Oh Là Là

I finally got a full bottle since they started selling teo cabanel perfumes in a store here, which means i can go in depth with my thoughts Yes, this is a gorgeous nutty iris with a creamy powdery buttery sandalwood. The tobacco leaf adds a ‘pale brown’ feel to the scent, it doesnt weigh it down or make it darker in any way. Its a very pale scent, indeed the color of hazelnut paste (without the cocoa). Yet, it contains no sweetness or stickiness. Its not a plush type of powdery (like heliotrope), it is a pressed powder that you smear onto skin. I dont necessarily detect saffron, so this perfume definitely doesnt smell warm spicy. Maybe it adds a dustiness, as i own another saffron - iris perfume that has a similar dusty feel. It is the most cozy fall perfume i have ever smelled. It doesnt smell like a tk maxx pumpkin spice candle at all, it is very unique in this genre. It smells delicious and edible but not truly gourmand. Normally, this compliment is a bit degrading for a full price perfume, but this would also function perfectly as a room spray. Its a smell that would make your room smell cozy and warm without adding any heft. Luckily teo cabanel has a candle that smells exactly like this (sandalwood iris i believe) so i can burn it in my room without having to waste this beautiful perfume. In certain moments during the drydown, the perfume becomes less dusty and more clean/fresh. Not in a shampoo or cleaning product way, more in a sunny way. Still, i dont think this perfume is suited for daily all year round wear. I wouldnt want to smell like this in the heat of summer or a nice spring day. Its genuinely perfect for fall and winter if you hate heavy spicy smells. Theres not much else i can say. Its not a 10/10 for me, but thats because of its simplicity. Thats not negative though, 10/10s are rare and not everything has to be a 10/10. So i give it a 8.5/10.

I came across it by following Patrice Revillard's creations. I got a sample and spend about a month with it and got the bottle now. I just read some of the reviews which are surprisingly rejective of this design. To me it feels like a constant shape shifter. One minute you are a man, tobacco and earth after rain hits you but then the layer shifts to the side and a very feminine, flowerlike, fragile scent fills the room to be pushed to the side by the heaviness of earth and smoke. It is a constant pull back and forth which I assume confuses some people. I truly enjoy it. It is very exciting to me as I never know to which side the next sniff will lead me. I can see though how somebody could get a headache or run for the woods as it really really claims the space and all of your attention. I am always careful with the amount I choose to apply any fragrance as the harassment of a scent starts quickly for me if I am not careful. I am still trying to figure it the individual balance each scent requests to be perceived and "heard" fully without the overwhelming, forceful imbalance of " too much of the good". I like it and will play around with it with tiny dosages. Thank you. *I am new to the world of scents, I have a good nose, great insides but still learning the right words for it. Stay with me (: *

I found a 1oz of this on mecari (the only one that was for sale) and it’s sold out everywhere and I got lucky. Wow. I love this Ohh La La. It reminds me of an authentic leather handbag in an upscale department store like dillards, Nordstrom, ect. This is a skin scent, but a beautiful one. I can smell a dust of hazelnut with tobacco on top of a base of orris and musk. It truly is beautiful and honestly unisex. Female or male could pull this off. If you’re looking for a beast mode fragrance, this is not what you want. This is a more intimate, close up, every day signature scent. I would love to be remembered by this fragrance. I own glossier you and as I do see the resemblance, I like this one better. It has more character and more interesting. I’m a sucker for orris, and I can smell the orris on top of the musky base. I smell hazelnut and tobacco initially, but the tobacco is well blended and not super noticeable. This reminds me of a sexy encounter to be honest. The way your skin smells after “doing the deed” that musky sweet pheromone smell? Maybe I’m off, but nevertheless I’m so glad I was able to get this! She is staying in my collection! I have noticed something about Teo Cabanel fragrances. The first sniff is usually okay but not earth shattering. When I try it again, something clicks and I fall in love. Oh Là Là is no exception. In fact, it has become one of my top three fragrances from this collection, along with Et Voila and Rendez-Vous. My favorite and the most prominent note in Oh Là Là is sandalwood. Musk is a close second. It is absolutely gorgeous, warm, and cozy without being too in-your-face and heavy. I’m currently wearing Oh Là Là on a cool rainy day, which seems to be the perfect setting for this perfume. In my opinion Oh Là Là is extremely unisex. It wears beautifully on my husband’s skin as well as mine. It’s always fun (and cost effective) when you can share a bottle. The fragrance lasts most of the day on my skin as well, especially when I moisturize first. Oh Là Là has earned my affection and will be a part of my fragrance collection for years to come. If you pick up a sample, remember to give it a few tries before forming an opinion. Hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much as I do.

