Blue Heart

I tried this fragrance 3 times. The first 2 times I tried in store at Saks and the note that stood out the most was the saffron, as it should because it’s a top note. In store the saffron was very leathery. It was just too potent for my liking. The 3rd time I got a sample and tried it on at home. I was confused and thought that I was accidentally given a sample of something else because this time I didn’t get that heavy leather saffron note. This time the saffron was smooth and suede like. The coconut is powdery. The vanilla, & tonka bean add a lightly sweet and creamy touch. The Amber and musk makes this slightly warm. I’m sold. I love it. I couldn’t stop sniffing my wrist. A full bottle is definitely in my near future. This is a coconut scent that is perfect for any season. This by the way smells nothing like andromeda. I love andromeda as well but andromeda is very summery. It’s fruity and floral, slightly fresh and powdery. They’re both great scents but are two diff profiles. They do have similar notes but andromeda has a-lot more going on. They do however pair well together.

I traded my bottle of Moon Glory blindly for this. I am so happy I did so! This is my first Thameen. The blue bottle is an elegant addition to any collection. The earthy opening here is unique and alluring. The warm spice carries throughout this beauty as it becomes a fruity, soft, powdery gem with a delicate woodiness to balance the transition. Performance is fantastic, good sillage and longevity. I don’t want to clear a room but I want to be told I smell nice. This does that. Want to princess it up? Layer it with an earthy vanilla, try Celine ZouZou. Want more wood and freshness? Layer with Another 13 or anything Iso E Super forward. More coconut? Try this with Nest’s Balinese Coconut Oil. General musings: I wouldn’t blind buy this, but I would consider this fragrance signature scent worthy. It’s safe year round and would be very appropriate in any daytime environment. I wouldn’t hate this on a man but I don’t think I would understand it. Headache provoking - not for me.

I bought this when it was first released as a Harrod’s exclusive. Blind bought it 😊 I didn’t know what to think of it at first... I kept getting blasts of alcohol. I let it macerate and then I was able to realize it was the musk note. Some musks do that to me for whatever reason... HOWEVER, I came to LOVE this. I left my office only to walk back in and got a wiff of my beautiful siage! This explains the tons of compliments I’d get wearing it. It lasts all day and layers wonderfully with the Musk 2 lotion from BBW. Or even their Beach fragrance. I just finished the bottle and may get another. This garnered compliments from men and women alike.. crazy. They smelled what took me almost a year to understand and appreciate. Signature scent worthy. Year round wearable but PERFECT for spring/summer.

I’ve been eyeing this for ages but found it to be too expensive. So glad I finally pulled the trigger. Firstly, the atomizer? Whatttt? It’s so good. How come more brands don’t make them like this? Chefs kiss really. Then the scent itself. So I’m a slt for a good coconut, it’s my favorite note especially when it’s not in a beachy kind of way. Blue Heart is warm, fresh, spicy, creamy and just sultry altogether, and in the deep base there is this earthy nots that makes it super interesting and slightly dark. I haven’t worn anything since I bought this. I wear it everywhere, to bed, to dinner, to sofa potato-ing. I am in love and I’m gonna need a backup bottle.

This is such a beautiful scent. In the opening I get a creamy scent that smells of coconut, woods and sweetness on my skin. The coconut is light and airy, and not overly strong. The saffron and cypriol balances the sweetness, making it unisex. When I wanted a more feminine feel, I've layered it with jasmine absolute oil that I keep at home and it becomes very close to Memo Paris Lalibela on my skin. I should add that I can see it being a challenging scent for some, so please don't blind buy it and it's really strong (for me at least) so couple of sprays and I'm good to go.

Going off of a sample I have and having Peregrina they are a bit similar to my nose! on the other hand unfortunately as beautiful as this scent is (I prefer it over Peregrina) there is not much sillage. At initial spray and start of drydown I even thought it slightly similar to blu indaco but here the orris definitely comes through strong and then it dries down to a gorgeous coconut, saffron vanilla mix. It is too bad that on me I get no sillage!

