Fruit Défendu

Is this worth $324AUD? Yes yes & yes!!!! At first, you think "what's so amazing about this?" But then, there's hardly any mango perfumes out there, and this one is so classy and elegant. Fruit perfumes don't usually last that long, but fruit etendu has exceptional longevity. It doesn't project that well though. It is very yummy and I can't stop smelling my skin. Not the most photorealistic mango ( I was born and brought up in a tropical country) but definitely a fair interpretation. A unique one to add to my collection. Pros: *Unique * Long lasting * Classy n elegant * A fruit perfume done really well: well blended, well balanced, no irritating notes, very feminine. I use body shop mango shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, then the body shop mango body butter then this. Layering is not really necessary but why not? Mango 🥭 overload 😋😋

I smelt this is Selfridges and fell in love! We truly do like what we like, because it seems all off the perfumes I am drawn to contain white musk. This is the sweetest but also most sophisticated fragrance I have smelt in a while. It slightly reminds me of Grand Soir by MFK. I would like to have this perfume to replace my Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming

Juicy, lovely mixture of rose and bergamot with pink pepper and a touch of patchouli. It smells very fruity indeed, with strong effect of mango and pineapple, with a warm base and piccante middle notes.

I’m getting something completely different. I spritzed the sample on myself without looking at what it was (removing the power of suggestion!) and I immediately thought Christmas! This so reminds me of Christmas fruit cake and pine needles mashed together. I really like it- it’s very festive! If I look at the notes I get it.. I can smell both now, but primarily mango and bergamot which reads as ‘red berries’ to my nose. Musk is kind of a killer here for a tropical vibe since it makes me think of a cold weather scent. I will wear this fragrance for the holidays! :-)

This may be the only pineapple themed fragrance I've ever really liked, even though it quickly becomes tropical fruit salad, albeit in a refined, adult way.

This was a huge fail for me. Not saying this is an awful perfume, but on my body chemistry it turned into something really yucky..Like rottening pineapples mixed with BO. Not nice at all. It's also not very long lasting. Ended up giving it away after using it as room spray in my bathroom for a while. It worked better that way since it didn't come into contact with my skin. Still a bit too expensive to use as home fragrance, and my friend ended up liking it. The story ended well after all.

A combined fruity and fresh delight without beeing to sweet. The opening reminds me of Hilary Duffs With love and I guess it is due to the mango note, wich I love in both. Here its also accompanied with pinapple and bergamotte wich stands for the fresh part. The rose in the heart shouldn't scare the rose haters away cause here its the fruits and musk taking the lead. I compaired it to With love in the beginning but where With love is a bit darker and sweeter this stays fresh all the way. As a contrary to earlier reviewer I find this very longlasting on skin and it surely smells more than just musk til the end , maybe the pepper is making the musk musk an rose a bit different. The pepper iisn't really heavy by the way... Another green fresh easypick in the morning that is different from other flowerfruity ones cause the freshness it withholds. Love it ! Update - you might disagree but this actually has got a vibe from Bal 'D'afrique Byredo. Not bad knowing. 100 ml for the same prize as 50 from Byredo.

Just received my sample, it is sooo light, so watery. I can't imagine paying what they ask for that really boring scent!!? on my skin it is gone in 10 mn!!! Horrendous!! Clean clear fruity scent, I honestly don't think there is anything I can recommend about this scent...unless you like very light citrusy fruit scents, who have NO longevity or projection whatsoever!!! Even the Escada have better projection!! Almairac must have been in a total daze working on that one!?

I am a little bit agree with genny17. I am still testing my sample. It last not so long on my skin either. A bit scent on the t-shirt after 8 hours. It reminds me of Amethyst of Lalique and DKNY apple, purple one. For me has the same berries note. Hm... I don ́t know. At least not any: WOW, for the moment.
