Full Iris

I feel like this perfume is flying under the radar, because it absolutely holds up to all my niche and designer perfumes in my collection. I went to the body shop for a hair product and happened to smell their new line of perfumes. The other 3 in the line smelled like linear and straighforward, but Full Iris immediately stood out to me. On paper and on skin it is just gorgeous. The juniper provides that peppery quality that some are comparing to Glossier You, however I don't think they smell similar. I absolutely get the Iris, but it is not cologne, bathwater Iris i think people are expecting in this. It is like the Iris in Gris Charnel or a deeper, woodsy perfume. However this is light enough to be a daytime scent. It's kind of criminal that we can get this type of formulation at this price.

This is an amazing, beautiful scent. It is, however, not very iris forward, more woodsy, if anything. This is such a calming scent, i (inadvertently) used it to Pavlov myself to sleep. You see, using perfume to sleep is my go to, because i like to do it for myself, and I chose this scent, as I felt it was nice and cozy enough. Now, every time I smell this, I feel more calm, probably because I conditioned myself to think of "bedtime" and this scent as an indivisible concept. The iris is faint, if ever present, the juniper berries and cedar squash it. Kind of ironic if you think of its name, truly.One of the few perfumes other people love and want to steal regularly, which is slightly weird and unusual, but oh well.

When I spray on my skin it's super junipery and stays almost one-note juniper and sharp woods, and is kind of overwhelming. I prefer to spray on clothing or bedding, where it turns into a really lovely soft cozy skin scent. Funny that it turns into more of a skin scent on me when it's NOT on my skin! Lasts a very long time either way. As others said, reminds me of Glossier You with juniper subbed for the pink pepper. Also isn't as musky as You, imo. If this had pink pepper instead of juniper, it would probably be my favourite fragrance ever.

This is a beautiful quality scent - juniper, citrus, black pepper with a hint of iris that gorgeously entwine.... A refreshing fizz with moreish flavour. I think would be fabulous for summer. Good sillage and decent longevity for this cruelty free perfume.... Also a great price for its quality! If you like juniper sling by Penhaligans- this smells incredibly similar and lasts much longer - at a fraction of the price!

My fav out of all the body shop scents I got to try. This is predominantly a very dry woody scent with a touch of iris and juniper berries in the opening. The opening is juniper berries with some woods and it dries down to woody iris but more so the woods. Pretty simple scent but it's nice. I disagree that it leans feminine and if anything I'd say it leans masculine with the juniper berries and woody base. 8/10

This is beautiful. I don't think the notes listed here are an accurate representation of the scent though - it's more complex than this. I pick up on a bergamot opening which is very strong. Once it has dried down it is such a beautiful iris scent. It is VERY similar to Glossier You (I have both and the dry down of TBS Full Iris is indistinguishable IMO).

I really like full iris out of other premium range from body shop. It is warm and grounded. I think a hint of juniper berries gave a bit of gin like smell as well. It fits nicely with many occasions and can be wore by both couple.

beautiful floral, it feels gothic and understated. lasts better on clothes than it does on the skin, I like to spritz my whole outfit before I leave the house to make an impression.

It smells like incense in a beautiful old cathedral but very fresh somehow too.

As others have said it is a very misleading name and not Iris forward at all. It is a more of a woodsy forward fragrance with the Iris and Juniper playing supporting roles. And don't expect a powdery Iris either! I think when it mingles with the Juniper you get a slightly more sharp acidic nature to the Iris but the wood warms it up a touch but only a touch. As for me if this fragrance was a colour it would be a cool toned colour so the bottle is an excellent representation. It evokes the same cool nonchalant feeling I get from wearing Memo French leather. It is very much unisex leaning just over by a whisper to Masculine. And sillage well, that's where I get disappointed......it's just not great. Definitely more skin scent. BUT I realised when wearing it on a warm day the warmth helped the projection quite a bit, like double. And that works for me as I'm not a floral person and only a hint of fruit so I struggle for summer/spring fragrances. A lot of my woodsy/spicy/resin/sweet fragrances are just too heavy for summer so this is perfect for me. Still my scent profile but a lot less assault everyone's noses around me strength.

