Forest Ritual

As a guy I would say this is way more androgynous than I usually wear. My mom bought it for me as a gift. The value for your price is incredible. I've had trouble choosing hot-weather appropriate scents and this is the first one that checks all the boxes for me. It is also great for layering and can be made into a more masculine or feminine scent, into a more nighttime or daytime scent, and so on. Layered this with my Aramis and it produced a really masculine, but mystique vibe, like a hypermasculine yet gentle detective in the 80s deciding to retreat into a rustic wooden cabin in the woods and reading through newspapers while rolling up some cigarettes. I plan to wear it as a standalone for hotter days. It is a scent that needs to be reapplied during the day, but a gread scent nonetheless. Gives off forest prince vibes, onsen vibes, rural japanese village vibes. The base notes will dig deep into your clothes and stay there until laundry day.

This is one of those scents that you're either intrigued or repulsed by at first. It's sharp in the beginning but it quickly fades into this "mossy forest" scent. I think it subconsciously appealed to my highschool Twilight nostalgia when I first smelled it. It felt like walking among the tall mossy trees of the PNW forests on a misty autumn day. Oh and did I mention moss? It totally smells like moss. 🌳💚

Forest in a bottle as said in another comment. I use tesori d'oriente's perfumes mainly to spray on clean sheets or around the house, but also when I go to the gym and don't want to spray more expensive ones. This one and persian dream are definitely my favorites, also very cheap since I live in Italy😍🎀

love love love it. It gives a refreshing foresty smell, that kinda reminds me of a expesive spa retreat in the mountains. very cheap, and lasts decently on the skin.

Forest in a bottle. If you love fresh foresty and woodsy fragrances this may be something you may enjoy and for a really low price. I know this depends on skin chemistry, but on me, after first slightly citrusy opening which disappears in few seconds, later I don`t get any ginger nor lemon notes, all I get is fresh forest, water lily, a bit of rose and slight mossy tones, all of that reminds me of my favourite diy woodsy essential oil blends. This is labeled as unisex fragrance, but water lily and rose give it a touch of feminine, and depending on one`s skin chemistry it can have really create beautiful, relaxing forest aura. I was sceptical at first towards this whole brand because of their name as I`m not really fan of "Orient" fragrances which tend to be deep, sweet and spicy, while I prefer ethereal, green, aquatic but unique fragrances and this one definitely fits the category. It is a forest walk in a bottle, I really love it. It is really affordable for edt/spray and I also like foresty-green aesthetics of this line. It is also not deep nor smoky, it is very light and airy (you could fit it into Elizabeth Arden green tea category, but less citrus and more forest with beautiful soft florals.), or Elvie (from Oriflame) category, as they are all light, ephemeral, fresh and airy, with some green and aquatic notes. I layer it either with my diy lily oil perfume or my diy forest oil perfume and creates absolutely perfect forest-floral aura for my preference. I re-purchase this often as it is really affordable (4 Euros) and especially cheap (2 Euros) when on sale, and it is more of a spray-fragrance than a perfume ord edt, but I love how foresty it is and it lasts longer then expected, especially on clothes.

Finally I managed to get my hands on this. I was expecting a deep, mossy, manly vintage aftershave due to all the reviews here, but it turns out it's just a light citrussy spa scent, equivalent to the likes of Elisabeth Arden "Green Tea". It could easily be a Green Tea flanker, called "Green Tea Hinoki Wood". It neither super manly nor vintage-y. It feels more like a spa scent with a light, herbal hinoki wood note. Again, sometimes it's better not to listen too much to the reviews and better test it out oneself. I've smelled thousands of perfumes by now and I'm not immediately thinking of aftershave nor man just because there is a herbal or woody note in a perfume. This one is very light, citrussy, dry, herbal and spa like. A bit like those herbal Avenda shampoos in the green bottles. Smells very fancy and beautiful. Very unisex. I also have the Jo Malone "Hinoki and Cedarwood" and they have similar vibes. Except Forst Ritual is lighter, fresher and more citrussy whilst the Jo Malone one is a bit drier and smokier. But they both have similar clean, fresh, herbal spa vibes. If you're not into green, herbal or woody perfumes then this is not for you. But if you love (just like me) green, herbal, grassy and woody perfumes, then you will absolutely love this. The performance is also decent. It's not a perfume with heavy sillage or projection. But it stays with you on your skin for several hours. You'll have that clean, green, herbal aura around you. I'm totally enjoying this. For only £8 it's incredible. What a wonderful blind buy. Very happy with my new perfume.

