Gorgeous fragrance. It is quiete hard to compare it to other scents. There are some notes and accords that you would find in other offerings (I pick up Chanel no 5, Purple Oud, MFK Oud... but don't take my word for it) but as a whole package, this is really unique. For me it is combination of soapiness and light oudiness with leather. When you read the story behind the scent on Teo Cabanel's website, you will get what they were going for. I would describe the scent in this way. Imagine a cellar or garage. There are motor oils, rusty tools, damp wood cabinets and heavily used working leather gloves. There is also a door into a laundry. You smell the soaps and fresh clothes. This is not just some mental exercise. I know this kind of space and the resemblance is uncanny. It is a symphony of a scent. Daring, can be a bit animalic at times, but it is still clean and elegant. I used it in the summer and it was holding up pretty well, but it will be much more appropriate in other seasons. If you want to try something different or you just like fresh, clean leathers/ouds, this might be scent for you.

Kasar starts for me as a smokey fireplace scent that slowly shifts to the side after 5 to 10 min and reveals a very breezy, femine and erotic scent. It is male and female at once. The smokey note totally disappears after latest 30 min and you are left with a very mystical, grounding but also airy, sweet scent. Absolutely fascinated by the layering of this creation. In my eyes for a sure a female scent for a nature woman with great grounding and connection to the country side and its lifestyle that can easily shift into a city girl with great lightness. Often leather and oud are too much on my skin but this works beautifully. This is a cool weather scent. The leather, oud and saffron are almost as strong as each other. I like the kick from the bergamot, bright geranium. They stop it getting too heavy. The clove and cinnamon adds a little spicy accent. The cistus provides some resinous warmth. Well, you have probably guessed by now that I'm female. Yep, I will stick my neck out and say it's unisex. I didn't even look at what gender this was aimed at. There are plenty of wood notes that stop it getting too strong. I get good longevity and sillage. One of the few TC scents that really lasts.

Although it's not listed in the notes, I get a whiff of camphor in the opening, this settles after a few seconds, blending really well with oud and the other woodsy notes and spices. The citrusy notes are difficult for me to find here. Oriental, mysterious, comforting, embracing, seductive. It reminds me of 'Sohan' by Penhaligons, another fragrance I oddly like!. Price-wise, Kasar is way more reasonable. This fragrance is marketed for men, but honestly, I think it's 100% unisex. As a woman, I love it. I keep on smelling my wrist, quite addictive. Beautiful.

It's a leather scent (im usually not much of a fan of strong leather) but I love it. Not overpowering and kinda addictive! It is a beautiful blend of leather, oud, saffron and spices. I would recommend this if you want to start getting into leather (but usually don't like it) because this is just *chefs kiss*

It has a gloomy and grim vibe. Never experienced this with a perfume before.

فکر میکنید حوصله نمایش بازی های طولانی نت های یک عطر رو داشته باشید یا به روایح فضای عربی و تا حدی معنوی علاقه دارید؟ .اگر نه همین الان بک بزن و برو . اما اگر طرفدار فضای ارینتال و عربی هستید . این عطر کیسر یکی از دل انگیز ترین این ترکیباته . شروعی پرقدرت و جدی از نمایش عود که بشدت چرک و انیمالیکه واقعا دلرباست این استارت . ولی صبر کنید . کمتر از نیم ساعت ورق برمیگرده و حس انیمالیک خیلی کم میشه و جاشو با زعفرون عوض می‌کنه . اینجا حالا تو قلب عطر عود هست با زعفرون . متاسفانه زعفرون ساختار سنتی داره و از سافرالین خبری نیست بیشتر بوی شربت زعفرون حس میشه . این همه ماجرا نیست چون تو ترکیبات این عطر بشدت رز هم حس میشه که بدجوری می‌ره تو معنویات و الهییات. نقطه عطف این عطر رو باید صمغ لابدانوم دونست .گرچه فضای شرقی و عربی داره ولی دیگه اجازه نمی‌دهد خیلی حس حرمی پیدا کنه .شاید یکی دو ساعت زمان لازم داره که بعد از پشت سر گذاشتن این حس و احوال و فضای کمی صابون مانند بواسطه اسپایسها . به یک جمع بندی نهایی رسید . اینجا بعد از دو ساعت زیبایی عطر محرز میشه در نهایت کیفییت و جذابییت فضای شرقی عودی و کمی چرک با بن مایه امبری بسیار لوکس و اعیانی میشه . که تا ساعتها پایداره . روند بازی عطر خیلی کند و طولانیه ولی ارزششو داره . بنظرم این عطر اگه زعفرون نمی‌داشت بسیار عالی میشد کمااینکه تو قلب عطر خیلی حس شربتی و مسجدی و حرمی داشت . ولی در درای داون به یک کمپلکسی اشرافی و گرون تبدیل میشه . ماندگاری و کیفییت بسیار خوبی داره . فقط خیلی عربیه . ...