Absolutely adore this fragrance. It’s deep and rich yet never cloying and I feel it can be worn all year (maybe evenings in summer). The main notes that make this a fantastic scent are the mix of saffron and coconut which are prominent and the Cypriol in the base that acts as a clean oud to anchor the perfume. Very unique in my opinion and very addictive for those enjoy this kind of scent profile, but I don’t believe it is blind buy safe

Love this fragrance if you’re not into Saffron Oudy scents then you might not like this. Was a blind buy and I adore it 🙌🏼 I hugged someone and the scent went onto them. They came back and asked me what I’m wearing and they purchased it immediately. To me it’s smells like if Instant Crush and Erba Pura had a baby Scent 9/10 Longevity 9/10 Sillage 8/10 Gorgeous fragrance, 4th fragrance from the house going to explore more👌🏽

In a league of its own. I can’t stop wafting my wrist in my face. There’s just something about the thameen DNA that’s seductive & addictive without fail. This isn’t your regular sugary sweet, tropical or toasted coconut- this is different. It’s warm, spicy, earthy and slightly buttery with coconut traces lingering. This is my 3rd Thameen frag and this one did not disappoint. It’s deep yet powdery. Well done.

This is a very appealing, soft vanilla with a touch of coconut. I love how the coconut blends in with the rest of the notes and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. It has terrific longevity, projection is so so. In terms of usability this ranks for me the same as Vanille Leather by BDK - elevated, sophisticated, and inviting. Definitely on my watch list whenever this will go on discount.

well, i should’ve bought the 100ml bottle instead of the 50ml. this is just GORGEOUS. absolutely beautiful!! sweet but not heavy, coconutty but not beachy or tropical, can definitely pick up the saffron and powdery orris. had my eye on this for a long time now and so happy to finally own it.

My 2ML sample smelled like Queen Of Silk which I love. However, I could smell the vanilla here. Unfortunately, the scent disappeared by the time I sprayed QOS to compare. It did still have great longevity atleast 9 hours. I do see the comparison to grease though (with both scents) lol.

This one performs like a BEAST on me. 2 sprays and the whole room smells like the perfume- it's insane how stunning it is. Gorgeous powdery coconut with saffron in the front and warm sweet vanilla with a hint of musk at the back. Love this stuff!

This fragrance is amazing. Not very strong on vanilla, the powdery qualities are not headache inducing, the coconut is creamy. This fragrance, although pretty strong, does not hit one in the face. It's like smelling something edible.

Oh my word, why does this have to be so good!? Part of the appeal is that something is slightly off in this tricky but great creation. Honestly amazing scent but I can't really describe it, get yourself a sample. Strong and quality.

This is spectacular. The opening reminds me very much of Initio Paragon and Libre Le Parfume-both of which I LOVE. I'm getting a heavy dose of lavender but it's not a listed note so not sure where it's coming from.

Majestic. Do they planing, maybe, to make shower for bathing? I would be in that water for hours :) Only because of this fragrance. Can feel sounds of beauty in it.

Very well thought out refreshing summery blend. Performance is decent - over 9 hours I like to pair it up with CDG Wonderoud

Such a unique scent! Absolutely love it and the performance is also great.

Light creamy coconut with a very honeyed saffron, a fresh opening that smells more like a standard ginger-citrus combo than the given note pyramid. A faint suede accord from the saffron and powdered orris must be what give it the effervescent feel. The baser notes emphasize the creamy sweetness and it picks up a melon-like fruitiness as it dries down. Moderately strong projection stays consistent for the first couple hours before settling over 3-4hr, longevity 12hr+. Oddly doesn't smell much like its advertised notes. I understand the comparisons to Erba Pura and Accento, with the fruitiness it picks up, but they're not remotely similar. Also not similar to Le Beau, which has a much denser coconut.

To be fair, this fragrance may have been overhyped by influencers as something lifechanging. And while it doesn't live up to that high standard--at least not to my nose--it is good. For the price, I need it to change my life or, at least, move the needle a bit, but it doesn't. It's inoffensive, clean, and good to wear all year. I like it, but don't love it. At any rate, I can appreciate that it falls into the "good" category :-)

I just want to leave it here as a counter-comment (not down-voting Demani's opinion!) that to my nose this has nothing in common with the Erba pura musc. I tested this scent several times properly. Edit: And I have had Erba pura for over a year now. UPDATE: I stand corrected. This does leave the very same musk smell ON CLOTHES as Erba Pura leaves on clothes. Haven't experienced this on skin with any of them.

On me it smells leathery and a bit masculine leaning. What it exactly smells like, I really don’t know. Until now, it is the only “leather” perfume I can stand on me. Safran note has not been problematic for me, I wear it also when wearing some of my other perfumes. Despite some kind of rotten note (nagarmotha?), it smells pleasant and even a bit addictive to me.

