Royal Sapphire

The citrus is very subtle. The Orange Blossum is the most noticeable note, followed by the amber. The orange blossum alone is enough to remind you of Myslf (le parfum more than the EDP), however it’s so much smoother, like Myslf with blended so well that you don’t notice the transitions. It really does smell smooth for want of a better word, and despite the warmth of the amber, it’s still a fresh scent and a great choice on a sunny, but cool, spring day (temp under 20Deg C).I’ve had great compliments from wearing Myslf Le Parfum (more than the EDP, though I like that too), but everyone who liked Myslf Le Parfum on me thought the Royal Saphire was much better- a real “level up”. Despite being an extrait, i don’t think it lasts longer on me than the Myslf Le Parfum, but it does absolutely smell better. To me, if bought at a discount it’s absolutely worth the money, and I’ll be buying a 2nd bottle this spring. I alternate this with V&R Spicebomb metallic musk on similar temperature days when i feel like a change. If I’m being more casual I may reach for Myslf Le Parfum but for Mon-Fri in a casual (no suit) office environment in Mayfair, this is something I choose often. It definitely leans more masculine, despite the floral notes, and despite being much smoother, to me is more masculine than the Myslf line, despite a similar DNA/feel overall.

I really love the opening but I also love freshies. The bergamot is gorgeous and I smell aldehydes in the opening (although not listed). The opening changes rather quickly on my skin where the orange blossom & Jasmine really prevail. Those two notes seem saturated on the market however these are so beautifully blended and not sharp at all so still worth it. I think this may be where the YSL comparison comes in but I wouldn't really compare because this is much higher quality and better blended and much less synthetic. Patchouli frightens me and I can barely smell it at all. I got a peek of it in the opening but it quickly hides behind the citrus. As far as the drydown I would have to test more bc right now the Jasmin and the orange blossom have become the main characters. This is slightly masculine but honestly still feminine so it's a very strong unisex scent. Perfect to share a bottle with your significant other. Very clean scent. Looking forward to how it wears. Hoping it's not too linear.

Tried this in Dubai in the summer and it's perfection! I tried to buy a full bottle but they were out of stock and gave me a sample instead which naturally I used within a week. It seems a fairly basic composition but there's something royal and enigmatic about the sillage that has made me fall in love. I'm not usually a lover of orange blossom fragrances like Libre (too harsh), Love dont be Shy (too sweet) etc, but I love that they made this fresh and it's not too masc or fem. It can be dressed up or worn to work, or every day if you're a lil extra! I have a full bottle on the way and I will try my best to use it slowly as its not a cheapie!! I also already own Hudson Valley (not intentionally) and its similar but to my nose a bit more masculine and the quality is not as high - too much ambroxan and very strong. Thameen has created a gem that stands out within its profile!

Initial blast is beautiful and attention-grabbing, like a thickened version of YSL MYSLF. Also it's smoother, more aromatic, more addictive, and more pronounced than that one. It's like a sugary floral sweetness and a little nutty too. This actually has led me to compare it with Afnan's Lynked Freedom, which I found to smell closer than YSL MYSLF is. It's just that you get more premium, spa-like aromatic vibes from Royal Sapphire, while Lynked Freedom is more gourmand-adjacent and a bit more screechy due to cheaper materials. I just don't think it belongs to the niche category due to so much mass appeal. But that's why I see it as a designer, because this thing eats COMPLIMENTS for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Oh my this is gorgeous and took me by surprise. It’s just a stunning blend of warm white florals tinged with just enough citrus. It is heady and sophisticated, with a touch of dark shadows poking through from the base. The oak moss is distinct and adds slight animalic vibes, which usually scares me away but this is totally wearable. Although not directly comparable to YSL Libre, I do detect slightly similar vibes but at the niche level. And although I do agree there is nothing overly special about it, if I could afford it I still wouldn’t think twice about a purchase.

Went to Saks to test Patiala and the sales associate recommended this and it was love at first sniff. It smells so uplifting. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. I actually never payed it any mind because there aren’t much reviews out there and I just assumed it was for men. This is a gorgeous white floral fragrance with an amber/moss base. I love mandarin orange as a note as well. This fragrance is blended so well. If you like fragrances like libre, or prada paradoxe, you may enjoy this as well.

