Regent Leather

Fantastic scent with 12+ hour longevity (although only as a skin scent after 0.5-2 hours). On the arm with 4 sprays from a tester, it still smelled the morning after 24 hours of power. That's pretty damn impressive. Although only as a skin scent, it's still easily picked up close up. If applied to neck and behind ears, you'd pick it up when hugging, even 24 hours in. The scent is great. Nothing exceptional, but great. With a Heavy animalistic note and a nice leathery note. Vanilla and cardamom, too is prominent. I get a light chocolatey note as well. Possibly from the patchouli. It's a gourmand, animalic leather combo. Interesting mix. All in all, it's a very good perfume. It's leaning masculine to me. Especially because of the animalic and leathery note giving me a masculine vibe. Defenitely not a teeneger/youthfull scent. fall and Winter will fit best, but i can't say it's too heavy to wear all year around. Formal or casual. Personal score: 8.5/10. It's in the "really great" category for me, which means that if i end up wearing it enough to empty the sample, i'll probably buy it. It struggles with projection, but shines everywhere else. Not blind safe. Sample before you buy.

Thameen Regent Leather opens up with rich vanilla mixing with warm cardamom. The vanilla isn't gourmand here. The opening is beautiful, luxurious, and warm. It draws you in from your first breath until the last. As the heart opens up, Regent Leather shows that its leather is more of a softly sueded variety coming from the saffron. The sweetness of the saffron plays beautifully with the vanilla and cardamom creating a rich and cozy accord that makes you want to wrap yourself up in it. As the fragrance progresses to the base, the vanilla, suede, and cardamom are still the most prominent. However, smooth and dark patchouli with woody cedar join in to create a solid base for this fragrance to rest upon. Overall, what you get is a rich vanilla and cardamom dominant fragrance with a noticeable soft suede underneath. This is not a leather fragrance as much as it is a vanilla fragrance. I get the vanilla, cardamom, and patchouli/cedar combo predominantly. After 40 minutes I can detect the slightest hint of florals all sitting on a bed of smooth leather and labdanum. If I really dig my nose in it I THINK I can detect a clean musk, but honestly I don't know. It does seem to share a smililar ambery woody accord that are in many Thameen fragrances. This is a refined and classy vanilla. Projects nicely and performs well, 2 sprays will be enough. Probably work best for 25 and up. I could see a woman wearing this but I think it leans slightly masculine. I enjoy it and I think it is worth smelling.

This isn't leather heavy fragrance, like for example ombre leather or some fragrance from Memo. I personally dislike leather heavy fragrance and I really enjoyed wearing this one. It opens up with a bit of citrus but it quickly turn into a creamy woody scent with a leather background. On my nose this smells like, if you took Code Absolu and completely remove the effervescent feel from the fragrance and adds more woods and a touch of leather, but maintaining the sweetness from the vanilla. This smells very bold, smooth, and long lasting. If you don't mind the price tag, especially this is a middle eastern brand, you should definitely try this out

This is a very elegant perfume. The opening is spicy and a bit sweet but the dry down is more dark and mature. It is not very animalic or heavy as far the leather note is concerned. So if you do not prefer leather notes, this could be a good one for you. It is unisex but leaning masculine in my opinion. Office safe and can be used all year around but not in very hot days. It is very long lasting on skin and cloths but not projectile especially after the first 2-3 hours. Overall I give it 8/10 Price is the issue with most Thameen offerings

For me, most leather fragrances are either too harsh, animalic, intense or too mature. Therefore, this scent is great for me, regent leather should be named "vanille leather". It is sweet, abit spicy and leathery so very youthful and likeable. Unisex with moderate longevity, 2 first hours hugh projection and then get closer to the skin. Depends on your taste, if you want a artistic or bold leathery perfume, this is not for you. But if you like something that is wearable and people gonna love it then this is it.

