Bleu Paradis

This is such a special fragrance to me. My signature scent for the last two years. I see that the reviewes are quite mixed, so I guess this might be a tricky fragrance, but at least on my body chemistry it works great. The compliments I've got on this scent are too many to count. It is a bit of a strange hybrid between a very light and fruity floral daytime fragrance and some type of a night time fragrance. The rose notes are strong and fresh along with the lyche, but the musk is more prominent in the dry down along with the cedar and amber notes. There is however nothing aquatic about this in my oppinion, even if the name and appearance might make you think so. I mostly use this in summer, night time and day time year round. It does not last super long on me, but the staying power is ok. 3-4 hours maybe. Do not mind reapplying often tho.. The bottle is also stunning in my oppinion. Simple and elegant.

Where to even start with this one.... this scent is all I can ask for in a perfume! I’m obsessed with it, it’s not even funny! Delicate, unusual, luxurious, unique, classy, sexy ohhhh ... no words can describe it, it has to be sampled.. I would go any length to have it, no matter where is it in the world how much is the delivery charge and the tax on it, I would pay anything for this perfume. To talk a bit about the scent of it: it’s a real clean, fresh scent! Soft so it’s very discreet. Can not compare to anything because it’s so different... there is not one single note I could highlight, this perfume is complete as is.

Indeed a blue paradise... Soooo soft and delicate litchi & rose combo reminds a calming effect of an azure lagoon... Mmhhhmmmm. Can you feel the warm breeze caressing your face and the tender tropical waves washing your feet? :) As any paradise doesn't last long, this one is not long-lasting, either. I don't care, however, as much as I use this perfume as my bed-time fragrance. Sweet dreams! :)

Bleu Paradis starts off just beautifully, and its beauty just goes on and on. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one sooooo much!!! The rose is sooo soft and feminine. The cedar gives it some pizzazz. All in all, it’s a luxurious and very, very classy scent—clean and fresh. What more could one ask for? STUNNING! As someone else mentioned... it doesn’t just smell good; it makes one feel good.

Bleu Paradis is the right name for it because it's so light, transparent, flowy, like a Summer morning's breeze. I've never met a rose with such a light touch, it's so modern, so elegant, a little bit aquatic but nothing too much. I find that it goes best in the warmer season and it lasts hours on clothes.

On my skin, it's tropical fruity alcohol drink ... boozy and musky, a bit sweet and fruity ... very unique Rating: Scent 8/10 Sillage: 7/10 Longevity: 8/10

Lovely! A soft, wet rose in the tradition of Roses de Chloe (look it up on this site, they share the exact same notes!) and Cartier De Lune. I sprayed De Lune on one arm and Bleu Paradis on the other; after the dry down, this fragrance had a sharper "wood note" (De Lune was sweeter) but they are still quite similar. This is a beautiful, gentle fragrance to wear for day, particularly when in close quarters, as it is unlikely to offend others who do not care for perfume and sillage is not very strong. It did give me a slight headache, though, as sometimes happens with musky scents. The top notes are a bit sweet and have that distinctive "wet paper" vibe (not a bad thing!) but it dries down to a woody rose musk. It does have a touch of "pencil shavings"-just a touch-in the dry down which may bother some, so try it and wait for dry down before purchasing. The above fragrances are great substitutes if price is an issue. Personally, I will enjoy this sample-and may even look around for another sample or two-before moving on to other scents that are more interesting and unique, since I already own De Lune. If you are looking for a soft, pretty, gentle everyday fragrance that communicates ladylike sweetness, this could be your scent!

"Bleu Paradis" is a very cute scent - it gives a vibe of being all care free and summery without being too much of a "soda in a perfume bottle". I dig this, I got a fantastic green, aromatic vibe at the opening and was eager to see how this develops. It didn't. The heart brought fruity rose on a clean musk base and pretty much nothing else. Given the price tag - I have to agree there is nothing much to this originality and composition wise. It's also super fleeting and barely there. A staying power of merely few hours with such a low silage is a slap in the face given the price tag on this scent. I wouldn't suggest wasting time on a sample.

Upon spraying it onto my wrists, I get the warm litchi-musk cloud which I adore! This fragrance, to me, is round, warm, cozy, fall-zy and creamy. I imagine myself wearing a white or beige cozy cashmere sweater close to a bowl of fresh litchi and a bouquet freshly cut roses by my coffee table. But why am I getting this dejá-vu? What is it? oh yes, it's Chloé Chloe eau de parfum, but not really her, it's her cousin; Anna. A much watered down Chloé, less sillage and less strength. Instead of being a shade of amber, she's now blue.