Really lovely. Starts out as a dry and spicy leather with a slightly medicinal oud, maybe due to the saffron. It’s a fragrance that develops a lot, and remains interesting yet wearable in all its stages. After a couple of hours, it has a lived-in skin scent that I really adore. It’s animalic, yet soft and with a musky powderiness. To me, it’s reminiscent of something Francesca Bianchi might have created, but less challenging. I would consider it a good gateway leather/oud combo for those who are interested, but fear being overwhelmed. The scent stays quite close to the skin, and isn’t overpowering. While its’ marketed towards men and leans masculine, and I suppose I can understand why some people might find it mature, as a woman in her twenties I’m quite happy to wear this. If you like leather, you like leather, and I’d consider it perfectly unisex.

on me, kasar brings me back 40 years and wearing habit rouge. only kasar is habit rouge with hair on its chest. definitely more mature and intense. i am not sure if without the nostalgia i would like it as much. there is a sweetness that i am not used to since my palette has gone darker and spicier. it is clean like a freshly scrubbed cadet with a hint of tooth paste and hair gel. there is a ghost of shalimar lurking way in the back-- maybe grandma kissed him and held him real tight before saying good bye. it is heading out of the locker room and definitely not into the bedroom. i like it, but not the way i like other scents.

i guess i got my bottle in 2020, there still is about 1/3rd left. in rereading my old review, i agree with the basics but have come to enjoy wearing it a bit more. to me the dominant mood is floral/spicey. memories of habit rouge still linger. it is distinct and distinguishing. seems fitting for mature male and maybe too much on the spice side for some. ok for office or dress-up in an alpha male way.

Leather and oud, with a sweet citrus opening that goes to musk and cedar. The saffron and other spices are also quite prominent, but in a very complementary way. A really high quality offering from Teo Cabanel that delivers on oud, but doesn’t get dominated by it. Kasar is a lovely leather fragrance that lasts forever.

Wow, this is truly Oriental! A blast of leather, but not the heavy (and rather unpleasant to my nose) just out the tannery type, a hint of spices... A sweetened patchouly drydown. Surprisingly, I enjoyed this very much. It's also pretty long-lasting.

Spot on Tom Ford Ombre Leather, a little bit Falcon Leather also. Opening is synthetic but drydown is pretty refined buttery leather. This is rather nice and a bit more affordable than TF or Matiere Premiere.

For leather lover, more for a mature man. This perfume is potent and bold, more for fall and winter. Not so compatible for work, more for night. 5/10

I like the opening, but the dry down is too soapy for my taste. I love the notes but cannot smell any cinnamon at all, which is a shame.

Oud here is just for commercial purpose, I don’t detect any Oud note.

I made the mistake of trying a sample of this today. One small spray smelled like burned rubber chemicals on my skin... I immediately scrubbed it off and layered Cloud over the top of it to tame it. Not one that I'd purchase sadly.

Leathery, oily, acidic oud with an animalic quality. Not cheap-smelling but not my style either. Quite masculine and suited to someone with a large presence who can carry off animalic spicy scents.

Wow I don't think I ever reacted to a fragrance as badly as to this one. It is a super heavy, very strong, mostly patchouli scent. It has a horrible animalistic, toilet-like smell. I really couldn't handle even having the tester in the room anymore after spraying it once. I can't imagine who this fragrance would suit.

Unfortunately, the leather note in this comes off as too animalic to me. I had to throw away the sample (after a couple paper tests, to give it at least 3 chances.) All I got was the traditionally processed (with animal excrement) leather.

Stinky leather, stinky oud, very animalic and barely any sweetness to balance it out. Absolutely not my style of perfumery. The quality is not bad, but the scent profile is an absolute miss. Can't do so oriental scents it seems.

In my opinion, this is one of my personal favorites from their complete lineup of 10 fragrances. It has the dominant note of Leather which is one of my favorites. Of course, followed by Oud, and other woody & spicy notes like cinnamon & saffron. In addition, that rose accord up top makes it more mysterious. Kasar, in my opinion, is very masculine, bold, long-lasting and smells like sophistication in a bottle. With such scent profile, it's very hard to go wrong. If you like leather and warm spicy scents, you won't be disappointed!

I first thought it was vintage, heavy, bad. I sprayed it in my bathroom at night, just in order to finish my sample stash, and when I came back the day after, the lingering scent was absolutely beautiful! Still strong and masculine but with an aromatic lovely rosy touch. Something pleasing and elegant that would be stunning on a manly man!

Didn’t realize this was a for men before spritzing on. It’s a lovely masculine “basic bro” scent. Really reminds me of vintage Shalimar for some reason. The scent dries down quickly and becomes a skin scent in an hour. It comes on like a lion and super vintage but goes out like a lamb.

I don't understand why it's marketed towards men because I feel it is gender-neutral. Also, I haven't really noticed anyone talking about this one which is a shame because it's really quite beautiful. Vintage, bold and elegant. Old money.

This is Creed Aventus with a prominent leather note; in the opening. It’s a no for me ‘cos it smells very masculine. It has prominent notes of Oud and leather

The correct notes: Top: Bergamot. Heart: Geranium, cloves, cinnamon and saffron. Base: Patchouly, cedarwood, oud, cistus, leather and musk.
