Dandelion Musk 4160 Tuesdays

First smell : tester at Louise’s, sat in front of the TV. Thinking, it’s a cardboard box with the dried camomile dust lingering in the folds. Nice to embody a familiar cupboard scent. Today’s smell : Sarah greets us at the studio and unleashes the tester cabinet upon us. Didn’t put two and two together that it’d be a chamomile essential oil in the mix, but its potency makes sense now. Try out a colossal amount of scents and don’t follow Sarah’s advice to step outside intermittently, to ward off the nose-blindness. Buy 30ml of Dandelion and a tester of Pirate Queen (salty barrel = good). The musk is enduring, and when I spray it twice onto (other) Sarah’s wrists at Victoria station (and once on mine), I feel sure that a non-perfume person will enjoy the perfume of tea, sun, and soft skin. Move wrist to nose on the train journey home and enjoy the thought that (other) Sarah might be doing the same.

This is a rare and very special thing - a green scent that lasts and lasts. Smells sweet and wet, like dew and hay, with enough soft, clean (ambrette/carrot?) musk and floral notes that it's not too 'weird' for everyday wear, that dries down from a huge cloud of grass clippings to a sweet, green skin scent that keeps going all day. Perfect for humid summer days when most things that smell 'fresh' will dissipate in a matter of minutes. Also very warm and sunny without any of the typical 'solar' white floral or coconut suncream notes.

Wow! A pretty, loving scent. The scent of a vibrant, feminine Mum. This is a hold them in a hug a bit longer fragrance. I love the fresh chamomile aspect to this soft, musky/rose fragrance. You can spray this around a room and it is inoffensive. It smells like the list of notes. It is very pleasant. If you are looking for a scent of a youngish busy Mum or the MIL then not a bad bet. They can feel comfortable wearing this anywhere at anytime of year. Not bad longevity and sillage in this 18 degree room.

This has Ambroxan in it, which is a shame. it ruins an otherwise great opening.

Dry, scratchy chamomile, herbal geraniums and then just a whole lot of rose. Strangely this scent seems to share an awful lot of floral similarities with Dancing With Strangers from the same collection, so much so that this could be a flanker of it. However, Dandelion Musk is, as the name would suggest, a lot muskier, and also more biscuity. Wearing it makes you feel a gentle solar warmth, like sitting in a sunny meadow.

Light green floral scent, dries down to musk and chamomile. The musk is light which is great I worried it would be too heavy. Doesn't project as much as I would like stays close to the skin but lasts for ages.
