Très French

Utterly feminine and as it says, soo french, is how I would define this recommendable fragrance. I discovered Teo Cabanel and my fascination for the brand through the three new launches, five shortly, Les Expressions Parfumées, was immediately, fragrances carried out with the highest quality and symphony between its notes, something totally out of the ordinary and at the same time very wearable!. Très French is exceptional, it opens with a happy, natural and contemporary lily accord, the bright pear refreshes and It softens the floral appearance and the musk sublimates the base notes, in all for emphasizes a very modern and mainly French floral character, with a sweet and tenderness edge, optimal duration and projection. Teo Cabanel has perfectly known how to offer something new and different, Oh là là is an almond iris with refined tobacco and Je ne sais quoi like a perfect Chai latte tea. The coming news are something captivating !!, Rendez Vous, my next purchase!! the same style as Très French, also very feminine with creamy mimosa - violet and almond, finally Et Volià a very crystalline floral aldehyde !!, other favourite. Really perfect!!.

Très French is a ripe and juicy Bosc pear, just purchased at the farmer's market. The initial spray is a burst of peony but it quickly dries down to a very realistic interpretation of a sweet pear. This is a fresh and playful summer weekend scent. It leans more feminine but who cares. Wear what brings you joy! In my mind, the person who dons this fragrance also enjoys wearing seersucker fabrics, riding cruiser bicycles (or maybe a tandem), and picnicking...so, me (and perhaps you too). I compared Très French to the other pear fragrance I own, Pear Inc. by Juliette Has a Gun. Très French wins, hands down. Pear Inc. is an amusing fragrance but it comes across as slightly synthetic, youthful, and sweet. Très French is longer lasting, grown up and realistic. The fragrance isn't groundbreaking but sometimes there is beauty in simplicity.

Amazing spring flowers bouquet: fresh and green lilac, slightly powdery mimosa and watery lily-of-the-valley. Some of them are not listed but I can definitely smell them. Base is soft and musky and also quite sweet (honeyed) but not overpowering. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

Yes, Diorissimo, but Diorissimo Spring. All the lily, all the light notes, very light hand on the wood/funk. This is gorgeous! And I say that loving Diorissimo (in fact, a HG frag for me).

opening was lovely. juiiiiiicy fresh pear for 30(?+ish) minutes which i was obsessed with. dry-down was nice: fresh floral but less interesting & enticing.

I recognize the quality in this perfume. A green and creamy fragrance, with soft floral touches centered on the lily of the valley note, and a fruity and sweet touch that gives it the most addictive and pleasant touch. This is a fairly classic scent, nothing to break the mold or try to be especially original, but well built and with a pretty good performance for the type of perfume it is. It is a fresh and versatile perfume, ideal for spring or summer days, which does not interfere at all with daily activities. However, it is a type of aroma that Ami personally does not quite captivate me. Therefore, although the sample that I have, I will use it with pleasure and I understand that there are people who may fall in love with it, I will continue searching the Teo Cabanel collection to see if I find something that suits me more. Very nice floral, lily of the valley type of a perfume. It is my 3rd favorite after Et Voila and Oh la la from Teo Cabanel. Good for the spring and summer. Yes, it smells a bit like the Miu Miu but also different a bit. Performance is good. Tip: Layer it on top of Montale Aoud Violet, smells really good

For white flower lovers (lily), this perfume is nice for summer. Very fresh, I can imagine a delicate woman. I smell white flowers and pear, very well blended. 7/10 for summer

This is a very sophisticated, clean linen scent. It is very floral, but has a soapy freshness to it that is intoxicating. Very wearable. Perfect for a cold but sunny day.

Sharp white floral, a bit green, dries down milking and would be lovely in the summer. Not the most original thing in the world but it is pretty.

Smells Dior like. A good French like perfume if you are a bit scared of those but want to like one anyway.

Instantly reminded me of wild bluebell Joe Malone but a lot stronger and a little screechy..

