Lemon Eau de Toilette

AoS Lemon is VERY similar to GFT, the Trumper signature fragrance. If you have GFT, it would almost be redundant to own AoS Lemon. The best way I can describe AoS Lemon is that it opens exactly like lemon pledge and stays like that for about five minutes or so. From there, the sharp, intense lemon draws back a bit and the other elements move forward, producing a more subtle citrus blend. Don't get me wrong, the lemon is still there and it's the major player in the fragrance but it becomes more subtle with the blend. I don't really notice "woods" but it's blending with something to temper it, so the woods must be it. I do notice a white floral element to it though. Honestly, I see no reason why a woman couldn't or shouldn't wear this fragrance. It's a citrus floral and even though it's marketed toward men, in my opinion, it's very unisex. If I were going to guess at why it wasn't marketed as unisex, I'd say it's because AoS is a company which is very definitely male oriented and if they called AoS lemon "unisex", a lot of men wouldn't touch it. If you like citrus and especially a subtle lemon fragrance, it's worth having. Projection is moderate to average and longevity is good - around 6-8 hours.

I really wish I had waited and had been able to foresee the future to realize that AOS Lemon, along with Sandalwood, were going to be discontinued in September of 2016. Their stores were practically giving their bottles away for $17.50. AOS Lemon is simple and to the point. I find parallels with it and Cool Water. If Cool Water by Davidoff was centered around a lemon note, this scent would be it. Petit grain and lemon/lime are the main notes in a bed of transparent oakmoss. I say transparent because the oakmoss isn't heavy or thick, but rather soft. I do get a some floral nuances throughout, but not much. What I enjoy most about it is that it isn't tart and it doesn't have an overbearing lemon smell. It's quite smooth and fresh; a little green. Overall, the complexity is lacking, but it's great for casual wear or office use. If I may be honest, for $17.50, it's quite the bargain, but I paid retail a few years ago and was disappointed. I'll use my bottle to the last drop, but would never replenish it, even discounted. It just lacks that wow factor.

Just picked this up. Really quite nice. There was a %50 off sign by this product but the salesman said it was now %75 off. Got my bottle for under $20 out the door! Maybe I should have got two. I suspect this is one I'll use up rather quickly without thinking about it.

Beautiful creamy jasmine petals surrounding a bowl of spicey sweet lemon. Evokes late day swims surrounded by blooming white flowers. Edit: definitely a shared fragrance. Unfortunately, I believe it's being discontinued. 50% discount right now.

[purchased in 2007]...Love Lemon by AOS. Great fragrance...creamy and natural with a bit of a bite, however not sharp. Lemon is very pleasant and light...can be unisex! IMHO very distinct on a man (...to give a frame of reference, think Creed Neroli Sauvage or Creed Royal Water) these are in the same vein as AOS Lemon within the lemon genre! [11/24/2016] was in the AOS store and was told by the salesperson that both Lemon and Sandalwood are discontinued. Which gives room for the new line items. I have roughly a half of bottle left and was thinking about getting another backup bottle, yet the goal is to get my hands on a bottle that was produced before 2012. It seems as though the more recent bottles are lighter in color and longevity and the one I have is more of a dark yellow with a rather thick oiliness within the juice (not bad just different formulation). Again, just noticed that the newer bottle's juice is lighter in color, maybe those bottles aren't as potent as older bottles and that some have been a bit filtered, perhaps... ...by the way, a few different fragrances come to mind: Cedrat Enivrant by Atelier with the strong/potent lemon, Wave Musk by Mancera a more sweet lemon, and finally Neroli Sauvage by Creed which has a more dominant lemon, slightly musky note that sets these apart from each other. Another fragrance that comes to mind is, Mancera's Lemon Line - a very distinct lemon (more citrusy and fresher).