You would think a combination of coconut and saffron would make for a dry smell. But Blue Heart is a sweet and creamy fragrance. I'm enjoying how unique it is and quite unlike anything in my collection. I get some bright fruity facets in the opening although none are listed. I pick up a powdery tonka in the dry down and a musk that is quite sexy and beguiling.

@justfrang1 I have this and I frequently layer this with oils from SunnaMusk. It works particularly well with Egyptian Musk and Golden Dust, both go beautifully with this. Really helps the saffron come out and helps with the projection.

I don’t understand what’s going on with my nose and this scent! I don’t pick up one note that is listed and I should love this. All I get is strong fruity sour gummy worms?? Very strong and lasts even after a shower and plenty of soap.

This is a slightly lighter and airier Creed Queen of Silk. I have both and I think I prefer this because of the airy nature that is has.

Has the same type of musk that is in Erba pura It's the only thing that I can smell and it's making it unbearable to wear and smell

There’s quite a lot happening in the opening, and I’m not even sure where to begin trying to explain it. I’m getting a creamy, vanilla laced, slightly lotiony vibe right off the bat. While this is a coconut fragrance, it’s not tropical or beachy at all. I wouldn’t have even picked that there was much coconut in it. Instead, it feels cozy, warm, and fuzzy...like a soft blanket rather than a Pina Colada. There’s definitely a synthetic edge here, and while I do appreciate the uniqueness, I sort of feel like this smells as though you've layered two perfumes together that don't entirely mesh? I can absolutely see the appeal, and I can also understand why some might find it off putting. For now, I’m a little stumped and unsure how I feel. I will give it a proper wear and report back. EDITED TO ADD- While I still feel a little confused by this perfume, I've decided it smells a bit too artificial for me. It is a bit nauseating after a while. My husband describes this is 'airy, ghostly (?) and synthetic'. He also thinks it's quite different, but its not a love for either of us.

I went on a journey with this. I went light the first time I sprayed this, and the scent was faint. Then 10 minutes later, bang! It was so strong. I got dry coconut husk and saffron. But it was not tropical or sweet. It is a unisex scent to my nose. The second time I wore this I loved it. The performance is great.The scent trail fascinating and intriguing, I would get whiffs of the coconut and saffron for hours. Then on the third wear I hated it. After trying this multiple times, in cold and warm weather, I figured out that it is the base that does not agree with my body chemistry. Some reviews say it powdery... I did not get that on my skin. Below, Spinsugar86 said it smells like walking into Pier One, and she is correct. I love the opening and the mid, but the cypriol oil turns rubbery on my skin and in warmer weather its smells like vegan leather. I really appreciate the artistic effort that went into this perfume. This is the first scent that smells like the color blue to me. But unfortunately it was a fail. 4/10.

I’m struggling with this fragrance. Thameen seems to emphasise that this is vanilla with a twist but I get no vanilla at all. The first time I tried this I found the musk and coconut to be prominent with an underlying whiff of sweat or something slightly dirty and sour. I’m sure it’s the cypriol oil. Funnily enough, about 20 minutes after I sprayed this my partner walked into the room and said that the fragrance I’d sprayed smelled like unwashed hair. My hair was freshly washed so it was definitely the perfume haha. Subsequent wearings elicited the same reaction and I do see where he’s coming from. He never comments on my fragrances but this one has really left us both unimpressed.

Blue Heart is really interesting and nostalgic at the same time. It opens with cool, powdery iris and orris, softened by airy saffron and clean white musk. As it dries down, it takes on a nostalgic, almost vintage feel, reminding me of a small white hotel soap bar. It's original, elegant, and unlike anything else I've smelled. I enjoyed wearing it because it feels like a truly original creation, but I couldn't quite picture myself reaching for it often or imagine an occasion where I would choose to wear it. If you love powdery iris and clean musks with a subtle old-school elegance, this is definitely worth trying.

Sweet floral woody musk from this under the radar niche brand that rarely disappoints. The perfume opens with aromatic notes of saffron and coconut moving to a heart of orris, tonka bean and vanilla before settling into a powdery synthetic musk base accentuated by amber and cypriol. The slight feminine leaning scent has moderate to strong projection and good longevity. Overall a slight confection from a house that has many more heavy hitter offerings that will please lovers of sweet syrupy scents. Enjoy!

Every Thameen fragrance I've tried I felt was really solid, so I was really hoping to like this. I found Blue Heart to be almost nauseatingly sweet, though. I could still see myself finding it pleasant on someone else... from a distance... with a breeze. But I'm a bit overwhelmed wearing it myself.

