Volume 2: Precision and Grace

I am delighted to have received two spray samples of A Beautiful Mind Series fragrances in my August H2BAR Box! I had heard of these fragrances, of course, but I have no idea how long it would have been before I'd gotten the opportunity to try them. I am thrilled that a subscription box includes non-mass market scents, and I find the concept of celebrating intellect and memory to be inspiring and fun. It's also wonderful that the fragrances honor amazing people. Precision & Grace is the long-awaited Vol. 2 in The Beautiful Mind Series and it honors Polina Semionova. a Principal Dancer at American Ballet Theatre. Precision & Grace truly reminds me of a fragrance from my ballet school days...Pavlova perhaps? Or maybe it's pure suggestion, which is, of course, part of the point of celebrating memory through fragrance. In addition to the scent of my my inner ballerina, this brings to mind Quelque Fleurs l'originale, although I doubt it smells anything like it. Precision & Grace is a deceptively delicate floral with a juicy beginning, and lots of plum and mimosa as it developes. The pear is quite distinctive, and I am, unfortunately, not a fan of pear notes. Overall this is a peppery, elegant fruity floral that wears easily in warm weather.

Its a fruity floral, not much else to say! Very easy to wear and hard ti believe others wouldnt like it, very safe. Edit: this lasts for weeks, holy cow!

UPDATE: I ordered this! Excited, and a little anxious to receive it and wear it on me again. I remember loving it in Germany, but when at home, I hope it will smell as good This definitely smells like something I've smelt before, but I can't remember what... Maybe Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue for women... Or maybe Chanel Chance Fraoche? In the opening, while those notes in one of the two mentioned above disappear fast, in this, they last throughout the whole wear-time. It's quite pleasant and unisex. I probably prefer this over Intelligente and Fantacy, which has quite a strong bitter note on me. I smelt them both while in Hamburg (Germany). Otherwise, this, as the other Molecule and Beautiful Mind perfumed, is monotone: it stays pretty much the same throughout the wear-time. This can be good or bad - depends on what you like

It's the same that I smelt in aHamburg, Germany, where I really liked this. However, I think this one is a little too sweet for me where I live (Norway). It seems like this perfumes is better in more humid conditions. To me, the prominent note is plum and osmanthus. I DO like the smell, but as I wrote earlier, it has no depth on me. I KNOW that it's now only top notes in there though, but the top notes is the only thing I smell - thwy completely cover the rest. You will need some humidity to smell any of the other notes (jasmin and fresia), and winter where I live is just not the weather for this. I wouldn't recommend to purchase this without smelling it first. Now I'm trying to sell my bottle, as I feel the perfume is a bit too expensive for the impression it gives on me :/

I found this at TJMAX for $79 and being a huge fan of Geza’s Molecule series I had to snatch it up. Now I’m a big advocate of fragrances being genderless but some seriously tend to lean more feminine or masculine solely based on preconceived notions from culture and upbringing. THIS certainly holds true to the ratings in that it’s feminine. I really couldn’t imagine a man wearing this.

Good name but I’m not sure how appropriate. Leans feminine in a Bridge playing / Worsted wearing style. Fairly linear, close but long lasting. Perhaps slightly more unisex in drydown. Reminds me of hyacinths and Welch’s purple grape juice.

After the initial spray the only thing that came to mind was....fruity!?! I call BS! However, plum notes just don’t bode well on me. So, whateves :-/ Though the fragrance is nice enough....it’s just nice, IMO. I definitely smell the plum first, as a top note, gah. For the middle notes, the osmanthus, freesia & egyptian jasmine bloom quite heavily with faint fractions of pear here & there -which is quite lovely. It isn’t until an hour or so into the dry down that I get whispers of pink pepper, musk & sandalwood. After a while it begins to smell like a slight mixture of molecules 01 & 02 combined. Starts off a fairly generic white floral in fact tested blindly initial thoughts were all about the white florals. Few minutes in more fruit and tartness but I'm not getting a typical plum nor pear (a favourite of mine) but a more mixed fruit jam compote. I sense an almost leathery drydown which might be the pepper which smells a little leathery to me in some other perfumes too. I've smelled much more prominent notes of osmanthus and pear before so I'm not super impressed but it is a pleasant perfume. A little generic to my nose although that leathery peppery drydown does make this unisex and a little more unique.

When I wear this, the first word that comes to mind is "succulent." A very juicy, delicious fruity floral that opens with plenty of plum and osmanthus. It's dessert on my skin. This is a fun, happy scent. There is a bit of green happening here, which I think adds to the freshness and probably comes from the jasmine and/or sandalowood combo. It is very long lasting on my skin with a wonderful kind of sexy and rich dry down. The jasmine here is lovely. The ingredients are obviously top notch. Love Geza Schoen creations and this does not dissappoint. There's more here than just your average fruity floral.

just received sample from Luckyscent and find this very fruity and not my style. Smells like grape juice a bit. I much prefer it's cousin fragrance Intelligence & Fantasy.

Somehow it reminds me mure et musc from l'artisan parfumeur. I have got huge blast of plum.
