Jasmin di Giava

I have a future plan to consider testing and if not,to buy Angel one day if I manage to save up for one and would compare that with this one day. Now to describe this scent.I know some scents are targeted for a specific age group or are much suitable for a certain age.As someone who is 19(I had this when I was 18),I can say it is quite a mature scent and I'm too shy to wear this in public.It is that scent that is also "heady-airy". I like this scent so much due to it's so comforting for me.I wear this to bed because it makes me fall asleep. To describe the scent,The first blast is a strong bitter chocolate,patchouli and jasmine scent.Then it goes from that to the dusty phase that I really can't tell why it smells so dusty(maybe it's from the earthy patchouli).Almost like the smell of a sandstorm-y day.Then what remains for me is a close to skin jasmine and the soft-tart fruity smell(must be the passion fruit or red berries) and then the patchouli which will last forever on clothes so don't spray too much on your clothes. It is so sexy and dirty and sweet at the same time I would love to smell this on someone.Someone who I would consider intimate. Also,it reminds me so much of biting into an After eight mint chocolate which I loved as a child. Sillage is something I really can't tell for myself but longevity-wise,It's long lasting.

This do smell EXACTLY like TM Angel!! I love Angel, one of my top five and i cant tell the difference on these two! Maybe a bit less bitter choclat and a bit more caramel! Power and longavity are as good as real Angel! WHY did i spend 140 $ on 3,4 oz Angel when i got the same amount of this gem for 7 euros ( 10 $ ) on Ebay.it?? It does not smell cheap in any sense, only the tin bottle could be be more fun! Bath and body products are great to, matches real Angel nicely!:)

My favorite from TO range. No wonder, because I am an Angel addict. Very similar, not exactly 100%. Jasmin di Giava is less creamy, more powdery, more cocoa powder than chocolate. It is also little bit more masculine. I went through many bottles of it and countless related products like shower gels and bubble bath. This fragrance continues to mesmerize me and I have to say it has better performance on me than the latest reformulations of Angel.

Jasmin di Giava is a bitter-sweet bomb. Imagine tasting bitter dark chocolate with vanilla aroma. Patchouli and jasmine bring this bitterness to a higher sophisticated and serious level. Dark, oriental and seductive..suitable for both sexes and imo best for colder days. But you must be a foxy one to pull this one off.

Wow! Absolutely a dupe of mugler angel, but obviously it's more subtle, Very cheap and I am really pleased with my purchase :), the only bad point it's a bottle...

yes, it reminds of angel, but NO, this is not angel. it has, however its own personality. it is a rich oriental scent. ambre, heavy jasmine, powdery vanilla, sweet and rich dark notes. it`s a night perfume. It`s very feminine and simple. it`s preffereable to scents that mix too much! sometimes less is more and the jasmine in this one clearly defines the meaning of it! I also liked the design of the bottle. I like buddhist imagery! I wouldn`t know, however what is the difference between regular jasmine that grows in my garden and java jasmine. all I know is that the indonesian isle of java is also known as the jasmine island. it has volcanoes and rich agricultural lands. it`s warm and wet. it has a fascinating culture and artistic values that have been shaped by buddhism, hinduism and islamic beliefs as well. there, the jasmine is called "melati putih" and is the most important flower in wedding ceremonies for ethnic Indonesians. the perfume has a certain sensuality. it seems to be long lasting and slightly narcotic. it goes well with a larger spectrum of colors. one can easily associate white and also black with jasmine, but somehow it steers away from neutrals such as beige, grey or boring/ faded tints.

