Terryfic Oud L'Eau

+ Lovely unisex oud. I think maybe it leans masculine because it lacks excessive powderiness and sweetness. Instead there is a touch of sweet from the delicate citrus. It feels a little powdery and leathery on me. My husband really likes it too. Longevity is a few hours and sillage is arms-length before retreating to the skin. It's a complex fragrance combining woody, resinous, balsamic and smoky notes. "Mediterranean Citrus and lavender from Sault in Provence harmonise, while rose, cumin, saffron and cedar form the heart of this fragrance. Amber, patchouli and musk come together in a grand finale." Brand Website I'm not into bottles, but the bottle pleases me very much. It's beautiful to look at, hold, and spray. 😘

Ugh I freaking love this one. I’m on my second bottle. Something about this is so smooth, chic, grown up fancy time. It also lasts all day with a beautiful dry down. Not sure why so many folks are calling this masculine- the powder skews it firmly unisex to me.

Terryfic Oud L'eau is the best smelling oud fragrance I've had the opportunity to smell. I've had a FB for years. I spray once in a while for the aroma-therapy. For me, not appropriate for work or family gatherings. People here just do not understand oud. +

1st off, the composition also includes LAVENDER in the opening, CUMIN & CEDAR in the heart, & AMBER/PATCH/MUSK in the base, according to Barney's website. I also like that their description says the opening delivers "fierce freshness," I think they've hired a writer w/ a good ability to describe scents! Opens with a huge BURST of dry, aromatic, almost bitter-earthy saffron (& lavender, ahhh now it makes sense where the herbalness is comin from). Emphasis on DRY, almost has a cooling effect behind it, too, which must be unseen citrus. Think on par w/ the original Agent Provocateur (minus the other notes, just the saffron) as far as oddness of the opening burst, it was shocking! I was intrigued and a bit frightened, not being familiar with any saffron this blatant since my 1st puzzled impressions of AP original. About 20mins later it settles down and the luscious tangy oud (definitely built upon a woody cumin combo to synthesize it, just the kind of skanky I love, personally) I know from the original EDP version comes forward. An interesting transformation, it goes from being almost an ethereal veil of aromatic dry/cool spice to a heavier, smoother, creamier oud wood blend. Now it becomes more like the original, though still a bit more sheer. I feel the original EDP is more 'rich' and thick in the bodily scent ('oud' molded from cumin) department, but not by too much. They definitely seem to have a LOT of ambroxan, lifting the heavier notes along w/ the lavender. I love ambroxan, so I'm biased. Longevity is great on me (easily over 7hrs and my skin EATS scents) and sillage the day I tested it on my bf was moderate, could easily & occasionally smell him from ~4 ft away.

Just like its predecessors, Terryfic Oud L'Eau opens with an opulent floral accords, leaving a trail of rosy, saffron, leathery, oud-y and musky facets. The Oud note is unrelentingly present in every phase and this stays close to skin for hours on end. It's definitely milder than Terryfic Oud EDP and Terryfic Oud Extrême EDP. It's more like an "eau fraiche" take of the Terryfic Oud Line. It's something I'd wear to office. Ideal for cold, wet, windy and rainy mornings. Tho' marketed by the brand as "unisex", it's masculine. Patently masculine frag. Not all ladies would love to rock this (because of the potent presence of Oud). Sadly, it lasts barely 5 hrs on my skin. Projection and silage aren't impressive too. The Premier edition and Extrême renditions are way better.

I blind bought this - thought I was buying the Terryfic Oud - not this one. Apparently, I didn't pay enough attention and I got a perfume that I wasn't aiming for :( I never regretted a purchase more than I do now. Promise, I have a good taste, I'm from the UAE, so I'm used to good oud scents.... this on smells like pickles!!! I was so surprised, decided to give it more chances, but no, still smells like fresh pickles with a synthetic powdery hint of "oud". It doesn't last much on my clothes or skin, the only good thing about this product is the bottle, everything else is a huge disappointment.

A delicate, soft, smooth oud scent, almost a powdered rose lipstick smell to it. From a far distance reminds me of Prada L'eau Ambree just a little bit, it's the citrus/oriental combination. L'eau is quite low key, not spicy at all, very elegant, a very French oud if you will 😄

I am not a big fan of oud, but I like this! I got a bottle of it, cause I wouldn't have bought it myself. You only need very little since it is very concentrated. However, it is a very smooth oud and perfect for both men and women.