The initial opening was a really nasty burst of the peony that was "old lady and mothballs" bad. I decided to wait thru this for a bit to just be fair and I'm glad I did. The drydown cleans out to a lightly fruity and floral blend. It doesn't really get into a higher end level of quality but the frag will have those who really like it. I'm not a big fan but the drydown makes it almost worth buying.

This is a white flower mashup that reminds me of Amouage Honour, which also smells a little of banana. This also has a very nice pear note and it's super tropical. I don't feel I can review it properly in this weather but I wish the perfumers had been a bit more thoughtful about the white florals. I feel they are all so similar these past few years.

Pear, lily of the valley and musk. The opening is very sharp and slightly plastic/rubbery. It gets better after the opening though. Overall, Très French is a soapy sweet pear with white flowers. Feels like a nice soap in my grandma’s bathroom. Nothing wrong with that if it’s your vibe, but considering that , it’s a bit overpriced.

The opening smelled like pears, and then quickly reverted to nothing but white floral. I was also picking up a slight rubbery scent, but not as overwhelming as some here mention. This scent is fresh and pleasant, but really nothing to write home about IMO. Smells almost a bit generic and sterile to me, like a pear shampoo.

Got this as a free sample with my purchase of another frag of theirs, Oh La La. This one isn't bad, very inoffensive/office-safe. But it's nothing special. Smells like a bunch of other pear/fruity floral frags that are out there. I's pleasant and projection is average. Wouldn't go out of my way to buy a full bottle!

This is like the Macdonalds version of Diorissimo, screechy, scratchy, synthetic and cheap-smelling. Cavatina does this way better for a modern interpretation of Diorissimo. This one smells crass and irritating.

It just eidnt smell like much of anything. I did smell a weak white floral which dissapeared quickly. On my skin it didnt last long, expected more and didnt smell the pear for some reason

I spent fifteen years in the restaurant industry, and one word baffled me for ages: "Unbalanced". It's the word most commonly used by both chefs, sommeliers and maître d's when they are served a dish they do not find up to par. And although I always understood the meaning of the word, I didn't always agree that an unbalanced dish is a bad dish. It you crave something very spicy, or something very sweet, or something very bitter, surely a very spicy, sweet, or bitter dish will be delicious? The point is that, although the first few mouthfuls of that very spicy, sweet, or bitter food will indeed be delicious, it'll satisfy your craving far too quickly. A balanced dish, however, will leave you wanting another bite, another sip of wine, and then, hopefully, another course. So, what has this got to do with Très French? Well, it's unbalanced! It's pretty. Spring-like, summery, sunny, happy, floral, romantic. What it lacks is something ugly to make it interesting.

Teo Cabanel Discovery Kit 5/14 Tres French | I didn't know what lily-of-the-valley/ muguet smelled like until recently when I smelled Dior's Lucky. (Such a cute name, I almost bought it solely for that.) If I can be honest, experiencing Tres French after that is a disappointment by comparison. Lucky felt smooth, soft, and round. Tres French feels pretty, but thin and tinny. It's like listening to a nice song on a bad speaker. (And on an entirely separate note, the name Tres French is a little tacky. It's 2023 and I think we're past the era of francophilia.)

The initial impression is of a rubber band. Very potent and pretty unpleasant. Then, the florals start showing themselves but still on a background of rubbery unpleasantness which takes a few minutes to fade away. After it's almost gone, the metallic notes of the florals start dominating the scent - which is something I've noticed with other fragrances so it might have something to do with my own skin's chemistry. It's a rather sharp fragrance and I can't say I can see myself wearing it...

The opening smells like the rubber soles of my trainers I got when I was 10. I loved those shoes so much I still remember the smell. I'm so glad someone else noticed the rubber accent here @MaquiLab. I don't think pear and lily of the valley mix well, especially with the solar notes as background. The outcome is a really artificial, rubbery/plasticy mess. I guess I'm not French enough to be wearing Tres French!