This one isn't soapy, but it is clean; it's more of a like a body gel smell. Very melon-y, gooey and dewy smelling. I get the comparisons to Erba Pura - yea melon-y floral type smell that leads to a vanilla dry down. don't dislike it, but can't say I'm enjoying either - v neutral

someone in the comments said it smells like a car freshener and I can't put it in a better way, the base nodes really do the top nodes are fine but again they last for 5 minutes. The base is what sticks for a long time and its basically a car freshener.

Sweet vanilla with hint of coconuts, saffron, musk. Linear, not much outstanding. Lack of character. Rather for grownup, polite woman. Less sophisticated but same area as Byredo. Weak silliage.

Deeply boring masculine designer profile, of the sweet fruity “club scent” variety. These days it’s much more enticing to smell this sort of thing on a woman than a man, but ladies who like this should look past the marketing and just grab themselves a bottle of Le Beau or Eros or whatever. Thameen have really weighed down their line-up with inconsequential chaff. This is the first one to truly depress me. The nicest thing I can say is, if you’re looking to smell so much like a nightclub that you’re driven to drink like a character in some grindingly sad Hungarian novel, here’s something to make your heart blue.

This was an okay scent for me. Beautiful saffron note, little similar to BR540 Extrait (maybe the heavy saffron notes) but way too masculine for me. I do love unisex scents but this is too masculine in my opinion. And I do have to add that I don’t like coconut note in perfumes. And I do smell too much coconut in here.

Simple review. Smells of Parma violet sweets with something else in the background. I would say this is unisex. Definitely not my favourite frag from the thameen house. Riviere, green pearl, carved oud and royal sapphire are all much nicer, masculine (green pearl not that masculine) and wearable for myself.

I am getting a leathery facet from this which I am guessing must be coming from the saffron. I don't really enjoy the smell of leather so this one isn't for me. This is definitely not a safe blind buy - proceed with caution if you're sensitive to leathery notes!

I smelled this once and really liked it but now I’m not so sure about it since I got the bottle. Can someone recommend layering combinations?

Wow. This is so so horrible. One of the most terrible perfumes I have EVER sprayed on my skin. Unfortunately, it is impossible to wash off as well. I have scrubbed and scrubbed my hand and even put various lotions on it to get rid of the smell but I can still smell it. This is nauseatingly, headache-inducingly TERRIBLE.

Skip this. Just another generic saffron/oud trend scent. Better quality than Empressa or Halfeti, but has a nearly identical effect. Very synthetic and eternal. Had hoped for a more noticeable orris/coconut/vanilla combo, but this dries down to that saffron/oud note that's in everything now. Hard pass.

Happy to see this finally got added to the database. I’ve had it for almost 3 months now and I really love it. It was a blind buy for me that did not disappoint. I will say you HAVE to like musk to enjoy this scent as there is a lot of it but I definitely get the beautiful coconut and saffron notes as well. I find this fragrance to be unique as I haven’t smelled a combo like this. I also find it addictive to smell but I don’t think this is a blind buy safe fragrance. For what it’s worth though, it’s gotten me a lot of compliments. I wear my perfumes to the gym since I’m there everyday so I put them to the test in hot/humid situations constantly and that’s when I found this fragrance to really come alive and radiate. It’s also where I received the majority of the compliments on it. I could smell my scent trail as I was walking back and forth from the bench to get weights. Performance wise it is moderate. Not a beast but she’s not shy either. It performs nicely and leaves a good trail for the first 3 hours for me then settles closer to the skin. I do wish it performed better because I really love the scent profile but I’m happy to top up and over spray this one. Just know if you are going out for a whole day that you’ll need to top up but if you are only going to be out for 3-4 hours you’ll be good. I’ve tried so many from this house and a lot of them have performance issues, seems to be a theme for the majority of them but that’s the only negative I have to say about the house as a whole as they create beautiful scents and I enjoy the bottles. As I said it performs nicely in high heat, not sure how it will do in the cold. I have a feeling it won’t be as good of a performer in colder climates and the scent profile reminds me more of the spring/summer anyways but I’ll find out once fall and winter hit. This scent leans more feminine to me but a man could pull it off too. Wear what you want ;)

