Dark, mysterious, royal. Smoky, almost reaching barbecue level, yet that same smokiness teleports you to the evenings in Courchavel, where cold evening air would be filled with the smell of fireplace, or could teleport you to London’s Shepard Market♥️ Quiet luxury. Love it very much, however I understand those who find it too heavy and intimidating. Definitely a late autumn/winter scent, not to be over sprayed. Not a safe blind buy, but definitely a must try.

Such an elegant sharp pepper rose fragrance. Don't know if anybody else is smelling rose or mixed ingredients giving me the rose scent. Performance - excellent from the first spray.

#33 on my Fragrance Review Journey It took me two full wears to appreciate this. Its opening is similar to Tiziana Terenzi Laudano Nero but much toned down. It stays in the aura for 1-1.5 hours, then it transitions. It becomes ambery and floral, though I see nothing floral in the notes. From there, a touch of sweetness. On my second wearing to work, everyone that stopped in my office complimented me. A couple of my coworkers ask me if it was a type of rose sent. Nonetheless, everyone was looking it up on their own afterwards. This fragrance is intimate. You have a small scent bubble around you that is not offensive in any way. I don't believe you need to over spray this. But even if you do, you don't have to worry about choking out anyone including yourself. It will last you at least 8 hours on skin and much longer on clothes. You will find that you can't stop sniffing yourself while wearing this. It is a fragrance with layers. This was another blind buy purchase that I am quite happy with. 9/10 I wish it projected a little bit more.

This immediately reminded me of Epic Woman, and I see now it's leading the pack in the "reminds me of" section, so I decided to do a side by side test on each wrist to see how similar they really are. As they get into the heart of the drydown, this one is notably sweeter (in a resinous sweet way, not sugary), and has a spikier incense note- bolstered by the sharp pepper. There's no caraway here, which is prominent in Epic & I can't discern as much rose, which is pretty central to Epic. Epic also has a vanillic underpinning that is creamy and dense. I feel like Imperial Crown is thinner and brighter- Epic is smoother and more deeply layered. So there's actually quite a bit of difference despite definitely counting as a "reminds me of" level of similarity. If you gravitate toward the Epic profile, but it's not quite the one for you you should check this out. This is on the more stereotypically masculine end of the perfume spectrum than Epic. - sharing that to be informative even though I DGAF about those rules ;)

Pretty and sophisticated woody aromatic from this reliable line of fine luxurious fragrances. The central lovely Omani frankincense note is first surrounded by elemi resin and peppery notes. As it settles, one detects guaiac wood and slight leather. The perfume settles on a powdery base of synthetic musk and patchouli. The unisex scent has moderate sillage and very good longevity. Pleasant and unobtrusive, a scent that can be worn almost anytime and in any setting. Enjoy!

Elegant, smells expensive...but, very poor performance on my skin. Low projectivity and longevity, more of a skin scent, especially after the first hour.

Smoky, fruity pepper bomb. The elemi adds a bit of lemony freshness, along with the fruity nuances of frankincense, but the peppers are intense. Coarsely ground rough texture, very earthy with a hint of sweetness. Consistent moderately strong projection for 3-4hr, longevity 12hr+.

The opening is too crass and chaotic for my nostrils, but the drydown reminds me of Clive Christian No. 1. for Men.

A cool-tone note with a thyme-like herbal freshness (is that incense?), shines like stars on a backdrop of dense, powder-dry, "flat", very sweet ambery tone. It doesn’t have that high acidity of Somali frankincense CO2, perhaps this is some other type of incense? A very pleasant smell, what it lacks in layers and depth, it compensates with intensity. It strive to spell “luxury” from head to toe. But if you’re well versed in this type of scent, you get tired of it very quickly.

Intense but calming effervescent olibanum with spice from the peppers, with the subtle sweetness of a rosey pink pepper. Has a slightly rugged dirty base with some sweet resinous elemi, which becomes less clear when it dries into a sweet rose. This is lovely but a straight rip from Amouage's Epic Woman, it's slightly more rugged and incensy which actually makes it more similar to Epic 56, despite that coming out later, though it makes this redundant regardless. Leans more masculine than epic woman to me. I own this and I got a sample of epic woman, that would be my preference. I layer this with something soft and mildly sweet with good staying power and it becomes a little more reminiscent of epic woman to me. I live in a hot dry climate , and travel mostly to hot humid climate. I can’t justify cost per use for epic woman based on my lifestyle and location. I blind bought imperial crown . Would not recommend blind buying either of these.

This really reminds me of tent camping. Smell like dirt, outdoors and earthy... I really enjoy the smell. I don’t think I’ll buy a whole bottle ( being a female and this is definitely more masculine leaning) but I will use up my decanter. This is a great fragrance for manly men..... outdoorsy men . The dry down wonderful and warming... again so reminds me of a camping trip in northern Wisconsin in the middle of August ... dirt, pine and sun

There's a popular drink called kissel in some Eastern European countries. It's basically a berry mors/juice thickened with cornstarch. It has a very specific smell, and I smell it here in the opening. Also lychee and lipstick. A little bit of incense, but it's not a main player here. It's unusual and delicious, but smells more like ointment than a perfume.

Royal pepper and olibanum only for those who dare and want to stand out. It is so well blended that I cannot recognise where this freshness is coming from. Classy scent, it successfully unites modernity and "old school" style. More masculine but could be worn by women too.

Initially a soft, powdery rose and ginger. Develops into saffron, nutmeg, frankincense, a medicinal note, vanilla and a cold amber accord. Pleasant but honestly, it makes me feel nothing at all.

Not saying they smell the same but if you like Amouage Interlude Black Iris this will be right up your street! I bought this by accident but what a mistake! This is stunning juice!

Meh, underwhelming copy of "Amouage - Epic Women", just weaker and not as nearly long lasting with a few different top notes.

The absolute best. 10/10. So fresh and powerful! The name says what it is and what i does. Pure self love.

Strongly resembles the Epic line from Amouage. Slightly different in drydown. Great fragrance!