well this may as well be a good Angel dupe but somehow that wasn't the first thing that came to mind..but the question 'where is the jasmine?' . Was expecting a bit more given the name, but not disappointed at all. now - I love my patchouli but Angel never worked for me, somehow Angel only shown it's band-aid side to me. this 'jasmine' on the other hand is easier to get along with and yet it does deliver that Angel vibe. Much recommended if, like myself, you have found that Angel did not work as beautifully on your skin as on other's. To me, it is much better than Angel, because it delivers. :) am simple minded like that! With regards to quality, am stunned this time...a lot of frags in this price range tend to be more synthehic, lacking complexity, longevity, sillage, you name it. This one seem to have well avoided the caviats of cheap frags and delivered like a niche was supposed to. (not saying niche always delivers more than cheapies, but that in my experience they are more likely to). All in all, if you don't mind the bottle, like the Angel vibe, this baby will give you just as much bang (if not more) as an expensive niche imho. Or even Angel itself. xxx

Taken by a compulsive shopping spree, I emptied the Treasures of the East sector. Having snubbed and / or underestimated it for years and years, despite having appreciated its olfactory performance on several occasions. After reading all the reviews here on Fragrantica, I decided to test and experience these cheap fragrances, very synthetic but still pleasant, if it goes I will spray them in the rooms ... Jasmin of Java by Tesori d'Oriente: at the opening the citrus notes triumph solemnly , fresh and radiant. When dry, the citrus notes are combined with a rich fruit side dish surrounded by delicate floral notes of jasmine and lily of the valley. At the dry down unexpectedly the bland takes on a frankly gourmand connotation with oriental accents. Very reminiscent of Thierry Mugler's Angel.

Wow, I didn't know that Tesori d'Oriente fragrances have joined Fragrantica database!!! I like many of them, they are very rich and either flowery-spicy-orientals or woody-spicy-orientals. From cap sniffing, they are incredibly pleasant, at the moment I just can't decide which one to buy! Jasmin di Giava is yummy and sensual, exotic by being oriental and definitely NOT the fresh grassy type(with tuberose or gardenia). I think I can detect the powdery influence of orange blossom, some sweet woods, musk spices, maybe some cinnamon and coriander too. For the price I find it a real treat for the lovers of rich orientals. Of course, I can't deny the fact that the low price tag reflects its so-so quality... Anyway, Jasmin di Giava is worth a try, as well as the ones with frangipani or poppy.

Most of the time these perfumed items end up in our shopping cart more for small daily gratification than real necessity, or basic needs. Many times when burning disappointment is a calculated risk, rare ones in which discovery leaves us astonished, as in case of Jasmin di Giava. Its twin brother has undoubted depht, history and rightly reverence, but J.di Giava shines with its own light and must not fear that angel brother may obscure it. I like this patchouli, poised between exotic and sidereal thanks to the lily-of-the-Valley. Its trail is endless, and doesn't change at all on my skin on synthetic or unnatural side. From me it gets the highest marks, for an expense al my lowest historical level.

As other reviewers have observed, this is a great substitute for TM Angel (and about fifteen times cheaper). To me, this is all about patchouli, caramel and chocolate. The opening smells exactly like Angel, but then it turns a bit more bitter. Its projection and longevity are very decent, 6 hours at least, but it's not as headachey as Angel. Would make a great present for a teenage girl who is just getting into gourmands.

This is a dupe wannabe for Angel but a unisex or even a male version of it. So as a woman who wants to smell feminine (as with original Angel), I'll pass on this even for the 4 euro they are asking in my store.. Undeniably similar to Angel but without the depth and sweetness whigh makes Angel so feminine and designer smelling I better invest the 4 bucks in a nice cup of coffee instead. Cheers😀

It's a softer and more wearable version of Angel! The lasting power of all these fragrances is great too! While Jasmin of java smells just like Angel... Fiore del dragone --> Hypnotic poison Dior; Africa --> Le male JPG; Hammam --> Cinema YSL; Papavero --> Flower by Kenzo; Mirra --> Cashmir Chopard. IMO :)

It does smell like Angel on me, less chocolate-honey-ish than Angel, but it's sooo close i am really surprised since this was a blind buy, and i didn't even know it was supposed to be similar to one of my favorite perfumes! Lucky buy i guess. Pretty nice for a 8 euro perfume :)

Yes, smells like Mugler Angel definately, the first minutes are really heavy, but after the scent turns more intimate and close to the skin I think. The smell itself is great, sillage and lasting not as good as Angel for sure, I know for only 3/4 price it's not a bad thing:)

Jasmin di Giava, smells just like Angel by T.Mugler. I just cannot wear Angel, but love the smell on other people. This, however is so delicate and wearable,it's ''Angel'' I can wear :) and I love it. Love to layer with the shower gel and body cream.