It's more of a suede orientated fragrance than leather, which is crafted in a very subtle and soft way so it would have been labelled "Regent Suede"😊. It's captivating and addicting.The notes are harmoniously blended that upon smelling it on myself i get a almost hypnotizing sensation. Sillage is strong in the first minutes and longevity is great - For hours i get delicate whiffs. One of my preferred perfumes for the colder part of the year. Exquisite and luxuriously made fragrance.

Straight to the pleasure centres of my brain. I get more woodiness than leather, then vanilla/cardamon, rich in the opening and mid, leaning powdery and slightly sweet in the late drydown. But incredibly smooth throughout. This is Oud Wood crossed with Coromandel, then some Noir Extreme or Grand Soir thrown in. I've gone off on one I know. A special and worthy gift for a loved one. This is stunning, even allowing for the elevated price tag. 5/5

The scent here is, first and foremost, very refined and smooth. The main note is delicate leather that envelops everything, accompanied by perfectly balanced and subtle hints of vanilla, cardamom, and saffron. Really well blended perfume!The leather is not soo prominent and stays in the backgraound!The perfume smells spicey and vanilic with hint of leather. I think the fragrance is for fall and winter,but can be used in spring at the night time!The performance is really good and i dont know how someone can voting this perfume as a weak...

This is amazing! It is more of a vanilla and light suede/leather scent. Not as strong as other leather fragrances (ombre leather, tuscan leather) really masculine but not harsh or over powering. Definitely worth the price. The presentation is also very well cured and the bottle very luxurious. Sillage is polite.

Spicy vanilla leather, wonderfully done, there is a bit off rose and animalic idolicness, it smells off French vanilla and burned sugar ever so slight. This is a very well made perfume w high amount off natural oils, should have named it Angel Leather cause it feels like a cloudy heavenly leather w smooth edges

This fragrance is just heavenly. I love it.The name says “Regent Leather” but I can barely detect leather here. I mostly get pepper, lemon and a new car interior vibe with a very light leather touch. I can also smell some tamed oud and champagne in this. It smells airy and very luxurious.

This is quite an amazing scent! As usual with Thameen, very high quality. Great combination of leather and vanilla. Not a beast in terms of projections but lasts long and project well in this very subtle aura way. For the wearer, six sprays means you will be smelling it for hours!

Unique fragrance, I get a bit of leather but the overriding scent to me is like a dark-fruit type of smell, similar to a raspberry note with some vanilla and rose, so it’s almost a unisex scent. Slightly powdery. A very good fragrance that is also exclusive.

The combination of notes create a leather accord with grown-up vanilla. Picture this: you're wearing a suede jacket while riding in a brand new car with leather interior while wearing a masculine vanilla fragrance. Good stuff. Performs very well also

I love this scent. Sweet and spicy leather scent, but it is very smooth. Leans more masculine. Performance is good, but far from beast mode. Projection is moderate, longevity is up to 8 hours. I wish it performs a bit better for the price.

It is fantastic. One of my favourites ever. I usually also layer it with Aqua Di Parma Leather (the best leather fragrance on the market!), and the result is a luxurious one-of-a-kind scent!

Smooth, rich, vanillic leather

The Regent Diamond is one of the most famous diamonds in history, once set in the crowns of successive French emperors. That is where the name of this fragrance, Regent Leather, comes from. At the first spray, vanilla and cardamom appear immediately. The vanilla is quite noticeable, but it is not the creamy dessert type. Instead, it feels warm and soft, functioning more as a supporting note. The cardamom adds a light spiciness. Together they create a clear sense of structure right from the beginning, giving the opening a warm yet slightly spiced dimension with good depth. In the heart, leather begins to emerge. Interestingly, the leather here is rather light. It does not carry the heavy smokiness or strong animalic character often found in leather fragrances. Instead, it resembles soft suede. A touch of saffron sweetness also softens the leather further. The blending of vanilla, cardamom, and saffron feels very natural, and the scent becomes rounder and more comfortable. In the drydown, patchouli and cedar bring in a woody layer. However, the woods never dominate. Vanilla, suede, and cardamom are still noticeable, though closer to the skin. Throughout the fragrance, vanilla and cardamom remain present almost from beginning to end. The suede nuance is most prominent in the heart before gradually becoming wrapped in a soft woody base. The scent stays warm and smooth the entire time, without sharp contrasts. The structure feels clear and well layered. Longevity is around six to seven hours. Projection is fairly noticeable during the first three hours before gradually settling closer to the skin. In my view it leans slightly masculine. The overall character is rich with a touch of luxury, better suited to somewhat formal settings rather than very casual everyday wear.