A smooth orange blossom and amber elixir that sits in the same realm as MFK's APOM. In the dry down, moss, and ambergris join in, making this one more masculine than the MFK. I do enjoy the scent, I like it a lot. I wish it had a bit of cypress, petitgrain or pine to balance out its sweetness a little more. As it stands, it's a shade too ambery for my taste, however, this would make an excellent replacement to APOM which is now discontinued.

If you are looking for something adventurous and creative this might disappoint you. It is a mass appealing DNA. High quality ingredients, but also a lot of Ambroxan, very well blended. This projects and lasts. It opens with smooth and sweet citrus layered over white florals. The white florals stand out in particular as high quality. The deep dry down is Ambroxan heavy and it has stuck round for a very long time on my skin.

Sophisticated, ambery and citrus scent with a soft delicate touch of mysterious oakmoss. This is the definition of rich, but understated/quiet luxury that will attract attention of those who know. Nevertheless, the intensity and the longevity are quite weak to my nose, therefore the price tag is not justified (around 290 euros for 50ml). Quality is great though. More masculine scent but I would easily wear it.

Royal Sapphire is truly gem in the crown.its beautiful and elegant, it's soft and feminine but not weak.its versatile, you can wear it in the first date,to office, on special occasions or just running errands. The only problem is the price for a 50ml I think it's overpriced, but if it's 100ml I think it's worth the price tag.its not a must have but if you are a collector it's worth have

Its not MYSLF EDP, its in the ballpark but its on Le Parfums field... its literally standing on first base. It's just a much better version of MYSLF Le Parfum Royal Sapphire is an easy to wear scent all year but in the Summers only at night I'd give it a 95/100

Very clean smell... took me by surprise cause I didn't think id like it judging by the note breakdown. Very luxurious, high quality juice. Didn't think Amber & orange would mix but wow i love this juice. Sillage is spot on, longevity is moderate as is the projection. It's perfect for office wear...

Got this today and as soon as I sprayed it I got YSL Myslf. Ysl have created a clone of Royal Sapphire, kindofa in the vein of Detour Noir versus Layton. And that's no criticism of the ysl, I think it's great. This is just done way better. For the price i'd be furious if it wasn't....

Class, elegance in a bottle. Its a sweet take in parfum. If you like Naxos, you will definitely love this. Thr sweetness level to me is the same , but dont get this wrong, they are totally have different smells. Just thr sweetness kinda the same. Love the blend! Im in love .

Amazing scent. The beauty is in the dry down. White florals and powdery scent. Long lasting and probably a mass pleaser. I am not sure if it’s accurate to compare it with Blue talisman but it reminds me of it, with less citrusy in Blue sapphire.

Very elegant and smooth quality scent. If you want smell luxury and very rafinate, this perfume it's what do you need. Projects and performers very well. Still smelling it and noticed by another person after 8 hours. Quality.

Absolutely beautiful and i say this as someone who isn't the biggest fan of florals, but his fragrance is divine. The silage and projection are top tier. It's a very signature worthy scent. Highly recommended to anyone. 8/10

This is an amazing scent that last all day, the projection isn't beast mode but I prefer it that way. This smells like a luxury men's shaving cream. Everytime I wear it I can't stop sniffing myself.

reminds me of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, for some reason. Just nice and classy, not too in-your-face. Wearing this in the spring/summer just makes me happy

This is ysl myslf if it was niche, high quality and deeper. Period. Really great if you like that profile.

reminds me of the orange blossom from Libre intense but in a very luxurious, bold, REGAL concoction

The scent itself doesn't spark any thoughts or visuals of sapphire or any other precious gem, more like above the knee summer shorts and blue button ups with loafers combo, but it is still a very solid one. A bit too perfume-y for my liking as it has the potential to be a bit headache inducing at large doses. Regardless, it is a good masculine perfume for a business casual occasion and if applied sparingly my man or masc presenting partner wore this - I would be on their neck all night. I'm getting on that rich boy yacht one way or another.

