Vaniglia e Zenzero del Madagascar

I’m not sure what exact note they added to this fragrance, but I fell in love with it at first sniff — and I’m not even a big vanilla fan. It feels like you’re bathing in a tub of soft, powdery milk, while someone sprinkles you with vanilla so generously that it starts to take on a slightly bitter edge. I first discovered this scent in the form of a shower gel, and to be honest, the bitterness isn’t present there at all — just pure, sweet vanilla-orchid softness. Of course, orchids don’t actually have a smell, but I was still happy to see it listed in the pyramid, because it explained the association this perfume gives me — and the reason I love it so much: a rich, luxurious orchid-scented shower gel from my childhood. In the perfume, there’s a note that hints it could be a masculine scent, but that doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I mostly wear it at home, before bed, and often use it as a room spray (thankfully, it’s priced in a way that makes that feel okay). And the longevity is incredible — even after a couple of days, you can still catch the scent on your pillow. A true love of mine — one of my all-time favorite scents.

I bought this because I was looking for a less expensive dupe for Morroccanoil L'Originale. I would say this comes reasonably close. It is much more vanilla forward and has a lovely ginger kick. Even though I ended up buying L'Originale, I find I reach for this more as I absolutely its adore the syrupy, vanilla-ginger scent. It's a warm, spicy vanilla, so it's perfect for fall and winter. You could also get away with it on a cool/rainy spring day as it does have a bright note from the citrus and ginger. The woody notes pull it a bit masculine from a typical vanilla gourmand, making it a wonderful unisex fragrance. It will last all day on clothes, but doesn't last long on skin, at least not my skin anyway. That's not really a problem though given it's low price point. I just re-apply. I would highly recommend if you like the Morroccanoil L'Originale scent profile. The two actually pair quite nicely together as well. Overall, it's great inoffensive unisex scent, if you like Spicy/Woody Vanilla fragrances. (Note: The shower gel and bubble bath pull more syrupy, ginger-vanilla than the perfume spray).

Vaniglia e Zenzero del Madagascar reminds me of YSL Manifesto L'Elixir (which I love, but cannot wear, because it makes me allergic, while this one don't! go figure!), but with lots of ginger. There's also slight similarity to Kenzo Amour Le Parfum. Very boozy, warming, almost herbal, definitely oriental. A very pleasant surprise. I wear it a lot in the winter time, as a warming comforting blanket. It feels like drinking a cup of very sweet, hot ginger tea. Sillage and longevity are really good. I can definitely recommend it. : )

I remember, This is a great Vanille, rich deep brown smelling vanilla, oh yeah. I had a bottle and I sold it on and, I often miss it. Today, When I wore Montale Vanille absolu, I'd received as a sample, I remembered this beauty. I actually had Vanille absolu bottle before and sold that as well. :/ Now I miss them both lol Now I really wish I had kept this one. :D Highly recommend for Vanille lovers. A+

I have never thought that ginger could have its gourmand side. This scent is very warm and sweet, quite yummy. I personally drink ginger tea very often and this perfume reminds me a lot of it. The bitterness of the sandalwood and vetiver makes it masculine as well and because of that I can firmly say that this scent is unisex. I like it very much.

My favorite everyday perfume. I wear it on its own or layered. It's sweet, warm, and rich. I personally only smell the vanilla and sandal, and it's delicious. It is definitely a unisex fragrance, it has a hint of 'mature' to it, but not overpowering at all, it is primarily sweet. Not powdery, not sour, not floral, not citrus-y.

It is a lovely november scent, great for those who want to start their niche perfume collection! It is warm, vanila scented and woody. It gives you a hugging sensation in fall. It is long lasting, and after it sets it gives a smell of fresh washed clothes with a luxury fabric conditioner. Love it!

A clean vanilla perfume, smells to me like a vanilla Fabric softener. Costs like 10 dollars for 100ml- while lasting for a couple of hours!!!!! Definitely a safe blind buy- even someone who doesn’t like vanilla can definitely like this one.

If Sabrina Carpenter’s Sweet Tooth had a masculine version this would be it. Reminds me also of THoO Ruby Red. Soft, sweet, woody, gingery, beautiful fragrance.

I got this as a spontaneous blind-buy in an Italian supermarket during the lockdown. When you can't go to department stores and other perfume sources, a perfume lover can get a little desperate. Vaniglia e Zenzero del Madagascar is a nice fragrance, but I don't think I would have bought it if I had tried it before. So I'm hosting a giveaway to find a new home for it right now. The scent is mainly vanilla, which is very sweet and creamy here. Warm, but more bright than dark. The ginger is a nice accent which adds freshness and a soft spicy edge. Even though the base is full of dense creamy musk and fuzzy cashmeran, the zingy ginger makes it wearable year round. I'm testing it one last time today in 28°C weather and I even enjoy it more than I did when I bought it in winter. My main criticism is that this scent is really very simple and not complex. It doesn't try to appear more high-end than it is. If I ever see the shower gel version in a store, I might get it. But as a perfume... It's great for the 7€ I paid and lasts super long, it's just not great enough to keep it in my collection.