Not gonna lie, Regent Leather from Thameen was a blind buy as I read, it does smell as leather used in luxury car ...aaand HELL YES it does and it’s amazing! To me it’s number one from the house. Unisex vanilla/leather fragrance leaning more masculine long lasting, projection is solid. It’s smooth, it’s sexy and I imagine spraying this before riding one of my luxury cars to impress a lady she will join me to a nice expensive restaurant. It’s all about mild sweet narcotic tones of vanilla, cardamon and creamy-soft “almost suede” leather. This is not a standard leather smell like you used to in other fragrances. It’s an upscale, semi-sweet, slightly citrusy leather! To me suites better in spring or fall weather and honestly many compliments received. Overall very recommended - it does bring me to situations when you buy something completely new from a store and it has a particular unique, characteristic smell you want to smell over and over again. Big thumbs up for this gem!

As Kyuu stated before me, It's not so much leather. You do get a hint of it, it's very subtle, but it's not dominate by any measure. It's a very "pretty" fragrance with a vanilla/cardamon/flowery mix and, I'm glad I paid 20 bucks for a sample instead of paying the 300+ for it. Not because it's bad, but for me, It's definitely better fit for a girl or woman than a guy in my humble opinion. One more thing I wanted to add that I noticed...The leather that I notice with this isn't the rugged type of leather like in other leather type fragrances... this is more of a corinthian luxury type of leather. I'd put it this way, if you like a soft, floral type of fragrance, this one is for you. For me, as a guy, it is a pass for me.

Really no mid here just a long opening and then a leather bomb that absorbs all the other notes. Thankfully the saffron (personal gripe with that note) dissipates toward dry-down. Not exactly a harmonious blend but still richer and more subtle on the skin than other leather scents I’ve tried. The leather seems natural but is still reminiscent of a handbag that’s been sprayed with generic perfume. Common theme with leather scents. I don’t see how this is listed as leaning masculine.. it’s unisex at best, at least to my nose. I can see a mature woman enjoying this unique leather bomb with subtle depth.

Very nice, it reminds me a lot of xerjoffs comandante, and might provide a semi cheaper alternative. I own comandante so there would be no point wearing this as they are around 80-85% similar especially the opening and mid. The dry down is more vanillic, performance is ok, first 3 hours is the majority of the fragrance's strength and then it turns into a skin scent for another 4 hours or so. If you are looking for leather, look elsewhere because it's not really there but if you like scents like comandante or mancera's blue notes, then this will be right up your alley.

This fragrance caught me by surprise. The opening is 100% feminine while the dry down has a miniscule masculine vibe. Nevertheless, it smells like a blend of 2/3 Oud Satin Mood and 1/3 Fahrenheit Le Parfum's drydown. The opening features a hyper-sweet candy accord, and in the dry down, there's a noticeable patchouli/vanillic/leathery scent. Emphasis on the hyper. It is like a nuclear fusion reactor about to explode. Very sweet with a slim suede undertone.

Silky smooth suede and vanilla scent. I don’t get vanilla in the opening, with the leather/suede being dominant, but in the dry down the vanilla creeps and mixes with the suede to balance it and make it more mass appealing. Smells a little boring to me as there’s other leather fragrances I enjoy more but I can’t deny that the quality of the scent is there.

