Patchouli Citrus

I quite like this one. I got the 7 virtues discovery set from sephora and this and Blackberry Lily were my favorites. I'm such a huge fan of the old something citrus with something floral and Patchouli combos. This is a bright "fruit-chouli" that opens with bright bergamont and quickly goes in smelling strongly of Peony and Geranium and Jasmine with the a strong dose of spicy of Patchouli in the background. Peony is my favorite note and if you like Peony perfumes like miss dior edt or chloe but want a more citrusy/summer scent you'll like this. It smells expensive, lasts the whole day, and I'd put it predominately in the refreshing floral scent category. One of my favorite scents of all time. There's a DNA here that reminds me of very classic perfumes like coco mademoiselle. This smells expensive

There’s something in here that leaves me so energized. The name does not do justice to this perfume at all. I thought it would be in the same vein as a German cologne— sharp, lemony, and alcohol-esque, but no! After it settles for a few minutes, it becomes the most enriching experience for the human nose. It takes me right out of my melancholy and uplifts my mood! I did not sleep until 4 at night because of the waves of energy this gave me. Sadness no longer! This is a soft patchouli mixed with floral notes. If you are an ANGEL fan, you are not going to like this. The patchouli in ANGEL seems harsh to me. I prefer the stronger, harsher patchouli in male fragrances and in general I am not a big fan of Mugler fragrances. This on the other hand is sweet. Although the perfume is marketed as unisex, I find it feminine. The patchouli starts to turn into rose water in the dry down. I like it.

The name suggests all - opening is a very fresh citrus scent, and yet not bitter nor synthetic. I'm not typically a big fan of citrus notes, but the geranium and peony notes here really combine well with the citrus, even giving an exotic feel like I'm in a tropical country sipping a glass of mojito. It's very suitable for spring and summer season, and quite a refreshing scent especially during the lockdown.

They've recently discontinued this, so go grab it from the 7 Virtues site at a discount before its gone. Between this and Blackberry Lily being taken away and them adding another cherry tom ford flanker, I'm really not liking the direction the brand is taking.

There's something delightfully old fashioned about this perfume. It's citrusy but heavy with florals after the dry down. I can really smell the jasmine after a while but I am also particularly sensitive to jasmine. If I smell this for too long it does give me a bit of a headache though.

I think this can be worn any season, smells expensive. It smells like something you'd get at Macy's but not as overpowering.

I definitely get the citrus in the opening- don't really get peach. For some reason, peach never sticks out on my skin when testing fragrances though. As it starts to settle, the Peony and Rose/Geranium comes out more. To my nose, this leans feminine and might be slightly unisex. Overall, this is citrus fresh peony but the longevity isn't great on me. I only got 2-3 hours before it became barely detectable as a skin scent.

I didn't read the notes before I sprayed this, and the first whiff I immediately thought "Rose, Geranium". It reminded me of Aerin Wild Geranium... I don't really get the "patchouli" or the "citrus". It reads more floral to me. Longevity and sillage on this are very soft.

The opening smells like something Chanel would make, like old lady expensive. It dries down into a soft fresh geranium with a solid patchouli base. I don’t get too much citrus. It’s just......not appealing to me at all. The floral notes here make me recoil for some reason. And something in my brain is just screaming “musty old lady”.

Definitely agree with other reviewers, this is an old-fashioned floral without a lot of citrus. The patchouli, though, is definitely there, and I find it quite unpleasant. It also LINGERS. I scrubbed with soap and water and then used alcohol, and that patchouli is still clinging to me.

the now-discontinued patchouli citrus opens with a bright burst of citrus and light florals that eventually amplifies into a syrupy, overwhelmingly sweet rose that i truly cannot stand. despite the name, i get very little in the way of either patchouli or citrus. in place of tartness or freshness, the mandarin orange and peach tip deeply artificial and canned--think cafeteria mandarin orange slices drowning in syrup, topped with peach rings. the cloying fruitiness is only amplified by the heavy florals, with virtually none of the unisex, woody base present to temper the top and middle notes. my fragrance preferences generally skew more unisex, greener, and less conventional in their notes than what's present in this scent. it's one of my more conventionally wearable samples, and yet it's so overly feminine and cloying that i'm coming away from it nauseated. patchouli citrus is reminiscent of every department store fragrance counter perfume that made me believe for so long that i had no interest in fragrances at all. imagine--you are a 13-year old girl crippled by insecurities. it's easter morning, and you feel hideous, thick leg hair, a bad hair day and hot-to-the-touch acne clashing with garish pastel florals and ribbons on the dress your mom wouldn't let you leave the store without. you spritz on your mom's perfume in the hopes that it will make you feel like a real girl, and in the end feel just as ugly and uncomfortable while smelling like an old woman.

Not a fan on my skin. Very clean/uplifting for the first 20 minutes, but that lovely freshness is quickly overtaken by a bitter herbiness that clashes nauseatingly, rather than harmonizing, with the uplifting citrus notes.

I saw the reviews below and I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks this has some Chanel Coco mademoiselle DNA in it. It’s definitely the combination of the citrus, rose, and the patchouli. For the record, Chanel uses non fair trade labour, paying pennies for their ingredients. It costs them around $3 to make a bottle. And it’s not economies of scale. It’s exploitation. I have a very strong dislike for Coco mademoiselle but this is the most tolerant same DNA of it that I can handle. I hate... like HATE citruses in perfume. In my culture, we don’t have them at all. It’s something I didn’t grow up with. So the Western fragrances with high citrus content always make me gag. This is the only citrus I’ve ever been able to tolerate with the exception of Musk Therapy from Initio. Probably cause it’s not synthetic. This is still not FBW to me. But if others want a clean and socially conscious brand alternative to the Chanel DNA, this would definitely be your favourite out of the discovery set.

This is a very strong fragrance on and it wears very well. I'm smelling earthy wet moss and a very red thick smelling rose. The citrus and patchouli are nowhere to be found. I've worn it hiking also sitting around the house, grocery shopping and I like it all the same. I'm drawn to it, but at the same time it is a little heavy and that's what is steering me away from a full bottle. I have scents in my collection like Tom Ford White Patchouli that are similar to this. Who knows, I may add it someday, but the one I really like is Vetiver Elemi .

I like this - although I can't imagine wearing it myself. It's a nondescript floral with a spicy patchouli edge. Nothing breakthrough, but it's pleasant enough to be enjoyed by many. I wouldn't call it citrus, as I'd say bergamot is the only note that I could detect in the opening - and I'd call it herbal / spicy more than juicy. Worth a try.

Oh my but I have stumbled on my favorite perfume of all time - second, only to their Vetiver Elemi. I can't get enough of this! While I really love patchouli, I feel like it's an undertone of this fragrance and am perfectly happy with the blend. However, the clean, green smells of citrus and amber seem prevalent and I love it!
