Mirra

This is my casual version of Casmir. I feel floating when I wear it. Very comforting. Smells similar to scents from the 90's. Grown up, lovely but not too heavy vanilla. Instant mood lift. edit: Dupe for reformulated Vanilla Fields.

I used to like Mirra from Tesori d'Oriente line. This is not bad and has a sweet take on resinous myrrh, so it's much gentle than the real thing. Well, if I want 1001 nights atmosphere I spray Shalimar, but Mirra is not bad and also the bath line with soap and cream is ok and pleasant. In my book it still smells too drugstore to be worn on important events. I agre it smells similar to Chopard Casmir. Many years ago I was a fan of Casmir and loved it especially for the lovely bottle and the jus of course, but it became quite an oversweet taste for me. In the same period Atkinsons made a whole line called Mirra & Mirra and it smelled very close to Casmir for a fraction of the price. I had the luscious body cream. Also Mirra & Mirra could be overpowering especially if layered with cream and perfume on top! Then Tesori d'oriente came out with its Mirra which is similar but less refined compared to Atkinsons. I would say that there is a thread of derivation among the three!

I bought the shower cream from this line, and I was expecting it to be a little sweeter. Also, it doesn't really linger much on my skin after a shower. Perhaps I've gotten too used to the vanilla shower cream by Sephora (now, THAT is a scent you can still smell for a while after using it), but the Mirra one left me "Meh." EDIT: I've used it again today, and it smelled more pleasant. Again, it's a light smell, but pleasant. I think I detect some peach in it, but I'm not sure. I have 250 ml of shower cream to use, so I'm sure I'll get back to you about it! LOL :) EDIT PART II: This scent is starting to grow on me. Now I'm pretty sure there's a peach note in it. Perhaps a little apricot, too. It's sweet but not cloying, relaxing, and somehwat refreshing. I may actually consider buying the perfume, too. EDIT PART IV: I've bought the perfume. LOL! :) it smells exactly the same as the shower cream, and it's beautiful.

Taken by a compulsive shopping spree, I emptied the Treasures of the East sector. Having snubbed and / or underestimated it for years and years, despite having appreciated its olfactory performance on several occasions. After reading all the reviews here on Fragrantica, I decided to test and live these cheap fragrances, very synthetic but still pleasant, if I don't go I will spray them in the rooms ... Mirra di Tesori d'Oriente is a markedly oriental fragrance, when dry you can appreciate the citrus hints of orange and bergamot. At the dry down the blend becomes warm and enveloping, the amber, musky and vanilla notes come together in a reassuring and sensual encounter. They consider him the Casmir dupe of Chopard, he doesn't look like him at all.

I have the shower gel, and the perfume. I love this so much! The shower gel doesn't dry my skin, and it's wonderful to be covered in this fragrance from head to toe in the shower. The perfume is sweet, a slightly soapy peach-vanilla-opoponax. I haven't smelled Casmir, so I don't know how similar it is to Mirra, but to me, this is definitely one of TdO's best fragrances.

Tesori d'Oriente gives us a creamy myrrh that's made sweet thanks to the amber. Vanilla and benzoin make sweetness perfect. After a few tens of minutes I perceive the opoponax and in some ways reminds me of Wild Dsquared in its dry-down. During the closing phase I feel the peony and the cedar. Not bad!

E' un buon profumo orientale, indicato per il periodo invernale in quanto è abbastanza corposo e persistente. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è ottimo, lo consiglio per chi vuole una fragranza avvolgente.

Great powerhouse fragrance, especially for the price. But it does give me a headache: not the perfume's fault, but thanks to it I learned that amber fragrances do that to me.

Sometimes when I use it, it reminds me of softer, less complex version of Chopard's Casmir, which I truely love. Lasting power is great. The price is great. Worth trying.

It's an nice smell , but not rafinated. It could have deeper scent . It's the sweet side of myrth, which I like. Slightly soapy .

I usually lean towards amber and musk in my blind buys, and this time I was expecting at least some resemblance to Musc Ravageur, as that was my introduction to musks and I naively assumed all musks should be similar. THEY. ARE. NOT. Lesson learned - this is definitely a white powdery sweet vanilla musk, not at all the kind I was looking for, but it is not entirely unpleasant. It's way too sweet to my taste, but after a couple of hours of wear it dries down to smell like a loving mother's closet, very cosy and feminine and a bit citrusy. Will likely use as air freshener, but honestly at 3 eur a bottle I am not dissappointed. If you like sweet light musks, Tesori might be a nice option, especially for the price.. To me, it smells best on clothes the next day after wear, when it's mixed a bit with sweat and has time to dry down fully.

It smells pretty similar to Casmir in its opening notes but this two fragrances are not identical. The original by Chopard, has a more complex pyramid which can be noticed while experiencing middle and base notes. Both are very weak in sillage and lasting power but the latter can be still detectable on your skin after a day of work. I also would say that Mirra is more on the masculine unisex side while Casmir tends to appeal more the femminine world.