A fresh sophisticated minimally constructed Oriental Chypre scent. The perfume opens with a fresh burst of mandarin orange and bergamot. It moves to a heart of orange flower and jasmine and settles into a base of oakmoss, amber, patchouli and cedar. Not particularly earth shattering but very pleasing and eminently wearable unisex perfume with moderate projection and longevity. One that can be worn in any setting and has a pleasant uplifting fresh vibe to it. Enjoy!

Bright & fresh orange blossom blended with elegant jasmine and grounded woods. It’s smooth. No one does patchouli quite like Thameen. Citrus unisex profile and there’s something also nostalgic and almost masculine leaning about it— smells like my father’s aftershave when I was little. The dry down is a smoother take on YSL libre and YSL myslf. Not something I’d reach for but I can’t stop smelling my wrist right now either.

Feels "Made for the masses", Not as unique as other fragrances I've sampled from Thameen. Unfortunate. people around me really like this fragrance, but to me it's not really that special. I do have to say, this is the best white floral DNA I've tried, followed by Gucci Guilty Elixir Pour Homme and YSL MYSLF ranking 3rd. Projection is incredible and longevity is KING. If you want a safe-niche, this is it.

Gorgeous stuff. Clean, sweet and fresh. This smells like a beautiful luxury soap. I dont get any woody notes here, but the rest of the notes read very clearly to my nose. This is definitely another gem from Thameen, and one of the best fresh scents from the house. I doubt anyone in the general public will actually dislike this one.

This scent lasted 10 hours plus and I had to scrub it out at the end of the day. Similar to Boadicea Imperial in scent and even in the packaging. Made me think that the perfumer is cranking out the same scent for both Houses. Heavy amber, oud, high quality. Project quite well too. Lean masculine. Best fragrance from Thameen.

Creamy, orangey citrus-white floral. Heavy on the jasmine, heavy on the orange, very sweet and creamy with light green undertones. Not soapy at all to my nose. Clean musky orange as a skin scent. Moderately soft projection pulls in over a couple hours lasting through 3-4hr, longevity 8-10hr.

This is a sexy white floral with a masculine dry-down. Excellent sillage, lasts all day, and a little goes a long way. I definitely would like to add this to my collection.

I agree that this is a more straight forward, less mass appealing version of YSL Myslf, and thus it will be less versatile.

To my nose this is a very soapy composition. I can’t detect any particular note, but looking at the listed notes I do not expect them to come together smelling like they do. It feels like there is a misbalance between the expectation and an actual scent, if that makes any sense. I do get mild whiffs of the scent here and there for the first few hours. To me it smalls better in the air when I catch a whiff of it then when I put my nose to the skin to smell the scent. To me there are much better offering from the house of Thameen than this.

To me the notes listed don't correspond at all to what I'm smelling. First thing I smell is a dihydromercinal, seocnd is like an almond soap you'd get at whole foods -- still somehow the sillage of these two undesirable smells (IMPO) is luxurious and pretty. I could see someone wearing avec plaisir and getting compliments even, but def not my scent profile.

This scent is very confusing, the initial spray smells like a cleaning product and then from a distance it smells very masculine and quite strong, but as I get closer to the body part sprayed it begins to smell ever so slightly more feminine. I can pick up the florals, but for me this fragrance is way too masculine

Soapy, sweet citrus opening. Sexy, deep and natural amber dry-down but takes too long to get there. Unisex. Reminds me of more than one of my Middle Eastern cheapies but if they’d used higher quality ingredients, which is a big plus. This is like the final boss of cheapies. The expensive-ee

To me this smells very manly. I don’t think it’s feminine at all. Smells very soapy and reminds me of BBWs cologne Ocean for men. It smells ok but it don’t project well and smells kinda cheap. Gives me Zest soap vibes lol.

Too overwhelming for me, very strong. Reminds of YSL Libre intense. I think you need to like amber to really appreciate this one.

Amberous orange and patchouli. Weird mix. Grandma vibes. Soapy and strong. Has all the charm of a .middle of the mall YSL jank.

Opens like a shampooy scent. Then this turns into a loud white floral, with citrus and loads of orange blossom. Not a fan

I don’t know what it is about orange blossom and my nose but when you put it in a fragrance I literally cannot smell anything else. I don’t smell ANY of the other notes in here. I absolutely cannot tell any difference between this and Myslf. I don’t like myslf so I don’t know why I thought I’d like this, that’s on me. All these reviews saying this is like a nicer smoother niche myslf....nope. It’s just Myslf. If Myslf is your vibe you’d probably love this tho. But definitely not for me.

