Atlas Mountain Rose

I agree with Clickingpenguin here - Atlas Mountain Rose is a must-have for every rose junkie..and why not? It's the perfect combination of fresh dewy rose and citrus notes that will make anyone around you want to be around you for longer time! I agree with all reviewers who say this is lighter, musk-free version of the Moroccan Rose fragrance. Though relatively more linear, this fragrance is all the more pleasant because of its easy affordability too! Easily an inoffensive day-time perfume with a comfortable sillage that sits pretty close to skin. In Indian summer I've found it works better as a body spray than a perfume, but then I sometimes layer it with Jovan White Musk to make it more suitable for night, and that just adds much more drama to it, extending the longevity and sillage.

I bought this for myself when I was on a college trip to the mall with my classmates. I found the Body Shop section and went to buy this perfume, along with a collection of beauty and health care products. And I gotta say, it's the perfect perfume I have bought so far. Perfect and cute bottle design (I like dome-shaped bottle designs), perfect perfume liquid color (love pink!), perfect price for it, and most importantly, perfect scent! I love its soft, fresh, and floral scent. I used to live in the Middle East, and all my life I grew up with very strong-scented perfumes. And I longed for one that is soft and sophisticated. And this one fits! Also, everyone was into cherry blossom-themed makeup, so I wanted to try it as well. Chose for the theme, stayed for its quality!

A really lovely casual rose scent. I really love this scent in general, it's so cheery and bright. It's my favourite body wash and use it every day, it puts me in such a good mood. Although I love the scent, I tend not to wear the fragrance often, just because I feel like the sillage and longevity are not strong with the EDT. To have any chance of it lasting a couple of hours, I really need to layer it on with multiple products in this scent, including body wash, body cream, body oil on pulse points, and a several sprays of the EDT. And I would still carry the fragrance mist or EDT in my bag to reply later throughout the day. This is the only downside, it's a lot of work to keep this scent going! It's too bad because it's such a pretty fragrance otherwise.

The Body Shop broke my heart when they discontinued Moroccan Rose. I tried on Atlas Mountain Rose this morning, expected not liking it. Yet, it stole my heart by surprise. Atlas Mountain Rose is indeed a true rose. To be precise, it's an early morning-dew Moroccan rose. The previous TBS Moroccan Rose is deep and sensual, whereas Atlas Mountain Rose is playful and light-hearted. Overall, it's a lovely, feminine, refreshing, and inoffensive rose scent. I actually love it (a little bit) more than Moroccan Rose. I'm buying another this weekend just in case The Body Shop decides to discontinue it and break my heart again.

I love this. At first I didn't expect much, but after spraying it settles into this pure, clean and lovely soapy smell with a nice background of rose. I love it so much. Very soft, well rounded and extremely pleasant scent. I really emphasize that it smells clean and soapy, but not like the typical soapy scents. This makes me think of a naked woman standing in a yard, surrounded by fresh laundry hung up to dry in the sunlight. the only problem with it is although I can smell it for the first few hours, it doesn't last that long because it's so soft and I have to smell up close to get a good smell of it.

This is one of the best Rose scents that came out of The Body Shop, a few years ago. Sadly, it's in the discontinued line up and have seen it on clearance (40-60% off) for quite some time on their website. From the bath gel, body butter, and EDT, all are exceptional buys. The Rose in Atlas Mountain is delicate, airy, and so easy to wear. This is the fragrance that made my dislike for all things Rose change. Soon after, I found myself testing all kinds of Rose scents. Stock up while they're still available.

I adore this fragrance and am sad that it was discontinued before I could purchase a second bottle. It's not especially complex but the rose is just beautiful very photorealistic, the musk and amber come through in the dry down, it is almost a skin scent but in the first 2 hours I wear it, there is decent projection and a lovely silage...I think of every fragrance I own this is the one that gets me the most compliments.

Smells like roses de chloe,minus the muskiness and slight fruitiness from RDC,personal advice,don't get the perfume oil because it's not worth it,the projection is also very soft and the sillage is moderate,smells like your basic rose scent,80% plain rose with a bit of musk and citrus,that's it Packaging:0(no box) Bottle:3.5 Scent:8.5 Sillage:4 Longevity:4 Repurchase? I love this. Very pleasant and rosy like a fresh rose. I get the citrus in the begining, then it dries down to a very lovely, slightly powdery rose ( just the tiniest hint of powder). All in all very fresh. British Rose by the Body Shop, compared to this is more clean and sharp, it lacks that tad of powder that I enjoy) Very nice everyday scent. Sillage and longevity are weak to moderate.

Every rose junkie should at least try this. In my opinion, it is one of the truest rose scents I've ever smelled. I would put it up there with Stella and Bvlgari Rose Essentielle, but it doesn't last as long as I would like it to. Still, it's amazing. And it's inexpensive, so you can apply it more than once in a day without feeling like you're spraying your money away.