This is the perfect version of Angel, it has the right sillage and the right longevity. It smells the same in my opinion minus the annoying licorice tone. I love it, love the price and will restock while Im in Italy since this costs 3.46eur here.

Another perfect score to Tesori D'oriente. Enveloping, warm, sweet, aromatic. Like a comfortable hug of plaid and hot chocolate. A book to read. Perfume that I think gives the best in closed environments. Approved!

My Dad loves it and it smells amazing on him. It's like a more unisex version of Angel, similar to Amen, with a lovely vanilla base. It's quite aromatic with distinctive patchouli and smells very luxurious. :)

Apologize for those who have the great chance to get a beautiful dupe of angel, but on my skin, Tesori made the step too much. Angel is not an easy fragrance, but it has a dark chocolate note keeping it on the right side. Perhaps a kind of gourmand side. Jasmin develops on me a strong musky smell, not a dirty musk but a washing powder one. Definitely not gourmand, of course (I don’t feel like eating my laundry) and really sickening. I must say that the price was so low that I don’t regret to have tried it, even if it is going in my giving box. Tesori O makes wonderful fragrances, strong and longlasting, and I enjoy to buy them, even if this one didn’t work on me.

It IS a copy of Angel. It makes me sick just the same. If you like the scent you'll get a killer for little money. But if you get sick just smelling Angel, stay away from Jasmin di Giava as well...

i see comparisons to angel-i must be the only person who hasn't tried angel-ever...so this review will be based strictly on the merits if this perfume only-not as a comparison to anything else.... i was gifted a large decant of this from a wonderful member-and i love jasmine-but i am not, as a whole, a gourmand lover-but this is beautiful! i smell jasmine, chocolate, carmel, orange and vanilla...all together in a wonderful blend-barely any patch at all-which is fine with me-i have several with-and i do not miss it in this... i find the chocolate and vanilla a perfect blend-which is wonderful because too many time vanilla can overwhelm a scent-and take it over-but not so here-i definitely get the chocolate notes-nice smooth rich chocolate-the orange and carmel are lighter-around the edges-not too much-making this an elegant scent... perfect for day time...not to sweet, not too loud...just rich and beautiful.... i do not notice the passionfruit and amber until after the dry down-WOW! this just upped this a notch in my opinion-still no patch for me-i can see myself layering this with 'dalal' by al rehab, or covet by SJP- lasted at least 4-5 hours-and for the price this is an absolute bargain-and definitely FB worthy!

I must admit that I was not expecting an Angel replica when I ordered a sample of Jasmin di Giava. As a result I was a little shocked when I first applied it to my skin. Years ago, an old friend of mine wore Angel as her signature. When our friendship fell apart, my love for Angel waned. Although I do enjoy the way Jasmin di Giava smells, it has way too many bad memories associated with it. Angel and Jasmin di Giava are pretty much one in the same, so if you don't like one, you won't like the other. The jasmine accord is a tad more prominent in Jasmin di Giava than it was in Angel, however the dominant patchouli and caramel notes bridge the gap between the two. When comparing prices, Jasmin di Giava of course comes out on top. So if cheap Angel knock-offs aren't doing it for you anymore, try this cheaper alternative. The longevity is just as potent. In regards to projection, Jasmin di Giava is the lighter of the two, which may be good news to some. I'm not going to lie, I am annoyed to discover yet another Angel-esque fragrance hiding behind an inconspicuous name, but on the other hand I realise that more affordable options are needed. Buy only if you approve of copy-cat scents.