Very simple and straightforward; perfect for colder months, but I have been able to wear it during a 22°C spring day. Definitely a lot of vanilla, brightened by ginger in the beginning. It later gets a bit powdery and smokier, I would have guessed this has insence in the notes but its probably the sandalwood or the oud? It lasts for 6 hours but even after there is a faint ghost of it left that is only noticeable if you smell directly on the application point. Doesnt project that far but I like that, because it doesnt turn artificial and heavy. Although its not my favorite from this brand, I like it a lot and will definitely get a lot of wear out of it. I have decided to put it in a different bottle made of glass and so far I am not detecting any difference in the scent or progression.

This was disappointing. Tesori are a budget brand, so their perfumes are, like budget brands' tend to be, pretty inconsistent. Some of them are surprisingly good and strong (Tiare, Byzantium), and others like this one and Ayurveda have very little strength and longevity. This one was especially disappointing because, unlike Ayurveda, it actually smells good. It's a rounded, warm vanilla that's not too foody, not too girly, and not too 'plasticky' despite being cheap. But the strength and longevity are very low. It projected a couple of inches for about 20 minutes, then became a skin scent for about 1 - 1.5 hour, and then it was completely gone. Even after several sprays. Pass.

Taken by a compulsive shopping spree, I emptied the Treasures of the East sector. Having snubbed and / or underestimated it for years and years, despite having appreciated its olfactory performance on several occasions. After reading all the reviews here on Fragrantica I decided to test and live these cheap fragrances, very synthetic but still pleasant, if I don't want to I will spray them in the rooms ... Vanilla and Ginger from Madagascar by Tesori d'Oriente is a reassuring and sugary fragrance, well-dosed blend, characterized by harmonious and sweet notes. Good persistence like all the fragrances of the line. 5:40 PM dupe in Madagascar by Kenzo.

What if I told you that this scent reminds me so much about lipstick? What if I told you that on my skin it looks like a copy of Clandestine Clara (which costs hundreds of euros)? All this is summarized in two basic notes: Vanilla and Amber. After these notes there are ginger and sandalwood. Floral ending with Orchid and Ylang Ylang but i think that i smell the orchid from the first spray. Sparkling sweetness and Fantastic plasticy / creamy effect. P.s. Recommended for women.

Simple cozy, snuggly, fabric softener-like vanilla. It's not appetizing and delicious, it's more like a nice scented candle. For the cheapie that it is, it's absolutely decent if you love basic vanilla with very vague spicy hints - there is not much else to it, it's quite linear. Like most TdO perfumes, it is better on my clothes and hair, than on my skin. Not very long-lasting, more of a skin scent, weak to no projection. For some reason, it attracts cats.

I haven't smelled Kenzo Madagascar so I can't compare similarity, but on me this Tesori smells like male version of Armani Code plus creamy vanilla (not sickly sweet). It's beautiful and so far my favourite from Tesori line (already tried Hammam, Africa, Ayurveda, Fior di Loto, White Musk - my second favourite). Slightly sweet yet still somehow a bit fresh, nourishing and crisp fragrance. Perfect for fall, winter and spring when it's not too warm outside.

Yep, just like others have said - this is dry, woody, spicy and clean unisex vanilla. So far I've been not that big of a fan of Tesori fragrances due to the fabric softener vibes they all have going on, but this is the best one I've tried so far, and now I'm thinking of actually buying it. Not to mention that this is perfect for fall, it's very soft and cozy but not typically sweet or gourmand at all.

Personalmente non amo i profumi unisex, tuttavia sono stata tentata ad acquistarlo. La nota pungente dello zenzero si avverte molto, ma è ben equilibrata grazie alla vaniglia e non risultando stucchevole. E' un ottimo profumo per tutti i giorni, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Non adatto a chi vorrebbe un profumo molto fiorito.

Unisex, fresh and vanillary. Smels great,expenssive and a bit niche. I cant belive this is sold for such a cheap price,it could easily pass by an expenssive cologne, im in shock for the quality/price of this stuff. I will stock up on this. Bravo Italia!

It's a nice perfume, but it is so weak... At least projection...it's close to none Smells of vanilla, sugar, creamy santal But still I find it quite an appealing aroma :)

I think it`s more masculine than feminine but being labeled as unisex is good because it is sweet and deep and amazing.

Great vanilla, but the spicy ginger and the amber give me a headache after a while because it's really heavy.