I adore this scent. I used to feel that rose was a very old fashioned scent and my nose since has decided otherwise (or I have aged...) I love that this scent has a bit of sweet (maybe that's the citrus?) and is not overwhelming or too strong. It's just a lovely soft rose that feels soft, feminine, and dreamy. I wear this often.

occasionally i am guilty of cheap thrills and sometimes it pays off! surprisingly good sheer rose scent. Upon application i get rose petals and even the green stems and i love that! smells natural enough and not perfumey or sickly sweet. it's sillage is fresh and sparkly. the best from the line.

For a rose fragrance, this is awesome. For me it smells like sugary roses. I usually don't like just rose fragrances. This one Was a nice surprise. I have just a little Bottle, planning on buing it in fullsize. I recommend if you like rose fragrances And even if you don't, you might like it :)

My signature perfume! Atlas Mountain Rose is just that ROSES! fresh and floral this is a perfect spring scent, day or night, for any occasion. If you are looking for a rose perfume, then I highly recommend this one to try.

I am a rose perfume lover so this is an instant love for me. I bought it in 2020 during clearance, it was not expensive but it is a VERY weak scent. The scent itself is lovely but I wish it would last longer.

Love this classic scent. It gives fresh roses after a spring rain. It's so fresh and light while still staying warm and comforting with a light powdery scent. Very natural rose smell, not artificial.

Beautiful gift from my mum day before my wedding day. Shame it's discontinued, it forever has a place in my heart. Smells gorgeous but it's a shame it only lasts couple of hours.

For me this is a subdued version of Cartier's So Pretty, a lost favourite of mine. The only difference I sense is the strength, and I enjoy this one quite as much.

True rose, dewy, subtle and noble. It's like a veil of delicacy that you can feel in a roses garden in the early morning. Lovely, sensual, unforgettable.

I'm a fan of rose scents and The Body Shop is no stranger to me, as I've been through a bottle each of their Cassis Rose and Moroccan Rose EDTs. Upon initial spritz, it's a sweet, coy, and playful rose. It's not the cloying, sugary kind of sweetness, but an innocent, inviting one that keeps you whiffing for more. It's nicely blended in that it smells genuine enough for a rose scent yet doesn't bore you with it. Each time I spray it I keep envisioning these little red rose petals flying in my room in a cloud of pink mist. I think it's better than its predecessors in that it has a milky, enveloping quality in its drydown, which is still unmistakably rose. Nonetheless, sillage is weak and it sits very close to the skin. It's pleasantly perceptible when you're quietly sitting by yourself in your work desk or in public transit. Otherwise, it gets overpowered and undetectable when other scents and odors pervade the air. The scents on my wrists disappear at the first hand wash. Though the scent on my other pulse points last until late afternoon. I'd like to know how it mingles with my sweat and body chemistry, but the weather's been cold as of late. I might consider other rose perfumes simply because of its weak sillage; otherwise, I really love it.

Atlas Mountain Rose is very nice: a lovely straightforward rose scent that's kept from being boring by just the right amount of extra notes. It's a very natural, fresh, dewy rose at heart, coated in the added juicy sweetness of citrus and amber and soft musk. Those notes enhance the rose scent in a lovely, subtle way: they make it a bit syrupy, almost candied even, but without making it any less fresh or becoming too dominant or even recognisable themselves. It's not especially sophisticated, it doesn't change much throughout its life span, but it does one thing very well: it's really all about the rose, and it's so delicious. I was looking for a basic but interesting rose perfume, and this one definitely qualifies. I don't think I'm done experimenting with the many different incarnations and combinations of rose in fragrance, but when it comes to pure rose I'd be surprised to find one I like better than this, especially at this price!

Sadly, all The Body Shop fragrances turn sour on me instantly. Atlas Mountain Rose is no exception. But fortunately, contrary to others, the sour note partly faded with time, allowing me to smell a very pretty rose. It's a simple rose scent where I can't notice the other notes, but light, delicate, feminine, and that would be totally appropriate for the office or in Summer as it doesn't really have a sillage. It's not quite a skin scent, but not very far from it. It's a comforting rose to wear like a secret, just for yourself. If you want a pretty rose without any orange blossom-citrus-tonka-vanilla-sweet ethyl maltol or any other "commercial trendy" blend, and without any heavy oriental or vintage scent, this fragrance might be for you.

Bought this to fill the void left by the discontinuation of The Body Shop Tea Rose, which was just perfect. This doesn't live up to its predecessor. It's a warm, citrussy rose. I adore rose in perfumery but prefer it to not be mixed with any citrus at all, and I find that here the amber competes too much with the floral scent, making it a tad unnatural. It also dries down a bit powdery and is not very long lasting. I don't mean to be so negative about it since it's really a good attempt at a true rose! However, I'm just fussy about my roses and for me personally, Paul Smith Rose wins out every time.

A very powdery rose, slightly musky, but in an understated, shy way. It's almost too pretty for me, yet comforting. Although I prefer my rose fragrances a bit greener and fresh (e.g. In Full Bloom by Kate Spade, or TBS' British Rose), I reach for Atlas Mountain Rose when I need a comforting fragrance. It evokes a proper Victorian lady. Almost too well-behaved, for my taste, but comforting nonetheless. Like grandma's hug.