This one is beautiful. An Angel dupe, as we know from the comments, which is why I blind bought it. I am very suspicious about cheap and very affordable fragrances and dupe parfumes in general, as I never end up wearing them, so I said to myself never ever to buy something in that range. But these comments were just nice and price was so dirt cheap, I really didn't mind trying it. I am surprised how well balanced this fragrance is. It is a bit softer, just because Angel is huge and powerful, so maybe that is a good thing, like a day version of the perfume. These are exactly the same notes in the same rounded, creamy, yummy way, a bit lighter.... almost like a feather. If it was a flanker, Thierry would have named it Angel Feather or Angel Souffle :) It is milky and absolutely perfect. I could spray more and more, can't get enough of it. It is not weak, just fluffy. Who loves Angel this one is a winner. And the price? How is that possible, 7 euros for 100ml ? I am more then happy with my blind buy.

Patchouli, Jasmine, Orchid and Plum too perhaps? It's not a simple floral Jasmine, it's definitely a rich Oriental. Yes, a cheap copy of Angel for sure. I have to be honest, I wouldn't wear Angel, but as Amarilia said, I don't dislike it on other people. So I wanted to give this a try, hoping that the Patchouli (a note that I can take only in small quantities) wouldn't be overpowering. At first spray it didn't really seem that light, but due to its nature of "cheap EDT" it tones down pretty quickly, which in this case is a plus for me. I've been wearing it for 5hrs now, only one spritz on my arm and I still smell some sweet Patchouli. It's affordable, a good option for people that would like to try to see how Angel/Wish might work on them but wouldn't want to spend lots of money for the real thing.

I smell mango! What in my childhood we used to call "Indian" mangoes (the red round kind) rather than the bright yellow oval kind. Mango, and something oily, dark, humid and animalic, gone after a few minutes. (EDIT: After more experience, I now know this to be the patchouli, but it blends with the other accords and stays, and stays, and stays). The perfume has much in common with Thierry Mugler Angel . The sambac jasmine note doesn't really stand out, blended as it is with all the rest. The fragrance needs some warmth to show its true nature; however I would be nervous about wearing this on a tropical evening. Very sensual, dirty in an exciting way.

After the initial terrible alcohol-blast, the fragrance itself is great. I don't find it an exact dupe of Angel but it is closer with the great splash of patchouli than many 'official' Angel-dupe. This one, hoever, is stronger on the floral and honey note and probably more unisex but I like that. Not a cheap smell at all but the bottle, the sprayer and the cap are horrendous. Good thing that the aluminium container preserves the juice better than clear bottles. The only downside is longevity so one needs to reapply quite often, still, it is so affordable that poor longevity and performance is acceptable. The best cheap fragrance I've ever met.

I was very excited about this one - as I love jasmine (and especially now Notre Flore Jasmine has been discontinued). In the bottle it does smell like Angel, but on my skin....melon on patchouli.. First sugared melon, then overipe melon...I can't quite work out what to think of this one yet. It is not unpleasant certainly. But if you're looking for jasmine, I think this is not for you.

I've been looking for this in every store that sells this line, and they don't seem to carry it anymore... at least not in my city. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that it's a Mugler dupe? Then again, most Tesori d'Oriente products are good dupes of popular brands.

this one is Angel by Mugler's little brother. It's almost identical. It'd be a good idea to own the Tesori's bath foam and match it with Angel as a perfume. The cheaper version of Angel.

I like Angel so I like this one - It's like affordable version of TM Angel. On my skin last about 5 hours so Im satisfied with that.

100% Angel! Amazing. I still prefer Al-Rehab Crystal in this genre - it's a more thick syrupy woodsy Angel. Lasts longer too.
