Ça Boum

LILY AGLOW. Opens with slightly salty lily that continues into a floral heart resting on a vanilla base with root-y touches from immortelle. There is a cooling, glowing quality to the lily here, and I get a faint gasoline note throughout which distinguishes it from other lily scents, and I wonder if that's why it's called Ca Boum, although there are no explosions, just lily with a gasoline glow. Contrast to Pleasures Intense Estee Lauder: These are different, but there are similarities both being lily forward scents. My first impression of CB was that it smelt like PI, but PI doesn't have immortelle or a gasoline note. Although many people love it, I could take or leave Pleasures (OG), but Pleasures Intense is a longtime favourite I will always want in my collection. Both CB and PI are strong performers, but PI has enormous projection. Overall: Well above average performance and a beautiful scent profile, this is the perfect scent to wear for a firefly vibe. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

I was looking for a perfect summer vanilla marine perfume for me. And I’ve finally find it. Lovely and good longevity too. (I had tested also « Peau salée » of this brand, but the salty notes is too plastic on me.) When I wear Ça boum, I’m immediately transport on a warm beach and smells sand and flowers. I live far from the sea and this perfume confort me so much. With Solaris and Ylang Ylang nose be, I have now my top 3 fragrances for hot summer.

I am in LOVE with this scent! So surprised not to see carnation in the notes as on my skin I seriously had some major spicy floral vibes that reminded me of smelling carnations. I personally enjoy carnations so was quite intrigued while wearing this one. Honestly, to me this is a spicy floral with a yummy vanilla dry down. Quite strong initially and great longevity. This one is going on my must have shelf.

Very delicate and feminine. Lily, jasmine and vanilla notes are beautifully blended here, creating a comforting-fresh fragrance. Safe to wear anywhere, anytime. Unfortunately longevity is not good, but I love it so much, I don’t mind ♥️

A salty floral vanilla and lilly. It's good! Reckon might be better in the summer!

This is a very beautifully balanced white floral. I get the jasmine on first spray and it's bordering on animalic but luckily the sweet notes come in and keep it from becoming indolic in an off putting way. It's got just enough bite to it that the white florals actually smell realistic and hold up against the sweet vanilla. What this reminded me most of at first sniff was Guerlain Terracotta, but it as it dries down it quickly begins to go more in the direction of Songes by Annick Goutal. There's no detectable lily in this, so it doesn't smell like Lys Soleia to me. I would've guessed frangipani or something in that tropical sphere. I definitely get the vanilla but not really any salt. Vanilla Vibes has a salty sand/sea spray vibe whereas this one is all about the creamy tropical florals. Again this is probably why my nose links it to Teracotta by Guerlain. I wouldn't say they're dupes of each other but if you like that one this is probably safe to check out, it's the more commercially safe and mass pleasing of the two. It's like a cross between Terracotta and Vanilla Vibes. Not really atmospheric nor salty enough to be Beach Walk, or the OG Bobbi Brown Beach, but a good one to try if the price is right. I got this sample from someone else so I have no idea what the going price is for this scent but I wouldn't pay more than $50-60 for a full size. Especially not when you could find many of the other scents referenced for around that price.

Very interesting perfume. It is not a blind buy as it’s not a typical vanilla perfume at all. I know it’s technically floral, but this mix of notes is giving a synthetic, plastic / rubbery smell reminiscent of some comme des scents. It kind of smells like brand new tires a little bit, mixed with a salted caramel / vanilla / Lilly or something. I like but don’t love as much as the other perfumes from Teo. Ps bottle is dope and vaporizer is excellent which is a big plus.

I think I'm in the minority but I like this one. Starts off true to life lily, like an Easter bouquet. Rounds off to beachy mixed with old school powdery double bubble gum, which sounds gross but is actually nice. Ends with a vaguely salty vanilla. I dont get any of the animalic notes other people are mentioning in the reviews. Doesn't have great longevity probably 3 hours and not much projection Very nostalgic for some reason but can't quite put my finger on it.