I have it (received it on a giveaway here, thanks SailorV! :) ) --- A lighthearted vanilla with a twist that doesn't take itself too seriously, in my opinion. To my nose, there's a note of bubbly-ness, which should be the ginger, as it reminds me of ginger ale, and some wafts of a vaguely woody round note which is more abstract than recognizably sandalwood or rosewood. It does not smell expensive but it does smell nice and "with a sense of humour". Full summer outdoors flea market in a public garden mood. (I happen to like flea markets, and I miss them :) ). It makes me smile so I count it as a win :) It makes me feel approachable and in a relaxed but inquisitive "outside" mood (not the warm fluffy cocoon relaxed, or the melt in a massage relaxed mood, but the mood of going for a walk to watch the sights amidst people). I feel the mix of the vanilla and bubbly ginger ale works well here, and makes me feel approachable and unpretentious. Important: do not overspray as it gets a bug spray note if you spray too much (I added some more sprays later and found out that it works better for me in a smaller dosage). Fortunately, after half an hour that note is gone, but still the warning (to myself if no-one else) remains! --- A personal note: I don't like the bottle texture. It feels weird in my hand. I decanted it into a glass spray bottle and it's much more pleasurable to spray it like this. The bottle is part of the experience for me, apparently :)

The predominant flavour is sweet, vanilla and powder, and I can’t detect any wood, ginger, citrus or fresh notes.

This fragrance costs pennies but performs like a beast: one spray two hours ago and it's still projecting like crazy; it's even more surprising since my skin usually makes everything disappear. The opening is sweet woods, a touch of citruses and spinkles of ginger. It retains a spicy, oriental vibe during its whole life. It's basically a strong woody vanilla, quite unisex, especially during winter, when the sweetness is toned down and the woody notes are more prominent. If you have the patience to let it sit for long enough, it evolves into a drydown that has more than a few notes in common with the discontinued and extremely expensive Kenzo Amour Le Parfum: they are not dupes, but they definitely have an overlapping olfactory profile. Vaniglia e zenzero is sweeter, vanilla is more prominent here, while Kenzo Amour Le Parfum is more smokey and darker. I do agree with SailorV: this is the fragrance to go antiques shopping at an outdoor market.

First of all, not to forget: this little fragrance works much better on fabrics than on the skin. But then it happened something incredible. I am a big fan of Mon Guerlain, I use the bottle and the body cream very often. It has the same vibe. I expected a vanilla-ginger, perhaps also something like twilly (that is too heavy for me and clearly floral), but no. Vanilla + Spicy aromatic wood, in a very good way.

I'm not convinced about the quality of these perfumes. In my opinion, they are only synthetic, for health rather harmful. This scent has completely convinced me that I have to return to natural essential oils. My Rating 1/5. Disaster

this is not your gourmand vanilla, it's a spa/massage center scent, more on the masculine side if you wanna wear it. i only use it as a bathroom air freshener. not a fan.

Lovely for a minute of 2, then it turns dusty on my skin and it lasts all day. Not a fan :(

Just like Forest Ritual, This is not a perfume or ETD, it's aerosol deodorant, and a very masculine one at that! And I'm not one to shy away from masculine scents. 0/10

This is an excellent little cheapie made by a fabulous Italian company, Tesori d'Oriente. Some of their perfumes are obvious dupes (Fiore del Dragone - Hypnotic Poison; Jasmin di Giava - Angel; Byzantium - Loukhoum; etc.), while others are original creations, in recent years strongly leaning towards the sweet side of things (e.g., Fior di Loto, Ayurveda, Karma, etc.), as the market trends dictate. While the list of notes suggests that Vaniglia e Zenzero might be one of those obnoxiously sweet scents, fortunately, that's not the case. The vanilla here is very pleasant and not too sweet (some reviewers have correctly observed its similarity to Yves Rocher's sadly discontinued Vanille Noire), and it is perfectly offset by soft spicy and woody notes. It smells like caramelised milk, or rice pudding with vanillin sugar! If this is your vibe, then have no qualms about purchasing this little gem, as it only costs a few euros and performs much better than some ridiculously overpriced niche sh*te.

After being a fan of the Tesori d'Oriente line for many years, and after trying all of their fragrances, I can confidently say that the scents that smell and perform best are Fior di Loto, Hammam and Royal Oud dello Yemen (which has a strong Dr. Pepper vibe as well). Combined with the shower gel or cream bath, they perform for many hours and are quite noticeable by other people. Of course, this is my personal opinion based on my skin chemistry and compatibility with these 3 particular scents.

Uhm, I don't know, I purchased it after a short sniff, I didn't try it on my skin, now I can say it's quite strong, too strong for me but I have to admit that it really smells of genuine vanilla and ginger. I believe the aromas and smells of Madagascar are truly represented here because it shares similarities with Kenzo 5,40 pm in Madagascar and the Vanille Sauvage de Madagascar of Maison de la Vanille. An earthy and woody unisex vanilla, worth trying considering the price.

I expected from this scent to be more sparkling, airy. What i have is vanilla essence we add to cakes mixed with Indian incense ( pure sandalwood ). It gives you a smell of a store with Indian ethnic stuff, covered in dust, because nobody visits it. It is a very stormy, rainy warm day here in London, so I will try it in more cold and dry weather, maybe it will change ? As for now I regret I spent £8.99 on it, could have baked a nice cake for it, and eat it.

insanely nice vanilla, omg. I don't smell the spiciness of the ginger much, but I do smell a bit of woody notes which I looooove.

It reminds me of men's Cologne I was expecting vanillic warm scent but it's not