This is the second bottle I own from this brand. Again, it is a cheap but good one. It is fresh and clean, and of course generic. By generic I don't mean anything negative here, but it does make you feel "I have smelled it somewhere else" or "it reminds me of xxx". Juicy fresh citrusy opening with a hint of ginger, a typical smell of summer perfume which you probably have smelled in more than 10 other brands. It does remind me of some shower gel. As it develops, rose gets more dominant. It smells like the rose water you use for your face. The drydown is definitely mossy. It smells wet, green yet still clean. Compared to Karma, this is more like a summer perfume to me.

Taken by a compulsive shopping, I emptied the section of the Treasures of the East. Having snubbed and/or underestimated it for years and years, despite having appreciated its olfactory performance on several occasions. After reading all the reviews here on Fragrantica, I decided to test and live these cheap fragrances, very synthetic but still pleasant, if they don't work I will spray them in the rooms... Forest Ritual is a citrus triumph, tart, intoxicating, an aphrodisiac duet of ginger and lemon framed by floral, amber, woody and musky scents of great effect. Energizing fragrance, which evokes wooded, luxuriant, verdant environments.

It is rather refreshing and interesting, opening with a burst of ginger and lemon and drying towards a woody and mossy, rather masculine scent. It's defo more on the masculine side but the drydown is almost identical to Cerrutti 1881 for women, on me.. I wouldn't really wear it out, but for walking in the woods or staying in the garden it's very pleasant, refreshing. Still somehow better for men though. Great value for money.

The citrusy smell goes away quite fast and not noticable, and slowly turns into the more mossy, flowery smell. Its subtly sweet, has a hint of bitterness to it. The water lily is quite prominent. Not sure how to feel about it though, the scent reminds me of someone's grandma, but it does smell somewhat foresty.

I agree with the woody/mossy/autumn comments. Its rather masculine, but wearable. Not sure if its a keeper, but it IS interesting.

This is not a perfume or ETD, it's straight up aerosol deodorant, from the metal bottle to the spray, even the powderiness. A very masculine deodorant! And I'm not one to shy away from masculine scents. I also got Vaniglia E Zenzero Del Madagascar by Tesori d`Oriente, and they're the same. 0/10

I like this a lot. It is not super lasting but it is a freshie so it was expected. In the beginning I get this really sweet lemon with gingerand cardamom smell. The waterlily gives it some watery elements but I think peony would have been a great additionnin making it even more watery and fresh. The cardamom and ginger calm down soon and I am left with a nice fresh green notes akin to foliage and it turns into maybe a bit more masculine leaning lemon scent. The woods in this aren't prominent. They act as a base only to give a grounded nuance. Personally I really like this. But it leans neutral/masc imo. If you love foresty green scents that are uplifting and calming then this is for you. I almost get some tea like elements in this. Longevity: 6.5/10 Projection: 8/10 Scent: 9.5/10 Overal: 8/10

To me, this one smells like green tea with lemon and ginger. Nothing more, nothing less, just a very realistic fragrant reproduction of that hot beverage. It is a very pleasant scent, although, weirdly, not very wearable as a fragrance, because there aren't too many occasions when one would want to smell like tea. But I use it as an air freshener, and it's great.

The initial spray is very fresh, very SPA like and pleasant BUT there is something almost vegetal about it - I swear something in there smells like fennel to my nose..

I love forest smells, but not this one. All you can smell is spicy ginger and that conifer tree. The ginger is too overpowering.

Smells like my boyfriend, which I like, but I like to smell like this only when he rubs off me ;)

a little onsen retreat, this makes me happy anytime I wear it.