I was hoping for really something nice, something that i will like... that's mirra, one of my favourites. Unfortunately that perfume turned out to smell like some plastic and chinees rubber gum for me :( I'm really dissapointed.

I've never smelled that Casmir from the 90-s, but this specific smell is a terrible mass destruction chemical Surprisingly, I can imagine this as part of some aroma therapy during some massage / sauna session, but never as a fragrance for everyday use Sorry, it's purely disgusting as a perfume UPD - YES, really similar to Casmir

Soon after spraying Mirra by Tesori d'Oriente, I had a flashback to my early twenties. This was my first official testing of Mirra, yet I have had many past encounters with Chopard's Casmir, (of which this is an exact dupe). I never owned a bottle of Casmir, but I tried it several times when I was younger and the scent has stuck with me. Mirra, like Chopard's Casmir, is a sweet vanilla-amber scent with a touch of spicy myrrh, white musk and zesty orange. This fragrance is quite distinctive and easy to recognise. Unfortunately, the sweetness is not for everyone as it can be quite overwhelming and sickeningly syrupy. I'm a tad disappointed that Tesori d'Oriente's Mirra didn't attempt to tame the sweetness in this composition. Casmir certainly has its followers, however, many find the sugary-sweet aspect unbearable. Tesori d'Oriente may have found more success if they had duplicated the scent pyramid but significantly toned down the sweetness, or amplified the spices. Both fragrances have similar longevity and projection. Mirra lasted approximately six hours on my skin and shrouded me in a heavy cloud of spicy, ambery sweetness. The older I become, the less I enjoy sweet gourmands or vanilla scents, but for nostalgic purposes, Mirra has provided a pleasant trip down memory lane.

Most Tesori D'Oriente fragrances have an oriental nice smell about them. Very pleasant. Notable exception - White Musk which smells very clean and soapy. Take Mirra for instance: I tried the shower gel first to see what the fuss is all about - I've read online that they're supposed to be good dupes of some famous designer frags. Now, since Casmir is not available in perfume shops here I never smelled it so therefore cannot attest to the authenticity of Mirra's smell. However, the smell is oriental, deep and pleasant. I tried the eau de parfum as well and I must admit that at first spray it does resemble a bit to some very cheap deodorant-like perfumes (Impulse anyone?). The scent is not refined, it's not sophisticated, it lacks that certain something that makes a designer perfume 'designer'. I know the price point is very low, but they're supposed to be 'dupes' at least according to wearers. I'm pretty sure Casmir would give a different vibe. Side note: the shower gels are very drying on the skin and their scent does not linger. Not worth the money. The longevity of the eau de parfum is better though. So just buy the perfume and skip the shower gel if you don't want your body skin to turn into a dried plum.

I just got my bottle from a friend who was on holiday in Rome and picked up a bottle at the chemist`s for me for a mere 3.50 euros! And I must say as all other Tesoris I know to date this one is no disappointment either. I see comparisons here, yet on me this smells like myrrh and a bit of powder, maybe a bit of wood and vanilla. I find no similarity with any other scent, it`s just myrrh but a good and lasting one, somewhat reminiscent of the church incense but in the best way possible, because of the other notes that complement the myrrh well!It could nearly be unisex in my opinion! It`s something I`d defo use in the winter, even though it`s not as potent as most winter scents. Thumbs up from me.

I grew up in Italy, and we had a bubble bath from Tesori D'Oriente when I was growing up. I still remember those earthy, woody, and deep smells in my mom's bathroom, it smelled so delicious. I think it's part of the reason why I love these kind of perfumes up to this day. This is so precious, and in times like these, with this virus, and my home country being decimated by it (I cry every day seeing how many people are passing away), this is just so comforting. It was on my list for a while and I found it for 10 CAD at a little grocery store here in Toronto. I almost screamed when I saw it. It's deep, true myrrh. It brings me back to my childhood and comforts me so much.

I thought that "Mirra" would be more sharp and bitter, but it turns out to be a very smooth, sweet, enveloping, cozy and comforting scent. Good in cold weather and pretty long lasting. In short: GREAT STUFF, but not really a perfume. UPDATE: I tried it on a warm day (not blistering heat) and it turned very nice and long lasting. Some fragrances that are typically for winter can perform wonderfully when it's quite warm outside, and that's super "cool".

Un très joli oriental à petit prix. Myrrhe est très épicé et poivré mais doux aussi, légèrement sucré, chaleureux, c'est un parfum d'hiver. Il a une bonne tenue. Les flacons alu de 100 ml sont pratiques à transporter et il y a une gamme coordonnée; je suis si fan que j'ai acheté le savon et la crème corps. Une marque sans prétention, un excellent rapport plaisir/prix.

Feels like going through grandmas old wooden closet filled with clothes. I don't usually like musks, but I like spices. I love this, it is very Cozy and amazing for the price

Nice and pleasant after the shower or before going bed. It's extemely worth for the price. Not very masculine but however good to going to gym or relaxed moments. 7/10

It was a blind buy and it doesn't fit with me enough. Good lasting power and yes, smells like Casmir.
