Sceptre

This one as well as Patiala were my favorites from the discovery set. While I do agree that a lot of Thameen scents remind me of other perfumes, I still find them to be very pleasant and enjoyable. I also found that Sceptre is one of the best projectors of this brand, while most other perfumes tend to stay closer to skin despite being Extrait de Parfum concentration. To me the wearer of Thameen fragrances is a self-sufficient individual, who does not want to impress, seduce, or seek the attention of others.

A sparkling Oriental with a slight animalic undercurrent. The perfume opens with aromatic notes of pepper, cloves and coriander. The heart is floral gourmand with hints of apricot, ylang, wisteria and patchouli. The perfume settles into a powdery incense base comprised of pronounced ambergris, myrrh and benzoin. The regal perfume leans slight feminine with moderate to strong projection and very good longevity. Another winning offering from this house. Enjoy!

Love what someone else said about this amber not being a screamer - it’s soft, velvety, comforting. The peach and ylang ylang add a wonderful sweetness, not so much that it’s a solely feminine scent, but I do think it leans more feminine than Diadem. When the perfume sticks to my clothes I get whiffs of wisteria. Very multifaceted and well blended. Scepter is regal, authoritative but not abrasive. Day and night scent but better suited for cool weather.

Sceptre is a superb and elegant Oriental. Myrrh shines in this perfume and is beautifully blended with amber. I can't discern the rest of the notes, it apparently has Peach (which I hate) but this is so well blended that I cannot detect it. It's a bit powdery. This is a love for me. I'm trying a sample. Definitely FB worthy if it wasn't so expensive.

Well balanced amber. Not a screamer, it’s there on your skin but not loud. A pleasant scent to wear. I just got it, but I think this is a scent that grows on you over time.

One thing I like about Thameen perfumes is that they have a sort of theme or two, and then they play around the bases that are similar. A common denominator I'd use for all Thaameen scents is warmth: they all pulsate and radiate. A few are a bit screechy and not blended well imo (Blue Heart), but I found this one the most beautiful from the discovery set. In the drydown it gives me such a cozy, warm feeling without being overly sweet.

One of my faves in the discovery kit! on blotter it's a distinctly fresh grated pepper smell on skin there's an osthmanthus smell that comes out (prob the peach) -- it's like peppery yes, but also a little sweet, beeswaxy, gorse/coconutty even.

Does anyone can smell tonka bean in it ?

This would be a fresher version of MFK Grand Soir. Not the same at all by any means, but its the same territory. This is lighter and also I assume less offensive to most people. If you like MFK Grand Soir but arent sure about it, give this a try. Amber, Myrrh and Benzoine take the center stage in this fragrance. Very good quality. It would be tough for me to choose this over Grand Soir. I like them both but its not a love for me either way. Find me on IG & YT @VirginNose

A punchy blast of earthy, peppery spices up front, sprinkled atop creamy florals and peach with warm resinous undertones. Dense, fruity, maybe even a little animalic. All the spices fade away as it dries down to a skin scent. Moderate projection for 2-3hr, longevity 6-8hr.

A very dusty, bittersweet patchouli scent, in which I don't recognize any amber. Not my type, and in my opinion, the value it represents is not worth the high price tag. Also, very similar to Tyger Tyger by Francesca Bianchi, but TT is more enjoyable to me.

Spicy aromatic peach An interesting fragrance to say the least! I smelled it as a recommendation from the sales assistant and I fell in love. I thought it was not a beast mode perfume as I couldn't smell it on me after some time, but man, I was wrong. I got so many compliments wearing it, it's insane. The spices blend well together and deliver a creamy aromatic, peach fragrance. It smells very personal in a way, the same way Missing Person by Phlur is described, like a nice hug from the person you miss P.S: It kinda smells like a Lush store to me :))

Very round, pleasant scent initially. Anise, dark chocolate, frankincense, patchouli, hints of toffee and sandalwood. After a while, the amber component is really starting to shine. I don't particularly enjoy this kind of synthetic amber, quite edgy and cloying. Luckily it's not overly prominent but it ruins the experience a bit for me. Not an overly loud fragrance but it'll create a nice, gentle scent bubble around you.

Sweet myrrh with mature fruity undertones from the peach and ylang-ylang. Dries down into a tamer resin and ambergris blend with a soft creamy sweetness to it, reminiscent of sandalwood. Very original, I love the clear use of myrrh, unlike the generic amber fragrances it's being compared to. The dry down is absolutely gorgeous. Source: Official 2ml Sample Date of Purchase: 14/3/2025

I would venture to say ylang-ylang is actually the dominant note in this fragrance at least for the first couple hours. This has a lotiony and slightly powdery thing going on at the same time. Its fruity as well throughout, peachy plummy kind of fruity, with amber never really being the main player. Slightly feminine, probably compliment inducing.

A beautiful regal fragrance. Light creamy fruity notes mixed with the exquisite warmth of Somali Myrrh. The ylang ylang notes come through beautifully and very long lasting.
