ted Baker gift set. Although this is a Toilette, its fairly long lasting. I understand this is a fairly cheap perfume however, for me the scent was not it. I have purchased cheap perfumes before which do have a pleasant scent. This provides a strong instant scent of alcohol/chemicals slowly shaping into a floral tone. Its a little too floral, almost sickly personally for me. It did not excite me in terms of scent. Nothing distinct nor significant. I much prefer woody, spicy, clean or citrus tones which have something exiting, this lacks just that. I use this mainly for guilt free spraying, because it is not offensive, just not great. I use this to spray my home or spray myself if I am going somewhere non significant. I will save Chanel No. 5 or Youth Dew for something of importance. It does gain some points for the longevity, almost acting like a poor lasting eau de parfum. However the scent is not something that would bring any memories. Overall 3/10 Overall

Was given this as a gift one year. They clearly bought it on a whim! Not a floral person at all!!! Too sweet for me. I find that floral and fruity fragrances are just really unnatural to wear on the skin. Nice as a room spray, green house or garden but not for the skin. You'll get compliments alright, but I read somewhere that men find spices and vanilla the most attractive scent on a woman as they are alluring, warm and sexy. Pretty is nice but not what grabs a man's attention.

What can I say? Not a great deal actually. I find W to be a generic blended synthetic floral. When I was driving to work this morning I could not even begin to discern what kind of notes this contained, nothing suggested itself to me except 'chemicals'. Looking at the notes now I am still not convinced, although a little vanilla has crept in. It is pleasant enough I suppose, light and not overly sweet, but far too underwhelming to capture my imagination.

I found this very generic and rather boring. It almost seems like a unisex fragrance. From memory it was clean and powdery. For me it smelled like I had used complimentary hotel shower jel. Not bad; but not impressive. I actually gave this away to a much younger relative. Not for me at all! But a safe 'meh' bet for work... Inoffensive and boring 😴 but INEXPENSIVE! YAY!

Damn this is a strong floral. Smells quite like Leonard Leonara. I noticed both have orchid and currant, maybe that's what makes the similarity. Anyway, I feel like this would divide opinions. Not my cup of tea.

This fragrance has very little lasting power. Smells like a body spray rather than a perfume. I gave my bottle to my 12 year old, she loves it.

I have a little 10ml bottle of EDT which you just dab onto your skin- it doesn't have a spray attachment. I got it in a gift set with other Ted Baker scents a while ago. I agree with Skinscents4fusspots below, that it dries down to a slight raspberry sugary sweetness- Raspberry leaf. Raspberry. Honey. Baby powder. But on my skin this is pretty much all it does. The initial hard to define but also pleasant, equally floral and fruity maelstrom (definitely not predominantly violet scented) lasts no more than 5 minutes, then this residual scent lasts no more than 2 hours on my skin, and I can only smell it up close. So all a bit pointless really, I like to stink a room out with my fragrance 🤣

Skin test, immediately gelt like guerlain champ elysies. I have the older shaped bottle. Ted baker one is less thick, less heavy. This one almost has a smidge of bitter in the background of fresh airy. Its sort of in ljne with how calvin klein dies fresh but without obvious wood or green notes. The violet vibe is most prominent but not potent - guerlain insolence is a beast, thisbisnt. Someone put similar to ck eternity, i would say not of the top t baker isnt spiced, but its florals and fresh part could well be similar. Diff scents tho.

I really like this cheapy....I suppose its your skin chemistry though. I agree not long lasting by any means. But for me very violet sweet rose orchid to start. It does give me blasts of violet as I move around when wearing this scent. I like the feminine touch to it. Fresh and happy smell to me. I think with body lotion and shower gel its stronger. I really like her...she's unique and a little different, but I like that in perfumes.

Where's musk in the notes list!? I realise I've got musk on the brain (it is my favourite note of all), and that it's so ubiquitous that it often isn't explicitly listed if it isn't particularly prominent in the fragrance; but in this case it is just utterly absurd not to list it! This is one major musk-bomb! And all-the-better for it, to my mind! I do think this is one of the great cheapies.
