Hegoa

Hegoa is a refreshing breeze, a wind from the South of France. The scent is dominated by brisk and clean citrus and bergamot, the heart coming through softly and after about 2 hours. The green tea gives a nice bitter balance to the rose, and I enjoy the slightly warmer, woody base. A true unisex scent, this is best worn in Spring and Summer. The bottle design is lovely and fits the scent very well. I agree that the scent sits close to the skin, but also find this very lovely when worn on a scarf. Truly keeping my head clear when working with a lot of people. Notes on the sample: (the ingredients list on fragrantica is missing the Violet) Bergamot, Lemon, Mandarin, Rose petals, Green Tea Woods, Violet, Musk and Amber Notes A scent for lovers of natural scents and highest quality ingredients. Feel the breeze, it brings memories of the sea.

Underrated brand and one of the best fragrances they do imho. Really great mix of tea, pepper and rose. Firmly unisex, the florals do not go too feminine and the pepper does not go too masculine imho. If you like the tea note from Wulong Cha for example and appreciate the longevity that can be tricky with this sort of fragrance without making it smell synthetic then you will probably love wearing this.

This is a really uplifting freshie, reminiscent of a tall glass of iced, lemony green tea. The drydown has a subtle dash of pine-like woods, resting primarily on a bed of white, airy musk. It is really quite simple, but it has a high-end, chic character - like what a Palm Beach socialite might wear to a brunch at the Breakers Hotel. Yes, it's got an old-school classy vibe that says, "I smell grand, but I'm not even trying." On me, the pinkish rose is very, VERY minimal. I also get no sweet mandarin orange; the bright and shiny lemon/bergamot is the most prominent combo at the top followed by the heart of green tea. Amber, though listed here on Fragrantica, is also not listed on the Teo Cabanel website, and I don't smell that note whatsoever.

Hmmm being in the no-floral line I was rather positively suprised by this one. The citruses in the opening give a crispy freshnes to the rose. The tea makes it a rose with leafs also, and not only petals. Reminds me of the time when my grandmother was making rose confiture and I was helping her, sorting out buckets of rose petals with occasional leaves and bugs inside :) Finally the musk becomes more prominent, like I bathed in a very expensive rose soap. The scent is close to the skin, disceet and elegant. For those of you who likes their roses fresh and soapy instead of sweet and powdery this is definitely a good choice. Altough I won't wear it myself I will pass my sample to a very special rose addict I know :)

Reminds me a lot of this Innisfree green tea seed serum I have, which is to say Hegoa is very tea-dominant. It's also to say that it feels like the perfect post-shower scent—a quick hack to smell like you've smacked a bunch of Asian skincare on yourself with a spritz or two. Grassy and effervescent, and the rose is definitely there although in a supporting role that makes me wary to call this a 'rose fragrance'. Pour yourself a glass of iced tea, and then also a glass of rose lemonade and get sipping.