Some of these comparisons, I'm like, "what?" No, it does not smell like Erba Pura, no it does not smell like Kirke, Tabit, or Andromeda. Must be the musk that's making people think it smells like TT frags. Honestly, it's kind of odd. I think it's a coconut fragrance more geared towards men, tbh. If there's anything it gives me vibes of, it's Kajal Lamar, sub the pineapple for coconut. Very musky, i'd honestly categorize it as a freshie, as my perfumes are all categorized by genre and I struggled to place this somewhere as it's not really tropical. The coconut is very dry and I honestly wish they would have amped up that note by like 100%. At first, I didn't know what to think and regretted not getting a sample first. I know, I know, y'all said it wasn't blind buy safe, but I like to live dangerously, and I've had some really damn good blind buys in the past. I first layered it with Coconut Sun, nope. Utopia Vanilla Coco made it ok. I think this just needs a couple more weeks of wear time and I'm going to wear it when the temps get over 100. I think I might find it refreshing then. So, yes, get yourself a sample and don't believe the hype. Anytime influencers do a dedicated review for just one fragrance, it's typically because the brand has asked them to and they're getting a check for it. A good dry coconut fragrance, Coconut Sun or Coconut Fizz is perfect from Guerlain. Yes, it's discontinued, but I think it's worth the price if you can get it fairly for a dry (non-creamy) coconut perfume. I'm hoping this is like Silky Woods. I did not like that at first and now it's a big love for me. More to come....oh, and the saffron, there's something in it that reminds me more of Greenwich Village by Bond No. 9. The saffron in this is similar to the saffron in that one. Also, the dry down of Oud Juane Intense smells like Blue Heart but with a smokiness.

I had to give this away to a friend because I just could not get it. This was a blind buy fail and I rarely buy expensive perfumes full price BLINDLY and this is why. I paid full price from So Avant Garde and I was so excited. All the perfume reviewers seemed to be loving this one and it just did not smell good on me AT ALL, same with Rosendo Mateu #5 (it was pulling 'burning tires' on me). My friend, however, loved this one and it smelled way better on her so I gifted it to her for her sobriety birthday. Nice gift, right? It was pretty much brand new in the box. I'm sure I could have sold it on Mercari but I knew that at least it worked with her chemistry, much better than on mine. Musk's are not all created equal and some musk's pull strange on me. Between the Nagarmotha, saffron, musk, and coconut-she was not playing nicely on me and it wasn't even a like for me, it was a dislike and I did not want to smell this on me, I tried though. This is NOT a safe blind buy and I suggest you get a sample and try it on your skin before buying it. It's popular and not offered on discount websites yet either. I take that back! It's only $139 on Jomashop now, much cheaper than the $220 I paid for it!

When I first wore this I didn’t even know how much hype there was around Blue Heart. All I knew was that I couldn’t immediately place the notes and it lasted most of the day. It was my boss’s favorite fragrance and since she owns a niche perfumery I put some stock in it. Regardless, I didn’t come around until a year later. I’d joke with customers that our Blue Heart tester was almost empty because the store owner loves it. I’d spray a bit for them and move on. Then one day it struck me how beautiful it was. I noticed the subtle coconut didn’t pull off as sunscreen to my nose. I live in Florida. It’s hard to break that coconut = sunscreen association. I smell a lot of fragrance and this is different. It reminds me of the creativity of Sora Dora’s Mandorle making a cherry fragrance with no cherry note. It was then I felt the artistry of Blue Heart. I started reading the reviews and they reminded me that if you like something then just stop there. The associations with certain frags in the comments was pulling my head into interpreting this as something it’s not. It’s a good fragrance, office safe, doesn’t change much in the dry down and lasts 7 hours on my skin. Enjoy.

I really really like this one. Not sure yet if I love it. The opening instantly reminds me of something like br540 or instant crush (like another reviewer has commented). It's just the initial blast of (by now) recognisable saffron. The perfume as a whole smells nothing like those other two. I get a bit of coconut here in the way it is done in santal complet (again the perfumes are very different, it's just a feeling/vibe that I get that is similar). I'm not sure I would necesarilly qualify this as a summer scent per se. I might change my mind as it gets colder but I think this can work all year round. It's a very easy to like scent. In my opinion (but you wear what you want) it definitely leans feminine. I found this for a great price so I'm happy with my bottle and I will get quite some wear out of this! (smells nothing, really nothing, like erba pura. It's also more airy/fuffy (in the way br540 is airy/fluffy) than luna dulcis, that one is sweet sweet sweet vanilla coconut. One I also really really like by the way).
