Creation de Minuit

After my successful experience with ted lapidus white soul and white soul gold,ted lapidus perfumes were under my radar.a good friend of mine recommended creation de minuit so today when I saw it in local perfume shop,I asked SA for a test.he sprayed it on back of my hand.tge most prominent note to my nose was blank berry.I liked this juicy blackberry-a light touch of rose fruityfloral but I expected more.it was nice smelling but didn't make me want to buy it.I was looking forward to enjoy a pretty musky heliotrope so I was dissapointed So I left the shop.I could catch whiffs of it sometimes but But now,after more than one hour,I'm at home and I can observe it carefully I'm facing something completely different.there's still berry here but it's not juicy.overall scent has changed to something dry and very powdery.kind of scents that I see them as a lipsticky rose on a cedar base.a dry,powdery,woody,musky berry-rose combo.it has elegance and sort of retro vibe that I find intresting and pleasant Unfortunately it doesn't last more than three hours on my skin.still I see it more than nice smelling fruityfloral of the first minutes and I want to give it other chance.it's intresting drydown which reminded me volnay perfumes deserves to give time For now it's ❤❤❤

Ripe tart blackberries with some musk and heliotrope. Very pretty for a fruity scent and not a typical modern celeb fruity floral at all. This is like drinking blackberry wine from Amish Country. The smell of berries sitting in a bowl. Goes on alcohol and a bit harsh, dries rapidly into rich berry then quickly becomes a skin scent. I wish it stayed in the middle. In the final hurrah, it comes together as heliotrope and cedar with a hint of the memory of blackberry.

It is a little too sweet for me at the beginning. A minute later, smells similar to L'imperatrice by D&G. Later on, a little of Jadore. I I think it is wearable in any season. It is nice and classy but not unique. Enjoyable but not irreplaceable.

Smells like a dark, rosy wine. Like I stuck my nose in a glass of blackberry merlot with a ton of sweetness in it. Very different from everything else in my collection. It's really growing on me. This is lovely.

I was thinking it would be much more interesting and dark then it turned out to be. The fragrance is old fashioned, but not like some luxury perfume from the 70's, it's more like some cheap perfume from the 80's - 90's. Don't get me wrong, it smells nice... but nothing more then just 'nice'. It is boring, cheap and too old fashioned. Not for me...

A generic fruity floral, there's no mystery at all. I'm disappointed!

As "gtabasso" accurately says below, this is basically blackberry atop heliotropin (piperonal) and musk. The blackberry is enormously successful, an astringent and semi-sweet berry note, dark and velvety smooth, which endures in declining stages for maybe around an hour to ninety minutes before transitioning to the floral musk, which acts more as a landing pad for all the off-notes of blackberry, rather than as a satisfying accord of its own; it gets barer and more sour as the hours tick on. Longevity is good (seven to ten hours), throw is decent (three or four feet), and quality is above average. You really have to love blackberry to wear Creation de Minuit, but if you do, and you don't mind a bit of a hairspray vibe in the far drydown, this fragrance is worth checking out. I only sampled this on paper but I must say I was hoping for an amazing fragrance for such an amazing bottle.. The truth is this fragrance is actually quite nice, soft, blackberry-apple with rose and a bit of vanilla. The good thing is these notes never were my favourites, but I still find the scent pleasant and likeable, not very strong, not overpowering or 'plastic' - smelling. The sad thing is I imagined it to be something a lot more amazing,a bit more dark, a bit more sensual.. And yet it isn't. If I got it as a present, I would surely keep it, and sometimes spray it. But knowing what I know now I wouldn't buy it. Sob-sob..

It's so interesting how scents work on different people. I recently got this fragrance. I love it, for me, it smells like freshly brewed black tea, lightly sweetened. It smells fresh, earthy and slightly sweet.

If you like Forever Elizabeth, you will like this perfume, they are similar but they aren't completely the same.

The description is very interesting indeed. I'm hoping to have a sniff of this in the near future :)