Don't be deceived by the Blue in the name or the color of this perfume, there is no aquatic or marine notes (normally associated with Blue) in Blue Paradise. Essentially a Floral Woody perfume - Rose and Oakmoss dominates from the opening, then about 30mins later Cedar Wood and Musky notes take over, giving this perfume a unisex appeal. Overall nothing special. The bottle is nice and sturdy - only wish I had bought Rose Infernale (from this series by TdG) instead.

When I first scented it, I was astonished, so unique a scent it seemed to me. I really felt litchi as a top note and then it opened into a woody, sweet but fresh scent. But when tried it on my skin, the fragrance immediately changed. The litchi tones went away within a second and what remained was a non-signature sweet tone. I had to immediately put another dose of perfume on my skin because I already didn't feel it. The longevity was very poor anyway.

Lychee and rose are always a happy marriage of notes in my opinion. How can you not smile when you wear this fresh, dewy combination? Musk makes this perfume breathe with soft gentle breath, while cedar brings some grounding woods. Amber provides a little warmth that radiates through the juicy floral-fruity accord. Blue Paradis is a closed mouth charismatic Mona Lisa smile with a little knowing flirt in her eyes.

Very lively and effervescent scent that hints at citruses rather than roses. So very summery ! In a hot weather it has a rather low sillage and weak longevity. The scent is simplistic and romantic. A good impression of a pale blue sky. On such days mainly the rose, musk and cedar are present once the citrusy top disappears. It is fresh and slightly powdery.

Too similar to a fave of mine, Sakura by Junaid Perfumes. Only Sakura is fruitier. Had I not bought Sakura years before I would have loved this as well. Definitely a feel good perfume only downside is its lasting power ony skin (3 hours tops).

I’m usually a Musk fan but here, I really don’t get it. The fruity/litchi and powdery is for sure top note but the rose/musk is really confusing for me. Weak performance as well. Very disturbing and disappointing.

Terry de Gunzberg's Bleu Paradis has a misleading name and bottle colour. You'd be forgiven for dismissing this fragrance as a floral, beachy aquatic. You may be surprised to find that Bleu Paradis is a crisp, watery rose and litchi scent. I live in a climate where Summer can become unbearable. On hot, sweltering days, fragrance is the last thing on my mind as I try to keep well-hydrated and try not to succumb to heat stress. Some Summers I have turned to wearing light body mists or cologne splashes so as not to overwhelm the senses. Other years I have gone off perfume entirely. Terry de Gunzberg Bleu Paradis is the type of fragrance I would reach for the second the barometer exceeded 35 degrees celsius. This fragrance is a refreshingly basic blend of pink roses, sweet, juicy litchi, clean white musk and damp cedarwood. Its scent projection is moderate without being too overwhelming, and the lasting power is surprisingly decent on a Summer's day lasting at least five hours on warm skin. I haven't had the opportunity to test many scents from Terry de Gunzberg. I know this brand is known more for their makeup line than for their fragrances, but I'm willing to give them a shot. From what I've smelt so far they smell like quality scents with well thought out compositions. I would highly recommend sampling Bleu Paradis if you live in a warm climate or during the heat of Summer, as cooler weather may not do this fragrance justice. I would have dismissed this fragrance rather quickly, deeming it boring and bland had I sampled this fragrance alongside more complex heavy-hitters. On its own, Bleu Paradis showcases its delicate beauty and becomes quite enticing, much like a chilled glass of freshly squeezed lemonade on a hot day.

This starts out fresh but than sets really quickly into musky rose that’s very similar to roses musk by Montale. It’s nice very pleasing, the rose here is also similar to Chloé roses. But more musky and a little soar from litchi. Also similar to roses vanille but less sweet and a little more fresh, almost like a fresher version of roses vanille with litchi added. Oh and I’m so sorry but it smells nothing like Fleur Narcotique. Fleur Narcotique is fresh floral with orange blossom being very dominant and a little sourness from litchi. But here, i smell rose and musk and litchi. They’re very different in my opinion. Update: I really love it on my skin, the musky rose is absolutely gorgeous here. It is almost identical to Pure Extreme by M. Micallef

unique and !!! this is a blue slightly smoking cigarette! i really wonder where did the smoking effect come from if these are the notes!? the smell is creamy, elegant, dark, with an amazing impression of face cream. don't get fooled by the fruiti notes cause this one is never fruiti. the litchi here is added slightly and the kind of less sweet than the one found in Manakara by Indult. the Musk, Amber, & Cedar makes a very good mix. this is definitely unisex.

Bleu Paradis is better than Fruit Defendu, it has more punch. Still soo light, it is very fresh, almost citrusy, due to the litchi, a natural juicy sweetness is present too, then it turns musky, with an ok longevity..I will add those latest creations by Terry de Gunzburg are nothing to rave about..for over $100, originality and longevity should be essential.. No, not here, nothing great!!