If there’s any leather here, it’s very subtle. The fragrance is primarily a warm, spicy vanilla that isn’t overly sweet, which I really appreciate. It reminds me slightly of CH Men Prive, though it’s significantly better and more refined. Regent Leather has a sophisticated and polish, top-tier designer appeal.

Can't say enough good things about this frag. Excellent blend. Woody, masculine, comfortable. Oddly enough, it contains notes that I would otherwise pass on, but it all just blends so well that nothing really dominates. All the notes seem to harmonize into this pleasant experience. Very nice!

Today, I'm hopping over to the esteemed house of Thameen to cast a discerning eye upon my very first experience with their fragrances: Regent Leather. This is a house I've known about for quite some time, but never gotten around to exploring their offerings. I distinctly remember hearing about this particular fragrance on a list of someone's favorite leather scents, and my curiosity is now piqued, eager to discover if it resonates the same way with me. Let's get into it. Opening The opening of Regent Leather is a harmonious blend of sweet warmth, inviting spice, and embracing woodiness. The primary notes that immediately register are vanilla, saffron, cardamom, and cedar, with vanilla and saffron commanding the most attention. The vanilla takes the spotlight in the opening, presenting a cozy, sweet, and powdery accord. It does lean a bit synthetic, as opposed to smelling entirely natural, but I wouldn't consider it jarring. Trailing gracefully behind the vanilla comes the saffron, contributing a warm and gentle spiciness underscored by just a hint of dusty earthiness. Next, cardamom and cedar weave into the composition. The cardamom here announces itself with its familiar warm spiciness, with just a touch of that camphorous, medicinal quality that cardamom can sometimes possess. Lastly, the cedar lays a foundation of woodiness in the background, creating a sturdy platform for the other notes to perform upon. I also get hints of an animalic tone in the opening, but interestingly enough, the "animal note" listed here is not listed on Thameen's website. In fact, there is no dedicated leather note listed either. Instead, I am forced to assume this underlying animalic tone is a manifestation of the labdanum and musk notes. There are also whispers of the lemon in the top, but it's just barely there. Dry Down The dry down settles into a refined continuation of profound sweetness, delicate woodiness, and a distinct animalic character. The primary notes I continue to discern are vanilla, cedar, labdanum, and musk, with vanilla and labdanum holding the strongest positions. The vanilla remains a central highlight in the dry down, maintaining its characteristic creamy and powdery sweetness, albeit slightly softened from its initial intensity. Meanwhile, the labdanum has risen to prominence, providing a solid dose of ambery and distinctly leathery tones. I'm assuming this is where the fragrance gets its name from, since, as I stated, there is no dedicated leather note. This evolving core is then joined by cedar and musk. The musk has also emerged in the dry down, contributing an animalic muskiness that blends seamlessly with the leathery nuances, giving the dry down a distinctly leathery, animalic character. Lastly, the cedar still sits in the background as a sturdy, supporting woodiness. Performance The initial projection within the first hour is very strong, reaching out approximately six feet. Sillage is equally robust, leaving an easily noticeable scent trail. After about three to four hours, the projection had softened, settling to approximately five to six feet, and the scent trail, while lighter, was still perceptible. When I checked again at the seven-hour mark, the projection had died down considerably to about arm's length, and the scent trail was only faintly noticeable. This fragrance ultimately receded to a skin scent shortly thereafter. When to Wear Regent Leather presents itself as an ideal fall and winter fragrance, gracefully suited for evening wear. Its inherent intensity and attention-grabbing nature make it a perfect choice for a special occasion, and to a lesser extent, a formal occasion. For that same prominent and warm character, however, I would not typically select it for casual wear or for an office setting. Blind Buy I would not necessarily classify Regent Leather as a universally safe blind buy. However, if your curiosity extends to unique and subtly animalic sweet-woody fragrances, and you understand that the "leather" is an accord rather than a dominant note, it could be an intriguing exploration. This caution is mainly for two reasons: one, the noticeable animalic tinge, particularly in the dry down, might not be universally appreciated; and two, if someone were to blind buy this based on the name, expecting a rich and opulent, straightforward leather fragrance, I feel they would be disappointed. Final Verdict Regent Leather turned out to be a pleasant, if not somewhat confusing, first experience with the house of Thameen. For a fragrance with "Leather" right there in the name, it really focuses most of its attention on the vanilla, woods, and spices. As I stated, there is a "leathery/animalic" accord crafted through the labdanum and musk, but this is not what I would consider a prominent leather fragrance when compared to things like Tom Ford's Ombre Leather, or even something milder like Carolina Herrera's CH Men Prive. I also wasn't particularly impressed with the performance, being that it featured such heavy notes. Six to seven hours of noticeable presence, before becoming a skin scent, isn't necessarily what I would label as weak, but for a fragrance featuring such robust components, one might reasonably expect more endurance. Regardless, I am genuinely glad to have had this initial experience with Thameen. This isn't one I'm going to be adding to my personal collection, but I have one more from the house that I will try tomorrow. Hopefully, that can turn my perspective around with the house of Thameen. Sophisticated but unexceptional Floriental with a nice restrained leather accord. The scent opens with notes of lemon, vanilla and cardamom. The heart showcases jasmine, rose, saffron and the leather accord. The perfume settles into a powdery base of patchouli, gurjun balsam, cedar and synthetic musk. The masculine leaning scent is well blended and has moderate to strong projection and very good longevity. Overall smooth and suave, but done umpteen times and more economically. Enjoy!

