Ingénue

As you might have read from my previous Terres Dorées reviews, I find this house to be the master of creating modern and original takes on soapy spa smells. Ingénue is no exception, it's another dreamy smell of a luxurious bar soap in a high end hotel - soft, delicate and clean. Definitely the smell of innocence. A perfect fragrance to wear after shower or in the office. Just like Terres Dorées Byzance, I find also Ingénue to be so well blended that I don't detect many individual notes. The ylang-ylang accord is definitely similar to the one in Byzance but Ingénue is easier to wear for sure because it's less complex and overally more floral, like a bouquet of white and yellow flowers. I can also pick a lot of saffron, creamy woods and a some kind of fluffy musky accord even though musk isn't listed. I would say that Ingénue is the less polarizing innocent little sister of Byzance, multilayered but not too peculiar. Modern, refined, classy. It's white and bright but the brightness isn't like direct sunshine, it's more like the brightness of a delicate fluffy veil of clouds that lets a few sunrays pass. Perfect for anyone who is searching for a lovely everyday fragrance that is also unique at the same time and doesn't fall into the category of generic or boring.