I stumbled upon this fragrance after buying TBS body mists - pink pepper and apricot. I’m in love with Glossier You and thought I would give this perfume a go. I blindly purchased on a black friday deal. I’m confused why its summary says “floral fragrance” this is 100% a woody fragrance. I layered Full Iris with Glossier You and it softens it and makes the fragrance more rounded and skin scented. This fragrance is unisex but leans more masculine as the cedar & juniper berries are the strongest notes. I think it’s a nice fragrance...kind of one note (cedar) and that woodiness reminds me of By The Fireplace. I’ll have to give this fragrance more time and wear it out. Most of my collection is very floral, gourmand, and feminine so this is outside my comfort zone.

I’ve always associated iris with lipsticky fragrances but the name “full iris” seems to be very misleading as this is not your typical iris dna It reminds me a lot of the smell of a pure oil fragrance from CK, I believe it was Truth for women? But something about it tells me otherwise. A very familiar scent but my best guess would be the mentioned fragrance. I swear I know what it is but i can’t seem to scratch that itch and I’m hella annoyed. This is very woody and very peppery. Straight up wood chips and pepper, almost hickory barbecue-like. It’s also very citrusy despite not having citrus as a listed note. This could easily be a woody green mandarin and pepper fragrance—totally not iris. Pleasant, fresh, but not my cup of tea.

This review will be a bit different from my usual style, much like the fragrance itself. This is the rare kind of scent that doesn’t remind me of anything at all. It’s clean, sharp, almost an indecent kind of nothingness in a bottle. Although I’d say it leans toward the masculine side, I still find myself wanting to call it pretty. If it were a person, it would be an androgynous young man who turns heads wherever he goes, yet somehow lacks warmth or common ground. Juniper and cedar steal the spotlight despite iris’s attempts to warm up the crowd. I can’t deny how beautiful he is, but he’s definitely not for me. I admire him the way you admire a sculpture: from a respectful distance.

I agree with all the comments pointing out that this perfume isn't mainly an iris one - it is mostly juniper and wood. Honestly kind of hate the opening on my skin, it reeks of ethanol for the first few minutes, but maybe there's just something wrong with my bottle. I stop feeling it on myself after 30-40 minutes even with vaseline, but it is still noticeable for other people, and the smell stays on my clothes till the next day. To me, it's perfectly unisex, mysterious and dark, reminds me of an old basement but in a good way. Definitely good for cold and breezy spring and autumn days.

Full Iris? More like Full Juniper, because that's 75% of what I smell. At least I've found a dupe for Juniper Sling now, a stronger version, in my opinion. Juniper Sling has about as much sillage as a La Croix seltzer, and while other people found the sillage and longevity of Full Iris lacking, on me it projects really well. I *think* there's some iris in here, but I'm not sure. I do get some cedar. I also get citrus. It's actually funny how absurd the marketing is. I like it though. It's just not Full Iris, it's Null Iris.

i really like this scent. it's safe and inoffensive. it smells woody and aromatic but i don't really smell the iris. this scent is easy to wear and everytime i couldn't think of what perfume to wear, i'd use this. however, the longevity n projection aren't there. i had to spray soo much to smell it on my skin and clothes and that's why i ran out of it so fast. i hope i could find another perfume that smells exactly like this but with better longevity n projection.

I really like this fragrance, it’s definitely unisex, maybe slightly leaning on masc, which I don’t mind at all, and it’s quite serious, sharp and grounded (subtly sweet I think?), but not too serious or harsh. It has a kind of sensual, dark feeling, and gothic feeling, it really just reminds me of a goth, and would definitely suit someone who is into that aesthetic, woman or man, and any age. It’s very non offensive, but is there, and just sexy imo 🖤

While I don't smell anything resembling a strong iris, my first impression of this was really positive, it goes well with glossier you and I mainly only use them together to give a stronger woody scent. I think it still smells lovely on its own, very comforting, strong, dry and somewhat masculine. My friends definitely think it smells more like a cologne but I think it can be pretty feminine in its own way.