I see that others have said the opening smells like plastic or rubber to them. To me, it smells like a nauseating gasoline, and while it's strongest in the opening, I still smell it with the dry down. I normally really enjoy simple florals, but whatever that off-putting note is, I can't get passed it here, unfortunately.

Usually i love white florals, but this has such a short life span that it is not worth it for anyone. It lasted less than an hour on my skin. Normally i spray four times for testing, this i sprayed closer to ten times, and it still faded within an hour. Really dissapointing.

Oof this is a big miss for me. Opening is horrible and sharp and piercing. And I can't get past it and ignore it. Am currently waiting for it to dry down and develop on my arm. It has got a plastic-type smell, as I see others here have noted. Am sad about this one because the notes sounded interesting. I now have 2 samples that I cannot wear through. Please don't blind buy this. Get the tester kit from the brand first. They have much better fragrances than this. Edit: I have hastily sprayed through my 2 samples to clear them out of my "to test" sample assortment. Sprayed them onto freshly washed and dried towels, and folded them up to store in my linen cupboard. That was a nice use of the fragrance, as it has given the cupboard and towels a nice scent.

Very floral and green. The second one I didn't like from their collection, only because the Peony/Jasmine/Lily combination is very strong for my personal tastes

I agree with @DiscoPolga, the opening smells like rubber/plastic... quite off-putting to be honest. This fragrance would have been a success if it had either pear OR lily of the vally, not both. The only perfume house that's been able to master and replicate the true scent of lily of the valley is Dior with their unforgettable masterpiece > 'Diorissimo', the one and only lily-of-the-valley fragrance that will sweep you off your feet. Sadly, the word that comes to mind when I smell Très French is: 'dishevelled' :-( This is an odd one to me. Don't get me wrong, it's not disgusting... but it's not pleasant either. Pass.

The pear note at the tops is nice and fresh and juicy but it is over powered by this 80s 90s floral cocktail nauseating smell. To me it smells exactly like True Love by Elizabeth Arden. Another scent that smells nauseating to me. If you are looking for a modern musky lily of the valley scent try Narcisco Rodriguez rouge EDT (not the edp). That one has one of the best lily of the valleys I’ve ever smelled. And this is coming from someone who dislikes muguet.

I had very high expectations for this, but it's quite indolic to me. I hadn't quite found a flowery perfume that gave me that funky flower smell quite this strongly, now I have. I agree with comments below that the dry down is quite pleasant. But I won't endure the opening just to get to the dry down. From this house, my absolute favorite is Et Voila, a beautiful sharp clean and aldehydic perfume, 100 % full bottle worthy. Not this one for me I'm afraid.

Oh i love love love a nice pear note. Coupled with peony and bomb! solarn notes and citrusses add to this really nicely, and gorgeous resinous sandalwood base. Not getting the lily, or at least not how I am familiar with it, however, it has that fresh floral scent to it. Musky here is just a whipped up powderiness. I agree with @supersaiyan. My first note was exactly the same: 'Sharp white floral' that opens. Jasmine or honeysuckle? The sharpness is likened to leafy greeness, which is a signature scent trait of lily-of-the-valley that is listed in the note breakdown. This floral is light enough for hot summer nights and heavy enough for cooler autumnal days.

The whole composition remains at a standstill. It is as if I'd sprayed it on paper and not my skin. Not sure exactly what a lily of the valley smells like, and I've smelled it before in many fragrances. One thing I know it is NOT the jasmine—screechy as heck!

This is what I have to say after 2 hours wear: I dislike the opening, it's a lily of the valley / jasmine fiesta. But the drydown i really like. Still flowery but creamy and slightly powdery, replacing the screechy opening. Very intimate in projection.

Peony and juicy, mouthwatering pear. Nice, a good quality summer and spring scent that lasts well and projects a moderate amount but nothing unique. I prefer other offerings from this brand.

My second favourite from the discovery set after Je Ne Sais Quoi. Interesting solar lily scent but I'm not sure I'd invest in a full bottle.

This is a nice green floral scent. I get lily of the valley, musk and something sweet (I guess it’s the pear 🍐).