I got this added to my Cafe Cabanel order just so I could get free shipping. And wow I love it. I actually prefer it to Cafe Cabanel. That one was much too spicy for me and not enough coffee. This one sits much closer to the skin but I would say has moderate projection and longevity. It's a smooth suede with musks and a bit sweet because of the vanilla. I don't clearly get a tobacco note but it's a bit smoky but just a tiny bit. It's become an easy reach for me for casual weekends. And it's become my gym scent which I didn't even believe in having a gym scent to begin with! (I didn't believe in going to the gym but that's a different story.) It makes working out smell so good without bothering anyone with strong florals and such. I even got 1 compliment from myself. LOL but seriously the magic happens when it mixes with your chemistry and body heat.

I have had this for a few months and to be honest it was love at first sniff. There may be similar perfumes but for me it was quite unusual and unique, but very wearable at the same time. I think I read a review where someone said it felt more « urban » than natural. That’s exactly how I felt. I’ve been very much into Parfum d’Empire recently, which is a brand that celebrates nature and raw elements in its purest way. When I smelled Oh la la I said it smelled like a « shopping afternoon in a big town ». It’ s quite similar to Animalique from Byredo (without the flowers and for a much better price), or Clean Suede from ELO (without the suede and with more gourmand notes). It’s a very cosy scent, young and joyful like the rest from this brand. Probably the best from Teo Cabanel.

I went from wanting to return this to loving it. It’s a comforting fragrance, I can’t for the life of me, pick up any tobacco in this. I just get a beautiful Iris dominant, musky vanilla with a milky effect, almost like almond milk due to its nuttiness. I gather this is from the hazelnut. It can be worn by anyone. I thought the sillage & projection was short lived upon my first wear ( in my home- I was also getting over a cold) but I wore it a few time after and was stopped every single time to ask what I was wearing & told that it smells so good. It’s so good for Fall/winter but can’t speak for warmer weather.

A blissful cozy, clean, slightly industrial smell. It does remind me of the interior of a new, expensive car. That's why I classify this as a clean perfume. It's clean, but not the soapy, bubble bath, cotton type of clean. It's clean in its own unique way. It's the only perfume I smelled that fits the "clean girl" aesthetic without being mainstream and predictable. It's a perfume that can be worn with a sleek, polished, sports outfit on a walk around the city. Not at the gym though, as it could be too strong. But a polished "that girl" outfit on a hot girl walk. Definitely not a blind buy! I love mine 10/10 <3

This scent is so intriguing. I can't stop smelling myself. There is something so nostalgic about this scent to me, and I can't quite put my finger on exactly why. I am really enjoying this perfume. It is warm, but something about it reminds me of that scent in the air after a summer rain, not 'fresh' but more like hot asphalt when it rains. I mean this in only the BEST way possible. It is a unique, nostalgic scent.. perfect on a rainy summer day. I kind of love this one. My son says this one smells a bit like cinnamon on me, and my hubby says it is lovely. So a win-win in my house!

