Very bright, mostly--zesty, fresh, green, sometimes slightly powdery or fizzy--but adequately complex, with just enough pepper, sweat, musk, wood (cool, semi-minty cedar in particular), semi-waxy elemi, and so on to prevent it from smelling like citrus body wash or all-out barbershop cologne. Although this doesn't smell Italian in the sense of smelling naturalistic or straightforward, it has a certain deceptive lightness of touch that makes me think of the Italian concept of sprezzatura, i.e. a kind of studied informality. This stuff has the makings of that in spades. It's unusually well balanced and, to my nose, very, very good. Possibly as good a springtime Oriental fougère as I'll smell--springtime because of the grassy-green combination of vetiver, cedar, etc.--but probably useful for much of the time from spring to autumn, when the sun's out, though probably not on a super-hot day. Oh, and... this stuff really lasts.

A lovely aromatic Oriental Fougere this is a fresh invigorating scent from Thameen. The perfume opens with essences of citrus rinds, green peppers and sage. The dense heart is lavender, cumin and ginger. The perfume settles on a powdery base of cedar, vetiver, guaiac, sandalwood and musk. Unisex, masculine leaning with moderate sillage and good longevity. Nicely blended and uplifting scent. Enjoy!

Most of the Thameen offerings I’ve tried have a common “dryness” to them. This one is different and I’m really liking it. Ginger and cumin are most prominent at the top, the cumin not being overpowering at all. It’s always there and it’s a bit sweaty but I like that part of it. Lavender comes out about 10 minutes in with the cumin still hanging around. The dry down to me is a spicy lavender with a bit of citrus. This was a blind buy for me and a very good one at that. Best Thameen fragrance yet. IMHO.

Safe blind buy in my opinion. Beautiful fragrance, light and fresh. Excellent performance.
