Vetiver Citron Cologne Intense

It is not the best but for 16€ I bought the 100ml, come on, that is the best perfume for that price that i have bought and i have bought so many in over 20 years of me buying perfumes.

This isn't a bad fragrance, it's citrusy and fresh. Unfortunately, I am old enough to have worn some of Art of shavings, much higher quality fragrances such as their sandalwood essential oil fragrance which was incredible. I would hose that stuff on because it was like crack and then I would go nose blind to it and think about hosing it again. It was that good. This stuff by comparison it's just okay. A nice small cologne, especially at the discount rates since art of Shaving went under, that, you can toss into a bag and not offend anybody. Not saying it doesn't smell nice, but art of Shaving set the bar way too high early in the game in the early 2000s then went the wrong route with the overpriced hipster targeting 10 years later.

Mainly sharp citrus and grassy vetiver. Woodsy with cedar and patchouli. The black pepper, artemisia and cardamom bring slight spiciness to the background. There is some softness from the base with tonka, labdanum and cashmeran. A fresh, mature fragrance. Basically, it smells like it sounds. I get around 4 hours with Vetiver Citron Intense. Very satisfied with this $12.00 blind buy. (And a very nice bottle with a magnetic cap for those who care about these things.)

I'm coming off an Art of Shaving cologne jag having recently purchased three of them. This one is nice and is best for spring and summer. Not my favorite vetiver (I like Guerlain) but good with a classic barbershop scent. It reminds me of Proraso's Cypress & Vetiver. Art of Shaving's has a more pleasant citrus base than Proraso's woody base. Art of Shaving lasts longer, too, but both are average performers.

I like this but it is not long lasting, 3 hours at the most. Definitely will need a booster to get through the day. Any citrus notes are gone in a blink leaving you with a green slightly spicy scent. I got one spray on my shirt and that brought out the artemisia pretty strong for a bit. Freshens up at the end of the dry down. This one I was able to find pretty cheap so in the end not a bad blind buy.

As others have noted, this is an interesting fragrance with a short life span. Opens with a nice citrus blast that is gone rather quickly. This departure leaves you with a green vetiver and woody drydown with a touch of spice. Quite nice, but only lasts for a couple of hours (on my skin at least). Was able to get it inexpensively so respraying wasn't an issue.

Bitter citrus with artemisia and earthy vetiver, very natural. Surprisingly nice but kind of old fashioned in the way Eau Sauvage is. As Calvini said in the vein of Grey Vetiver.

So I've been keeping an eye out for Art of Shaving frags at rack stores, having heard that you can get them at a massive discount vs the MSRP. Found a 30 ml of this, normally $30, for $8 at Burlington. And to be honest, for a frag line that's normally a dollar per ml, I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it's a pleasant enough masculine scent for year round use, it has decent longevity, and it doesn't smell cheap. But there's not much else to say about it, it's just kind of non-descript. It doesn't pull me back wanting to smell it again and again. I have more appealing vetiver/citrus combos in my collection, like "Aromatic and Woody" by Hawthorne. As Art of Shaving is a men's personal care brand that also makes fragrances, they're most comparable to Cremo. Cremo's frags are less than a quarter of the price of AoS's, but to be honest, I much prefer my Cremo frags over the couple of AoS frags I've picked up. I'm not complaining, since I found my AoS frags at a big discount, but I'm just saying. The bottles and atomizers are much nicer than Cremo, but I don't think the actual fragrance is worth the full retail price when there are better options out there. But it might be worth a grab if you do come across it at rack stores.

Same as every other fragrance by AOS.Nice, fresh and easy. Very simple and a safe buy, something you can wear anywhere. It’s a light springtime scent and good for just about every situation, but I find it better to wear if your going to be doing something outdoors. When that breeze comes to give you an uplifting smell. That being said it has the same problems as the other Art of Shaving scents. It’s expensive and does not last a long time. It’s almost needed to be over sprayed, this one I sprayed in my clothes a hour or so before I left the house then I sprayed my skin. That gives it a bit more longevity. If it was cheaper I’d buy more often since it’s pretty versatile and pleasant. The bottle is heavy and could smash a window. That’s probably why it’s expensive, your paying for a piece of furniture with fragrance inside

Nice with a very modern woodsy take. Nothing to run out and purchase though. I just received this as I saw it discounted for a really good price, considering I have Sandalwood and Lemon from the TAOS line. I didn't get the old-fashion vibe as others mentioned. What I do get is a strong vetiver cardamom mix with a woodsy, citrusy flare tucked underneath. Vetiver Citron is nice, with a promising stay. (Reminds me of a stronger Prada Infusion Homme; Prada is lite and powdery with a soft laundry aroma that envelops. Vetiver Citron is woodsy and heavy, yet is has that laundry feel, however not Prada again, just what this reminds me of.) Performance: 7/10 Longevity: 7.5/10 Silage: 8/10 Projection: 8/10 Overall: 8/10

I agree that its mature, and kinda old fashioned smelling. But id like to add.. umm this is....surprisingly feminine. Like I even asked someone else im like... Doesnt this kinda smell like a womans perfume? And they were like ya.... I don't really have much to add other than that, ultimately its not my kinda thing, but im a little surprised this is not marketed AT LEAST as unisex. Not saying its sweet or anything, but it has a pretty strong feminine aspect to it. I would not consider this masculine at all except if we are to associate the idea of someone being older than us as in "power" and many times that thought can call to mind the idea of a "man" to say. But other than that...yea...at least unisex.

Art of Shaving franchise went bankrupt (high end barber shops in upscale malls to cash in on the hipster/huge beard bullshit of 2017). The in-store fragrance line was incredibly expensive (I think this was $50.00 plus?) in malls , but now demoted to Marshalls for $12.00 (which is where these deserve to be). Basically generic essential oil mash-up no better than a good Axe or body wash from Old Spice. Next stop for Art of Shaving: Goodwill Thrift stores for $4.99 .

This is the poor man's Grey Vetiver, and I mean that as a compliment. I need to apply this liberally on order to smell the earthiness of the vetiver. If you only do 3 or 4 sprays, it just smells like lemon and sawdust. Ten sprays, and you're in business - a nice fresh, bitter green vetiver that lasts a good 10 to 12 hours. Nothing unique, but worth buying If you can find it cheap.

Nice but really weak. Easy-going in an "I'm really trying not to impress anyone...just want to smell fresh & clean without too much citrus" way. Stick with Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver EdT if you like this.