Full Iris is a rather linear scent, with the exception that the iris note is a bit more prominent during the first minutes after spraying. However, from beginning to drydown, the fragrance is dominated by cedar and woody accords, while iris plays the second fiddle. The cedar note is nicely done and this is therefore a lovely scent for fall, and perfectly unisex.

For me, I find this to be very much a powdery iris! Mind you do have to wait for it to dry down a bit but it doesn’t take long to get there. On first spray it smells not great- like straight ethanol with sharp peppery juniper. Let that evaporate off for a few minutes and it becomes a very lovely powdery iris. I can’t stop smelling it!

Very very nice fresh iris flower perfume, not powdery and very feminine in my opinion. Unfortunately, does not stay long on my skin, but 75 ml bottle let's me to respray it whenever I need. The aroma is not bothering so it is safe for the office. Though it is not a very special or outstanding, it still is a lovely perfume to own.

A beautiful, inexpensive fragrance. Sort of like a lighter, less citrus-forward cousin to one of my favorites, Luna by Penhaligons. Fresh iris with a woody, fresh dry down. It performs more like a body splash than a perfume, but not too bad for the price. Probably won’t repurchase, but will enjoy nonetheless.

this is such a hit for the price point! juniper and cedar heavy to my nose, with iris taking a backseat but it's delightfully fresh, peppery and clean. lasts all day but projects intimately, and a compliment getter. i wear this when i'm sick of sweetness and want to feel energized, clean and put together!

Iris can sometimes be powdery and lean into a "lipstick" note. This is not that. This Iris is more crisp and green. It actually reminds me more of tea fragrances. This would also layer well. It is fairly linear. While I like it and plan to use it, I don't think I would purchase again.

I've found the sillage to be great on this one! Put some on this morning and can still smell it this evening. Definitely powdery and woody, and would like the iris to shine through a bit more, but very happy with this purchase considering it was also a blind buy.

I own quite few of iris perfumes and they’re not lying about having iris in this bottle. This is giving the woody, molecule 01 alike musky iris perfume with average longevity and average sillage ( 4-5 hours on skin and 12 hours on clothes). 7/10!!

I love this fragrance. To me, it’s a soft spicy woody fragrance reminiscent of juniper gin. If you like the aroma of gin, you’ll love Full Iris.

The best from full flowers collection completely unisex pleasant fresh iris a little nostalgic to me but however beautiful 7.5/10

i am smelling a lot of citrus in the opening! its nice tho, perfectly unisex everyday fragrance. wears close to the skin.

great alternative for escentric 01 - similar scent and sillage. more juniper-y than iris. great affordable skin scent

It is a clean energizing purple scent. Nice to have.

Iris? Eh... not really. More like, cedar wood with some tiny bit of powder on top. But that's why I tried this fragrance. I wouldn't have tried it if the reviews said it was actual iris as I'm not a fan of iris at all, but since folks around here said it smelt nothing like iris, I gave it a go. It's decent, but I find it extremely faint. Possibly the faintest of the lot in the Body Shop series. Smells a little mature and masculine-leaning. Sits intimately on the skin. I don't mind smelling it, to be honest, but I'm not crazy for it, either. Not sure if it's just me, but I get the vibe of Burberry Hero on this fragrance. That one is more masculine, but also has cedar wood as prominent note. Perhaps that is why I am reminded of it. I don't get ambroxan here, thankfully, but I do get ISO E Super. Overall, I think it's alright, but not the best in the series. I think Magnolia and Ylang-ylang are the best ones.

Starts off powdery and fresh and settles into a dry very soft soapy cedar. Very reminiscent of the texture of iris perfumes, it reminds me of l'infusion d'homme de prada. I do get an iso e super type smell. Longevity is sadly EXTREMELY poor, 20 mns after having spraid my wrist 4 times I barely smell anything with my nose to my skin. If longevity was better I would have purchased it.

It’s...just okay. I could smell the iris as soon as I sprayed it on, but the juniper and cedarwood are actually at the forefront on this scent. I don’t think it’s bad, quite the opposite as it’s fresh and crisp, it is simply not to my taste.

