Hegoa

Hegoa is a refreshing breeze, a wind from the South of France. The scent is dominated by brisk and clean citrus and bergamot, the heart coming through softly and after about 2 hours. The green tea gives a nice bitter balance to the rose, and I enjoy the slightly warmer, woody base. A true unisex scent, this is best worn in Spring and Summer. The bottle design is lovely and fits the scent very well. I agree that the scent sits close to the skin, but also find this very lovely when worn on a scarf. Truly keeping my head clear when working with a lot of people. Notes on the sample: (the ingredients list on fragrantica is missing the Violet) Bergamot, Lemon, Mandarin, Rose petals, Green Tea Woods, Violet, Musk and Amber Notes A scent for lovers of natural scents and highest quality ingredients. Feel the breeze, it brings memories of the sea.

Underrated brand and one of the best fragrances they do imho. Really great mix of tea, pepper and rose. Firmly unisex, the florals do not go too feminine and the pepper does not go too masculine imho. If you like the tea note from Wulong Cha for example and appreciate the longevity that can be tricky with this sort of fragrance without making it smell synthetic then you will probably love wearing this.

This is a really uplifting freshie, reminiscent of a tall glass of iced, lemony green tea. The drydown has a subtle dash of pine-like woods, resting primarily on a bed of white, airy musk. It is really quite simple, but it has a high-end, chic character - like what a Palm Beach socialite might wear to a brunch at the Breakers Hotel. Yes, it's got an old-school classy vibe that says, "I smell grand, but I'm not even trying." On me, the pinkish rose is very, VERY minimal. I also get no sweet mandarin orange; the bright and shiny lemon/bergamot is the most prominent combo at the top followed by the heart of green tea. Amber, though listed here on Fragrantica, is also not listed on the Teo Cabanel website, and I don't smell that note whatsoever.

Hmmm being in the no-floral line I was rather positively suprised by this one. The citruses in the opening give a crispy freshnes to the rose. The tea makes it a rose with leafs also, and not only petals. Reminds me of the time when my grandmother was making rose confiture and I was helping her, sorting out buckets of rose petals with occasional leaves and bugs inside :) Finally the musk becomes more prominent, like I bathed in a very expensive rose soap. The scent is close to the skin, disceet and elegant. For those of you who likes their roses fresh and soapy instead of sweet and powdery this is definitely a good choice. Altough I won't wear it myself I will pass my sample to a very special rose addict I know :)

Reminds me a lot of this Innisfree green tea seed serum I have, which is to say Hegoa is very tea-dominant. It's also to say that it feels like the perfect post-shower scent—a quick hack to smell like you've smacked a bunch of Asian skincare on yourself with a spritz or two. Grassy and effervescent, and the rose is definitely there although in a supporting role that makes me wary to call this a 'rose fragrance'. Pour yourself a glass of iced tea, and then also a glass of rose lemonade and get sipping.

i was looking for a spring summer scent which can be used especially after my yoga sessions. thanks to the teo cabanel sample kit i was/am able to try this hegoa. on my wrist it smells like, hmmm, citrusy fresh with a teeny tiny rosy scent - am glad the musk isn't that overpowering at all...otherwise i can't stand it with an empty stomach. it's a neat feminine scent which refreshes me in such a way that i don't smell like (baby) wipes. by the way i like the bottle too, clean and spring-ly.

Yaaaaay I finally found a Teo Cabanel I actually like!! But possibly only because it smells a lot like one of my favorite casual daytime scents: Bellissima by Blumarine. It has a very soft silage and the staying power is decent but it is very soft all the way... A bit of a soft citrussy rosy musky woody thing... Just like Bellissima ;) So: nice.

A breezy fragrance for gloomy days. I somehow think of the seaside when wearing it. Hegoa is a beautiful blend of citrus, rose and woody undertones that give it a slightly bitter nuance. Longevity is rather poor, but better than some other fragrances from the brand.

Nice, fresh, soft daytime scent. The tea note is dominant on my skin - the opening reminded me a lot of Bvlgari tea line. This green tea gave a place to fresh rose only after an hour and it was really pleasant... BUT the whole scent disappeared after 2 hours...

Citrus and tea, filed under easy to wear. I’m also picking up the musk note in the dry down, as expected. This has a calming effect, similar to that feeling you get right after a massage. Stress relief in a bottle.

Slightly heavier than Elizabeth Arden green tea, maybe those rose & woods notes. Longer lasting too. But they’re almost identical to me, this could be easily pass as the Eau de Parfum version of EA green tea.

lots and lots of tea with rose and some citrus and musk; a well-done tea fragrance but you have to be a tea fragrance lover, which I am not

It says edt but it must be a cologne. A lovely dry tea and rose scent. Actually the tea note rules. Lovely but the usual weak scent.

Hegoa is a watery, aldehydic scent, pink in my mind. On me, it's dominated by pink pepper and tea. Linear and a little melancholic, like thinking back in time. I can't say Hegoa is citric. On me, the notes that are probably meant to be citrus fruits are sharper and deeper than that – pink pepper.

Citruses, tea, rose, and musk is what I smell. Very weak on my skin and not memorable.

Hegoa is such a pretty and uplifting fragrance. The green tea in the opening is brightened with a spray of citrusy zest, and falls in perfect harmony with the rosy heart of the fragrance. To me this scent is rejuvenating and smells like expensive face cream, I could see myself spritzing this on in the morning after my Fajr prayers, this is a great scent to welcome the dawn. It is an EDT and behaves as such, so the longevity isn’t incredible but I don’t expect it to be. I love this because it fills a role that has been vacant for sometime, I often want a reviving burst of fragrances but I’m not a fan of most body mists because they just seem so underdeveloped, that’s where Hegoa steps in. I don’t like to compromise on structure and composition and thankfully Hegoa is crafted with care and the tea and rose combination is just so classy. Big love for me!

100% unisex, it is a fresh and clean perfume, perfect for summer. I smell a lot lemon, bergamote and green tea; it is not so original but it works. I do not smell roses (all the people have different perception). The sillage and longevity are correct for an "Eau de Toilette". 7/10 I will wear it during summer/hot days, perfect for holidays, office, etc

Fresh lemon, grassy, limes, and more citrus with some sparkling effect that the citrus is drenched within. Something fresh to fulfill the thirst after heavy, sweaty, work or maybe a day at the beach! as the tea later comes to sour the blend slightly. Mild, citrusy, and thirst crusher. Good for the hot summer steamy days.

Simple yet intriguing. The green tea is a hint peppery and a hint aquatic to my nose, the lemon and bergamot balance it out beautifully. Its pleasant, relaxing quality make it a good summertime work scent as I can’t imagine anyone being offended by this freshie. Definitely unisex.

A few citrus notes at the beginning that dissapear quickly. The main scent notes I get are green tea and rose. Fresh and watery. Doesn't last as long as other teo cabanel perfumes I have tried but this is EDT rather than EDP so it makes sense it doesn't last as long.

Lovely, simple, wearable, refreshing, clean. Beautiful summer frag, I don't get much rose. Not overly citrussy, very tea dominant but fresh. Seems to last well! Especially the tea musk aspects. ** 200+ UK samples for swap - get in touch, scents in my custom shelf! **

Ooh ok I’m trying this out again since my last review a year ago and the pepper smells wayyyyy more prominent on my skin. Like overpowering pepper with citrus and green tea in the background. Skin chemistry is wild.