I don't smell much leather on my skin. It is mainly a spicy, floral, balsamic vanilla (again, on my skin). Longevity is about 6h and sillage is moderate. It's an OK perfume; not one I would buy (I got a free official sample). Maybe it's better on people with different skin chemistry.

Average to okay perfume. The smell is good but not outstanding; longevity is decent but not everlasting; and good bottle but smell doesn't accompany the luxurious presentation.

Extremely weak and sits very close to the skin. Opening isn’t great, but the dry down is much smoother. Pleasant, but definitely not worth the money.

This one doesn't elicit many profound reactions from me... a slightly sour and smooth leather. In this vein I much prefer Onekh from Bvlgari.

Opens up sweet citrusy, then the vanilla shows up soon after, but it's not a strong vanilla. Long after, it still has this vanilla quality, but the musk makes its way in, but it's more in the back than the vanilla is. It also has this animalic, balsamic tinge to it but you'd really have to look for it. I got this frag as a means to get the abstraction of the smell of new kicks, or at the very least, leather, and disappointingly (and unsurprisingly, looking at the notes), it doesn't remotely tick any of these boxes. I thought it could measure up to the artistic skill that Boxer By HUNQ would, but it's not the case here. It's just another vanilla musk frag, despite the name, once again.....lasts for at least 8 hrs.

instant love, leather is not predominant but very present, its more sophisticated suede opposed to actual masculine badass carseat leather - airy and smooth, translates rather musky as the accords suggest- similar to tom ford white suede Many are saying this is ombre leather mixed with Layton- OL is badass leather, this is smooth suede vibes so not entirely, but i suppose if ur trying to get an idea then try see it as an extremely light airy dusting of OL. if u smell layton rn you will not get an idea of what this smells like cuz u cant readily isolate the fruitiness (ie the lemon) which is the only similarity. In RL its floral-fruitiness seamlessly blended into warm vanilla base, slightly spiced with cardamom (like in OL) which adds the luxurious aspect to the leather. the floral part is a light touch of rose, same type as the rose in OSM as some say, or delina exclusif, but not even close to as strong just like an extremely light vibe so the fruity floral musk part leans feminine but the touch of leather running in the background gives it an androgynous edge. I dont get the patchouli much. Grandsoir spicey amber vibe yes, bc of warm spicy vanilla notes. the lemon on top note mixed wit the grandsoir-esque warm spicey vanilla creates Ani-like spicy vanillic-lemon (grandsoir also smells a little like ani and it doesnt even have lemon in it) if i had a gun to my head and had to be really analytical rn 😂 what you smell is like 25% grandsoir (18% spicey smooth vanilla with 7% lemon touch ) + 30% musky floral (20% rose 10% musky saffron) + 45% sophisticated airy musky leather running in the background. essentially majority smooth vanillic fruity floral + musky suede not masculine at all to my nose, that floralfruity muskiness is straight up feminine and is more prominent than the leather - if u add light suede to that it makes it unisex at most- those rating it masculine leaning are focusing on the leather too much and associating it to the masculine OL. in the overal picture the feminine floral muskiness is the majority (55% of the scent) so if anything its unisex leaning 5% feminine according to my stats; woman wearing this will smell kool slightly androgynous girl and man wearing it will smell relatively feminine compared to standard mens colonges, in the air you get the feminine musky fruity floral notes more than the leather. best for cool/chill/room temp, i would wear it day and night