If you're a rose lover, this is a pleasing, affordable light rose fragrance perfect for work or for days when you just want something easy to wear, likeable and with low projection. In the same vein as Paul Smith Rose, DKNY Rose and Lancôme Milles et une roses. If you want it to last a little longer, layer it with the body lotion. The sillage is still low but this increases longevity by several hours on my skin.

I tried this on my skin today and ended up loving it. At first spray, it was one dimensional rose- very pretty and feminine, but nothing new. However after about an hour, the rose mingles with a hint of subtle musk and you have a beautiful scent with a sort of clean laundry smell. It's really lovely. It would be ideal for work as it smells clean and feminine but is never in your face or loud or cloying.

i have been liking Body Shop frangrances since Moonflower. For me, body shop frangrances are all very simple and liner frangrances. Whenever my nose need a break from heavy or complicated frangrance or i need a safe non-provocative frangrances. Body shop is where i turn to. This is slightly different from Moroccan Rose. Atlas Rose is a decent rose, a bit sour and a bit bitter.

This is identical to The Body Shop's Moroccan Rose from a few years back! My parents got me this for Christmas and it is a very pleasant, light and fresh rose scent. I'd say this is a safe perfume which would not offend anyone and a lot of people would like it. It seems to have a calming effect on me, and I like to spritz it before bed if I've just gone for a bath.

This is just a beautiful true rose scent. The citrus gives it a bit of freshness and the musk gives it airiness and keeps it light and the amber is faint in the background but gives it a bit of warmth. It does smell similar to Moroccan Rose however this one is lighter and more whimsical while Moroccan Rose is spicier, darker and slightly exotic.

I am lucky enough to have a bottle of the oil before it was discontinued. It does last a bit longer than the EDT spray. But not by much. This is nice and simple but you need to reapply so often that it's a chore to wear. Not the best rose scent out there but not the worst. Cheap and cheerful but not as elegant as a rose perfume should be.

There is something about several of the body shops fragrances, especially the edT versions that can easily turn stale and unpleasant on my skin. Actually it can get rather horrible. I have this one in perfume oil though, and I have absolutely no problems with that. Just friendly sweet rose, rather clean and fresh.

I tried this today and it reminds me of the lovely discontinued Cassis Rose, but a bit lighter. I'm delighted and will be investing in the whole range for spring/summer. It's the sort of thing that I like to put on after my evening shower in summer - nothing too perfumey, just fresh and clean and lovely.

A very powdery rose smell. Smells exactly like the rose talc my mum wears during summer. As an Indian living in a country obsessed with rose scents, i found this really light and not the intense rose smell i associate with other rose scents and it's definitely not strong enough to wear at night.

This is much better than morocan rose or previous rose line from TBS. I agree that is similar to Paul Smith but it is sweeter. Another my beloved rose fragrance that is so fresh, natural, dewy, and not synthetic. If you love Paul Smith Rose, you'll love this!

To me this is a very pleasant smelling rose fragrance. It does not however remind me of Paul Smith Rose in the slightest/ I think it is very similar to Rosie For Autograph by M&S. Longevity is not brilliant, up to 4 hours on me, I wish it was more.

Citrusy and rosy. A little bit sweet and not at all one of those screechy, harsh roses. I hate the type of musky rose as in Philosophy Amazing Grace, but this is different from that. It almost has a liquorice note somewhere. Nice!

Pretty much a dead ringer for Roses de Chloe! Sheer, fresh roses! The longevity for this is pretty good (around 5 hours) and it sits a little close to the skin. Would make a great scent for a warm spring day.

I adore this. Fresh, happy rose with a hint of sweetness. A dewy summer morning in a garden of pale pink roses. Quite cool and refreshing -- lovely on hot days. If only it lasted longer!

I liked it in the beginning, but after i got rose from Woods of Windsor, I found this a bit suffocating...and when i got red rose/jo malone then i do not want to wear it anymore...

It's fine. Rose, citrus, musk. It is actually really crystalline and frosty in winter which is very pretty. Plain but serviceable in spring and summer. Nice.

I had the fragrance mist, loved to use it during hot summer days, it was not heavy at all and really refreshing, specially when I stored it in the fridge.

the body products such as shower gel/body lotion in this range are fantastic, and would go with a wide range of rosy perfumes.

This is very close to Paul Smith "Rose" or TBS "Morrocan Rose". But the staying power is not as good as with Paul Smith.

This is the kind of rose I like, modern and fresh. Lovely for spring and summer!

Nice citrusy rose for a couple of hours but the dry down gives me rose-scented laundry detergent - there's a lot of musk in this. Lasts longer than I'd expected, a good five or six hours.

Very sharp and cool, its alright if you like that kinda thing but to me just has the texture of a scratchy jumper in a smell

I adore this scent! I tried Pacifica Persian Rose at the same time as Atlas Mountain Rose and to me Atlas Mountain Rose wins hands down. While Pacifica Persian Rose smells like old fashioned rose potpourri to my nose, Atlas Mountain Rose is a beautiful fresh smelling rose. The perfume oil lasts for quite a while on well moisturized skin and also layers well with other scents. I especially like to layer it with Lavanila Pure Vanilla.