Full Iris with almost no iris!! It was so faint on the card I could hardly smell a thing. Oh wait... its an invisible iris.

This is a total disappointment, the worst of the 4 perfumes. The performance of the perfume is so weak that I can hardly smell anything. The scent is so faint that I have to sniff really hard to get it. Instead of iris, which is in the name, I get more junifer berry. It is aromatic, fresh, and cool, like sniffing gin&tonic. Iris is absent here, at least I don't get any powdery smell. However, cedar and juniper berry is a pleasant combination, suitable for summer. Unfortunately, once again, the performance is unacceptably weak.

this opens with a lot of cedar and juniper. it's woody and herbal. no iris to smell here. it leans traditionally masculine. smells like freshly cut wood, a tiny whisper of juniper and chemicals, that's it. not my cup of tea. too subtle and woodsy. smells very 'clean'. a TINY bit of iris may be sensed in the background after awhile, but not nearly enough to consider this an iris scent.

There’s plenty of violet for sure, but I get no Iris note whatsoever. It’s about as disappointing as expected of a fragrance this cheap. It smells old lady violet to my nose, and it’s not shy either which I’d actually prefer with this scent profile. A blind buy, and a swing and a miss at that. I adore both lipsticky iris and creamy iris, sadly this has non of that.

Barely any iris to be found, projection lacking. At least it's not horribly expensive but with the performance and longevity it's just an overpriced body spray.

Where is the iris? I find none. Tuberose though I think. Dissappointing.

I adore most of the body shops' fragrances, especially the full flower collection, I went to try it out and it smelled of dirt to me, I don't know if it had gone bad but it smelled repulsive, maybe it didn't combine well with my skin chemistry. One thing I can say is it does last long even after scrubbing.

As other reviewers have correctly observed, this fragrance has a somewhat misleading name, because iris is not the most prominent note - instead, juniper berries dominate, closely followed by woody notes, whereas the titular iris and other flowers are cast in supporting roles. Nevertheless, the scent is very beautiful, aromatic, enjoyable and perfectly unisex. Juniper is a bit of a 'marmite' note - people either love it or can't stand it. Luckily I'm in the first category, I actively crave juniper-dominant fragrances, so Full Iris is right up my alley. The iris in this fragrance is neither dusty nor too powdery, but fresh, green, and almost 'wet'. The scent projects nicely and lasts about 4-5 hours on my skin. If it was launched by a niche 'maison' it would have cost 200 euros for 75ml. Fortunately, The Body Shop prices are still within everybody's reach, so if you enjoy aromatic fragrances with lots of juniper, then hurry up and buy this humble beauty.

A warm, dry, and woodsy iris. It evokes memories of the 2000's, sitting in my aunt's boho/whimsigoth living room in London. She lived in a beautiful victorian terrace, with sun pouring through the tall windows. Her furniture was solid oak, and her cotton upholstery was soft and aged and faded from all the sunlight. She had beautiful ornaments and glass art everywhere. Cosy, but in a lived-in, authentic way... rather than the pristine beige way you see on social media nowadays. That's how this feels. Iris is my favorite note and I wear it daily but I didn't want to burn through my expensive fragrances too quickly. This is my filler fragrance for when I want to feel comfortable and grounded, but still pretty.

An awful molecule scent, smells bad and like nothing all at the same time. In fact, it smells like a void - the absence of smell! Very obviously Iso-E Super and Ambroxan mixed together in a superdose. Immediately reminds me of the Escentric Molecules scents, Glossier You, DS&Durga Don't Know What, JHAG Not A Perfume, etc. Maybe you would like this if you were a minimalist and really wanted to smell clean, or wanted to help a scent really project (and maybe I will try it in that way, could be a fun experiment), but I personally would not wear it alone because I like smelling like flowers, gourmands, woods, etc. Basically just another layering perfume amplifier.

This is beautiful! 🤩💜 Reminiscent of the first of the long line of Tiffany&Co fragrances that came out starting in 2017. Definitely Iris to my nose & brain. It does seem that some people seem anosmic to this scent. Thankfully not me! What a bargain for a great perfume! I would never think this is as inexpensive as it is! Way to go Body Shop!
