Green Lavender Cologne Intense

A big love for me and a must have if you love Lavender and/ or barbershop scents !! The opening of this may be harsh if your not used to the lavender found in essential oils as it is a bit sharp in the opening with an authentic lavender but as it dries down it does smoothen out with Tonka,mint and cypress making it a more well balanced and creamy smell while the lavender is still the main player ! Green Lavender stays pretty linear but again gets more smooth and creamy as it develops so don’t judge this from a tester strip and let this breathe on your skin!! Also to caution that because of the sharp,loud lavender in the opening I’d give this 30 minutes before getting into a crowded elevator or office as initially it’s strong but settles nicely and becomes very appealing,sexy and gentlemanly 🙏 Ages for this I’d say because of the old school barbershop vibe I’d say this would be suited for ages 25 and up as it’s a modern barbershop fragrance and not a bubblegum or blue style fragrance so I don’t see this appealing to a younger crowd. However, this is a modern barbershop fragrance so it’s going to be trendy and not old mannish either !! Performance on this is actually really nice as it projects strongly for 30 minutes,very noticeable for 1 hour and then after that it’s a very noticeable scent bubble that has great sillage !! I’ve received very good feedback from this from the ages of 30-70 so again it’s a fragrance that won’t appeal to a younger crowd but very pleasing to anyone that’s older than 30. This lasted me anywhere from 6-10 hours and does well all year round but really excels in warm and cooler weather Overall rating-8.5 out of 10 !! I really like this fragrance! I'm coming off an Art of Shaving cologne jag having recently purchased five of them. Green Lavender is my favorite one between it and the others I own: Coriander and Cardamom, Sandalwood & Cypress, Oud Suede, and Vetiver Citron. It's best for spring and summer, like all AoS. One whiff and you'll realize it SHOUTS "Barbershop!" and it does so in a unique way. I'm not a big floral guy but wanted to venture into lavender territory and I am so happy I did. This one just works. Most Art of Shaving colognes are average performers, but this one is slightly above; I can still smell it on me after several hours. All things considered, it's definitely worth a buy.

I sampled this briefly at a local Art of Shaving store. I was surprised to see that they had so many different fragrances. On initial spray, this instantly made me think of Fine's Pure Lavender Aftershave, which is based on Oxford & Cambridge by Czech & Speake. If you look at the notes, these both share the same top 3 notes (Lavender, Mint, and Rosemary). This explains why they smell similar to one another. This is also a lot cheaper. Will definitely need to explore it a little more, but it is a nice, fresh lavender. Very classy.

Very nice lavender fragrance. While Ferrari's Pure Lavender smells like the more astringent French Lavender, Green Lavender is English Lavender...softer scented..not as sharp. It is cleaner than Caron's Pour un Homme, more lavender.. no vanilla. I really enjoyed this and found the longevity rather surprising. It lasted about 6 hrs on my skin although it went to skin after an hour and a half.

Imagine if Mambo by Liz Claiborne was high end designer quality. More refined smoother better quality ingredients. The tonka is magnificent. The lavender is the base. Great longevity. 10/10 sent. Some people say barbershop smell I get that but in the best way possible.

Exactly the type of scent one would expect from a shaving brand. The lovely bright citrus opening gives way to a lavender heart and a coumarin and moss base. A beautifully understated fougere in the old style.

This is quite nice. I blind bought it for about $10 on clearance for my husband. He's not too into fragrance, but I've always been a lavender fan. However, I've started to not prefer it on myself unless it's very faint, as it seems too sharp and cool to be feminine. I quite like it here. It's definitely lavender forward, and it's the strongest part of the scent, but it does have some nice undertones of citrus and woodiness in the background. the lavender is what hits me first, though. It's very clean and fresh smelling, but not at all aquatic, and it's a very masculine scent. It's not my favorite men's scent ever, but it's a good everyday fragrance and definitely a keeper. It would be good year round, I think.

There is nothing available in the USA that smells quite like Green Lavender, as simple as it is. For whatever reason, The Art Of Shaving has long discontinued Green Lavender in the USA. The AoS website has a landing page for Green Lavender that redirects to the main page. It's on fragrancenet for $50 for a 1oz... and walmart discounted from $60 to $40. For that cost per ml- might as well get something really nice in 100ml for $120 - $150. It's over

Revisiting this one after more than a year, and glad I did. I’m getting more rosemary and mint than before, which to me comes off as a nice anise accord. Combined with the ever present lavender and the creamy, sweet tonka, it’s quite intoxicating. A nice twist on barbershop, and something I’ll wear a bit this spring!

Years have gone by and I've found myself reaching for this one more often. Very classy stuff. Works best during the day, in the warmer months. Changing my rating from a 3 to 4/5.

I had high hopes for this fragrance but it let me down. I'm an aromatic barbershop fougere lover but this fragrance fell flat. Harsh opening but does dry down to a decent vanilla/lavender. Performance is lacking in all departments and l don't think they should be charging $35.00+ for a 30ml. You can wear this fragrance all year long,office safe and you can re-apply as needed throughout the day. Now l see why The Art of Shaving no longer has this on their website for sale and l had to order from Walmart to try this fragrance. Don't let the intense part fool you there is nothing intense about it.

Picked this up at Burlington because I heard it could be found for dirt cheap versus the MSRP. Opened it up in the car, and...instant disappointment. The lavender combined with the green notes makes for a scent that reminds me of my grandfather's bathroom when I would stay over as a kid, like an Aqua Velva drugstore aftershave. I'm sure it's a way more high quality than actual Aqua Velva, as Art of Shaving is a quality brand. Maybe one day I'll warm up to it. But I'm a guy in my 20s, and the end result here just triggers too many scent memories associated with old people for me to be comfortable wearing this. At least the presentation is nice, with a magnetic cap and quality atomizer. Looks nice in my collection, so I hope to find more modern Art of Shaving frags on discount.

Hands down the best masculine elegant lavender and citrus scent out there. Quite natural and fresh cut scented. Updated barbershop style. Spicy and sweet. Quite strong at first, then smooths out with some vanilla in the base. Lasts 8-12 hours, projects strong for the first 4! if you like lavender, you will be addicted! High quality oil packed juice! EDP concentration at least...the cologne intense is just marketing BS.

Surprisingly smells very good and masculine. Barber shop fragrance. Lavender, tonka, and oakmoss it is mostly makes it unique. The 2nd best in the line behind cypress and sandalwood. I would buy, either the shaving set or the cologne just to wear casually
