Nassak

A nice rose centered Floriental, this is a lovely but redundant offering from Thameen. The perfume opens with the central Taif rose note surrounded by notes of plum and saffron. The woody heart contains cedar and sandalwood. The perfume settles into a powdery animalic base of musk and ambergris sweetened by slight vanilla and tonka bean. The unisex perfume has moderate to strong sillage and very good longevity. This is your Rose Oud scent without the Oud. Enjoy!

I’m on my third wearing of Nassak, and I’m definitely picking up Oud. On my skin the Oud, saffron and rose notes are equal in strength during the opening, with the saffron note mellowing during the dry down. I agree with rbalkris: Nassak is not unique. This smells like a lot of rose/Oud/saffron Middle Eastern scents, but the high quality ingredients—and the lighter than normal Oud note—make Nassak more wearable for westerners. Stellar longevity and overall performance, the scent stays in my clothes even after repeated washings. If you like Rose-Ouds, Nassak is one to put on the test list.

this begins with rose, saffron, tonka and plum. something smells a bit smoky or leathery, bordering on rubbery. it smells like tonka and leather i believe. at this point, after a few minutes the rose is relegated to the background, though it is a gorgeous rose. after about 20 minutes on the skin it's back to mostly rose and plum with a hint of saffron and leather. gorgeous scent, i may need a bottle one of these days...

This is more subtle version of dubai emerald bond no 9 but longer lasting. Strong sillage in first 15 minutes then gradually weaker till become close to the skin. The good side is longevity, I still able to slightly smell it on my skin even after 10+ hour

Thank you to '215alive' for the pyramid. I told the young lady at the Thameen Corner, that there is oud in this fragrance - but she insisted, that there wasn't any. And I get the similarity to 'Oud Ispahan'