Alright, I've officially drained my sample of this, and I think it's time to pony up. I have spent months trying to convince myself that this fragrance is out of my wheelhouse: it's too woody, too masculine, too dry for me, a lover of syrupy sweet gourmands and fruity florals. And yet - AND YET - I cannot get enough of it. There is something so wonderfully inviting and intimate about it, almost cozy. Like a bonfire on the beach, without the smoke, or a cozy chair in a library full of old books, without the leather. I'm still not sure if I totally pull it off, but I want to try!

Initial spray and I got it. Boom. I am transported to the time when I was a kid and my mum, aunties and every grown lady in my family would gather. They would give this little boy kisses, leaving lipstick stains on his face. It smells exactly like Teo Cabanel’s Oh Là Là. As I delve deeper into this fragrance, I am in awe with how everything is blended together. Yes, I got hazelnut right after it lands on my skin, but it quickly turns into this airy lipstick-y scent. It is very unique because of that and I love it. I can’t talk more about notes because I am baffled.

What a beauty! - I got the Teo Cabanel discovery set, 30 euros, 14 samples and a voucher for 30 euros to use on any full bottle (including the 30ml bottles) great deal! used the voucher to purchase a 30ml of Oh La La. I love it, it is warming, soft, manly hazelnut-iris-tobacco scent. In a strange way it reminds me of some wet paper smell, in a good way. Performance is average. People like it but they don't actively comment on it. For the deal I got using the voucher, I am very happy with this! can recommend it!

Oh my goodness!! This is roll-my-eyes-back good!! It’s Barbie/doll head smell but in the most powdery beautiful way. The musky quality perfectly juxtaposes the powdery dry vanilla scent and makes it sooo comforting and seductive... I love the buttery Iris in this! So creamy and smooth. And I also get a very green fresh airy tobacco scent. Nothing smoky but light and green and airy. It reminds me slightly of the tobacco note in Versace Dreamer.

Creamy, nutty, powdery sandalwood. If I have to pick a signature scent, this is it. Not because it's the best thing I've ever tried, but it's just such an easy reach for me. Comforting, not too loud but still interesting enough for me to wear on a regular basis without getting bored. I find the powderiness and nuttiness perfectly balanced and really enjoy how the hazelnut is obviously there without ever really being gourmand.

I get compliments literally every time I wear this. It's sweet and creamy, warm and cuddly, but the saffron gives it a hint of something smoky and savoury. I also find it kind of casual - the kind of fragrance you can wear with jeans and a sweater and not seem like you're trying too hard. This is rapidly becoming one of my absolute favourites

This is a predominantly lipsticky, creamy orris scent with a sweet and whispy tobacco smoke. It’s paired with a heavy dose of dry hazelnuts and sandalwood all wrapped in an effortless smokiness that never feels too heavy. Such an odd pairing of notes that works so well beautifully together. Silky, smoky, slightly sweet, nutty, warm, and rich.

Oddly enough, this really reminds me of Bvlgari Black, or at least my scent memory of it, because it's been a while since I have sniffed that one. I was sure there must be some rubber or leather or both in here. Very nice! Somewhat similar DNA to Deja Vu in my opinion, but this one is more wearable and more unisex/masc. Sexy.

This is a “safer” YSL Babycat in my opinion. Babycat can get really leathery and smell musty fast where as this has just a hint of leather. Quite nice, I prefer this one. That said, I do tend to like more subtle fragrances so if you are looking for a leather bomb, this ain’t it! Very unisex. Reminds me of an old library.

Weirdly adorable and addictive, this is such a cozy autumnal scent. It feels urban rather than nature-inspired, yet it still brings a sense of calm and peace. Somehow both grounding and comforting, it wraps around you in a quietly soothing way. And yes, it does smell like a carpet store and I love it.

My favorite of the sample set - I have a full bottle on the way. It is an intimate, powdery and woody fragrance. It feels cozy and sophisticated and slightly sweet. I get a little bit of the nutty, woody side in the dry down. A lovely experience and one a my favorites to reach for.