A less sweet, but more dense prada lhomme intense. This, like all the blue bottle Treasure Collection Thameen fragrances I've bought, is very discrete & intimate. Alot of ppl would be put off by the subtlety (weak projection) of Thameens. But to me, its their selling point. Very high quality scents that wear very politely, tastefully and intimately. These arent shouting clubby scents for ppl who want everyone to smell their loud, tacky, sweet bubblegum vanilla hypejuice. (Nothing wrong with being that person, because I have plenty of clubby scents too.) But rather, I consider the blue bottled Treasure Collection Thameens to be the "cozy-corner-table-for-two-nestled-inside-a-dimly-lit-crowded-upscale-fine-dining-restaurant" type of scents in the fragrance world.

I really enjoy this one as a woman. I find it’s completely unisex, but if you pressure me I’ll admit it’s slightly masculine leaning. I don’t like to wear masculine fragrances and I can assure you I enjoy this very much. So I cannot agree with the votes putting it distinctly in the masculine category. It almost put me off from trying this and that would have been a real shame! (I find royal sapphire from the same house much more masculine leaning, to my great despair since I blind bought a bottle). As has been mentioned below it’s an incredibly smooth suede leather kind of scent with a healthy dose of vanilla. Beautiful. And for those of you who care about presentation, this one nails it.

This review is based on a sample I have so you can take it with a grain of salt. I feel the name of the perfume is partially misleading as I do not get any leather note in this perfume; but they were spot on with the regent. This scent gives me luxurious and classy vibes. A lady in her 50’s driving her sleek 4x4 whip. It’s a bit of everything and well balanced. It’s a bit woody and spicy. Definitely one of my favorites from this brand 💙

I like the other Thameen leather scents but this one i don't understand. I don't smell any leather or suede just a window cleaner smell. Conflicted on this because the quality is there but the composition of the fragrance itself seems unfinished. There is something missing here. Not a safe blind buy. I got this as a birthday present so i will use it up or give to my husband, but i would never purchase this one.

Weirdly I don’t get much leather past the opening, nor do I get much of a ‘luxury car / suede’ smell (which I get a ton of with Creme de Cuir by BDK) It just smells a bit like Oud Satin Mood mixed with Ani. And not much projection but lasting power seems good. Very underwhelmed personally, lucky I got it half price

I really like this fragrance to be honest I don't think it's fit to "unisex" category because the opening is really nice and soft which can fit girls pretty awesome but after a while the strong lather smell coming which I wouldn't wanna smell it on a women in my opinion But that's just my opinion

This would be my signature fragrance if it just performed better. The labdanum and musks here are just beautiful but they are gone after an hour or two, leaving behind a fairly generic vanilla skin scent. If this was cheaper then I would just keep reapplying but for the price it should perform.

Oh forgot to mention the dry down to me is like 90% + the same as Green Sapphire by Boadicea. I don’t think it’s necessarily trying to be like other fragrances but it is what it is

New, pitch black leather, patchouli, clove, rose, black pepper and a pinch of incense. If you love AdP's Leather but want something slightly sweeter, go for it!