Another disappointment by thameen. This smells so synthetic and chemical like it’s like that smell you get when you walk in a higher end thrift thop such as Plato’s closet. Horrible Overall- 2/10

Meh. This has some nice parts to it but parts of it also smell kinda like a cleaning product to me at one point, just a hint of something along those lines but I didn’t hate it. I even considered buying it for the first 10 mins of wearing it. Worst part of it is the performance is so bad. I had a factory sample that I’ve tested 3 times as it was a generous 3ml in size, so I doused myself in it each time and still only lasts an hour. After that it’s a faint skin scent. This house is a hit and miss for me. Some of their scents smell amazing but seriously underperform. I have blue heart and it performs better than this but not as strong as how I would like but I love the smell of it so I’m fine with it. I’ll reapply it happily. This however I can live without. It also leaned more masculine to me but still unisex enough, it just gave off male cologne vibes that make me think this would smell a lot better on a man. Overall I really like the house, they just need to work on their performance issues on a lot of their scents.

So good I made an account. My second Thameen, with Carved Oud. Yes, this is orange blossom.. sort of like Ysl Myself Edp, but this is thick and rich in classic Thameen style. Thicker, sweeter, more complex. Best way to think of it as the king of the “fabric softeners” or dryer sheets (I love this style). Like Prada L’Homme edt style, but thicker and richer and longest lasting, with the Ysl Myself EDP orange instead of iris. 5/5 if you love the fabric softener vibe — this is the king of them. You can daily this. It smells very clean and fresh, without coming off as the cologne guy. I’d expect women would love this smell on you, as most of my compliments have come from this style of frag. Hope that helps you understand this fragrance without getting all sommelier about notes and hints of whatever. If you like fabric softener, Prada L’Homme or Ysl Myself, this is a safe blind buy.

I agree about the niche YSL associations, with a much stronger orange note. Uplifting and floral, but I must say - must be my association - but this overall scent profile tends to scream commercial drugstore perfume to me. Maybe it's the prominent jasmine, because it's not really chemical or plastic smelling but the whole YSL libre genre for me is a no. Must just be me and not particularly liking generic jasmine. You can tell the notes are quality though so if you like this genre and happy to pay a bit more this is a nicer version of ysl libre.

This is my favorite perfume. The first time I smelled it I thought, this is actually unreal. It is very deep, rich and well blended. Truly a cut above other scents that I own. Others seem to find this masculine, but on me it's ultra feminine. And not just regular woman kind of feminine...like the scent of the woman I aspire to be. Have tried many others from this house and they are all well made, even the ones that aren't up my alley. Great smell, long lasting, remarkable projection.

I’m sorry but this smells nothing like oud jaune intense! Or Libre or flowebomb (I mean those people must have been joking). To me this leans distinctly masculine. A man’s cologne kind of scent. It’s beautiful but for me just too plane masculine. And my husband finds it’s too sweet so he doesn’t want to wear it either (to my great despair). In short, blind buy gone bad. Pm me if you’re in Europe and looking for a bottle, mine’s up for swap or sale!

I can appreciate this scent as a basic, simple fragrance that one would wear in a casual setting. But for me it's TOO basic and too soapy. It just smells like a handwash, and that's one thing I despise in a fragrance. The floral notes mix well together and smell nice that's no doubt, it's just that in my mind, they don't form a fragrance that I would ideally wear. I will not be purchasing a bottle.

sharp and retro candied orange blossom with sweet effervescent citruses. Gradually loses its sharpness during the dry down to become a more creamy sweet scent. It's nothing special but a lovely sweet orange blossom like many other fragrances. I haven't smelled YSL's "MYSLF", but I do find it mildly similar to their "Libre". Beautiful fragrance but needed to macerate after a few sprays for 4-5 months before it reached full potential. Well worth the wait as longevity is increased and the scent profile changes with more richness and depth compared to a fresh bottle. Clean scent, masculine in a subtle and toned down kind of way. Very unique but also very wearable and versatile for all seasons. 8.7/10