I didn't know that "refreshing" could be an attribute of a vanilla-forward scent, but Ça Boum pulls it off effortlessly. I think it's wonderful! To me, every Teo Cabanel fragrance made by perfumer Patrice Revillard is an absolute standout in their fragrance collection. His creations share a common creamy sweetness, but are well-grounded in their intriguing base notes to hold my interest more than a typical gourmand would.

Salty and solar. A lot saltier than expected especially in the initial spray. I dont think it can be called a suntan lotion fragrance because it doesnt have the oiliness or creaminess of some of those - its more elegant and airy, but it is still very solar, summer-like. The vanilla isnt too sweet (very airy, unisex vanilla, not gourmand or overly potent) and the top and middle notes are still quite prominent throughout

This scent sits right next to Eau Duelle from Diptyque... There is something medical/ dental about it and a vanilla extract/essence smell to it. I could never tell if I love it or not, it must be something strange about the chemistry of my skin that does this to both of these scents. I will try it on a very hot day to see if it feels different

This is interesting! With my body chemistry, this is a jasmine-centric scent. Sweet, solar, a bit plastic-y. Very unique, unlike anything I smelled before. I'm not a fan of the opening (this is where the plastic manifests), but once that settles - it's really effortless - salty breeze, jasmine and vanilla.

I like this also. It reminds me of Paco Rabanne Olympea in the opening. What came to mind when I sprayed this was a nice sophisticated good smelling Indian girl. It’s floral with a good dose of salt and the vanilla taking the spotlight in the background.

It didn't surprise me much, but it is still a playful, joyful and "colorful" scent. I like the opening, then the drydown is a "green"vanilla, a summer scent! I like it. Sillage: 6./10 Longevity: 6./10 Scent: 7.5/10 Overall: 7.5/10

Happy, bright vanilla. A lovely scent to throw on in the summer. It feels familiar, almost like a cleaner version of a Victoria's Secret body spray. A likable perfume, but not unique.

Soft white florals beautifully blended with vanilla with a hint of salt. It gives off a tropical, beachy vibe that’s easy to wear and love.

Ça Boum is a plain and rather simple perfume which I find rather pleasant, but forgettable. It takes the combination of vanilla and florals, popularised by the great Shalimar, and twists it into something matching the current trends and tastes of the 2020s. White flowers take the stage, namely jasmine (what does sand lily smell like?), however a large dose of immortelle helps to create this dry, almost sandy effect. The vanilla is fairly standard, sweet and creamy but not cloying or vulgar, but where it really shines is the salty accord which pairs wonderfully with the vanilla. This is a scent I didn’t take to initially, the opening made me turn my nose up at it instantly. But as it settled, and the salty vanilla came to life, I began to enjoy it - I’m not head over heels in love with it, nor will I be rushing out to buy a bottle, but I’ll certainly enjoy my sample this summer.

Ça Boum opens as a beautiful lily, and turns into a cloud of vanilla as it dries down. The salt note is not overpowering at all, which I'm grateful for. I wish the vanilla didn't overpower the flowers as much, but it also doesn't give me an instant migraine like many vanillas do, so I can't complain too much. I prefer other fragrances with similar scent profiles, but it's still nice!

I just received a sample of this with Teo Cabanel's discovery set, and Ca Boum is among my top 4 out of the bunch. It's in the same family as Olympea, but rounder, smoother, and more elegant. I keep going back and forth on whether to pick up a bottle since I already have Olympea and I'm not sure I need two salty vanillas in my collection. I'm really enjoying it though!

A short formula perfume but with a nice rendu....gardenia binds to rose to bring its velvety texture to the composition, before embracing a salty vanilla. We visualize the sand lily, its flowering with a slightly exhilarating opulence, and the dune evoked by a fine touch of Immortelle. Simple and well done
